Xero Expenses - Show original currency + currency amount
Have the original currency + amount available as field options in the Reports section, so I can run an expense details report and see both the original currency and the GBP.
The use case here is that we have US people using Xero Expenses who need paying in USD. I have to go into each expense item to manually write down the USD value and the add it up to pay. It's properly daft when I know the currency amount is there. And we can't enter it as a bill because they are using Xero expenses.

send notifications for declined expenses (Xero Expenses). the only notification send is for approve expenses but not for declined expenses
23 votesHi community, returning to share an update on the work we had done here - Though our product team started releasing updates to the notifications we quickly found that this meant some users began receiving a lot more notifications, and we've made the tough decision to switch these back off.
In time our team would like to create controls so users can set notification preferences. However, this will require considerable work and not something we commit to right now.
We're going to shift the idea back to Accepted and soon as we can pick this up again I'll make sure to share an update here.

AU Payroll - Set a percentage on an employees bank account
Give the ability to set a percentage (i.e) 50% on an employees bank account when paying across more than one bank.
I have an employee who always splits her pay equally between 2 bank accounts, however she is a commission paid rep and therefore each pay amount is different. So the current function is no use to me- which allows a $$ amount to be set only. This is fine for set salaried employees but not for commissioned sales reps.

AU Timesheets - Change time entries to four decimal places (up from two)
Change decimal places for hours to 4 decimal places instead of 2. When hours are imported from Tanda it shows errors, as Tanda exports to 4 decimal places for more accuracy

UK Payroll - Submit Additional Voluntary Contributions direct to NEST
Would like to be able to add a fixed amount deduction as pension contributions. Currently the option is to manually add a pension contribution, but this cannot be submitted direct to NEST, so has to be manually typed into NEST.

AU Payroll - Include all-purpose allowances in shift loading
We pay our employees under the Electrical award which includes several compulsory 'All Purpose' allowances that are now reported separately as per STP2. When our staff are paid a shift loading, these allowances need to be included in the loading. I have to manually add the allowances into each all purpose loading (which is time consuming)
Can you please have an option to fix this in the pay items? There are certain allowances that have to be included in overtime, annual leave (which you have an option to include) but you dont have one for shift loading7 votes -
Expenses: Automatic mileage tracking
Quickbooks has "motion tracking" mileage, meaning the user doesn't have spent time entering their starting and final postcodes, they literally just turn the feature on and it auto records their mileage via GPS. I have clients (using Xero) who are on the road everyday for business purposes and this feature would be so useful for them to save time.

While our team have a keen eye on the idea and interest in exploring this in the future we want to be open that resources are across other important work atm and there are no plans to develop this, this year.

A single button click to re-instate a previous employee, rather than having to re-enter all the information. Particularly useful for example when employing students in college holidays

AU Payroll - Tracking/Department Coding for reports
Payroll Department Coding - to be able to put a department code on all payroll categories and report to show employee name/gross wages/department coding assigned to payroll. The only way in Xero at the moment is through timesheets but this does not allow for all payroll categories to have a department code allocated. And when producing a timesheet report it does not show the $ gross wages for each employee only the hours. Need to include coding on allowances, leave and super.

UK Payroll Reports - Option to export to Excel
P11 PAYE & P11 NIC annual reports, need to have an option to export as Excel, instead of auto downloading as a webpage.
My auditor requested these in Excel format and there was not an option for this, it would make it much easier if these type of reports could have download options, so you could export to excel.
This will also allow usage for tracking and internal auditing.

As you’ve found, it’s not possible to export the P11 reports in excel format. Totally understand that copying and pasting details from the .html file is a time-consuming process!
Just curious if there’s specific information required in the P11 reports that’s unavailable in our other reports?
You can find much of the same information in the ‘Gross to Net’ and ‘Payroll Activity Detail / Summary’ reports, and they do support saving as an excel file.

Timesheets: See selected approvers on timesheet
See who was selected as an approver by employees. If we have been selected as an approver by the employee, it is currently impossible to know if they also selected their appropriate approver to know if we should reject the timesheet or leave or if we can wait for the appropriate approver to approve the timesheet or leave.

Payroll Report - Annual Payroll Summary
A year-end payroll report which lists the employees, and provides total amounts for Gross earnings, PAYE, and all other deductions for the financial year, with company totals at the bottom. Basically it could just be a one-page summary for the year, depending how many employees there are. Most other payroll systems have the report option, and it's very important for end of year wages reconciliations.

UK Payroll- Access to a communal time off calendar for all employees.
As a smaller business we try to have one employee off at a time where possible- it would be hugely useful if they could access a shared leave calendar in the same place as they request leave & submit timesheets from. This would pull data from my admin overview calendar and stop me having to create external calendar in iOS and another in android which leads to missing data etc and wasted holiday requests. UK Timesheets: Shortcut to previous timesheet period
When entering the weekly timesheet for employees (they complete it on a sheet and I enter last week's hours on Xero), you have to go back to Timesheets where it shows this week's timesheet and you have to scroll down to last week.
Please can Xero create a path at the top where you can click on the timesheet week you are working on? At the moment you can only click on the blue 'Timesheets' which take you back to this week and not last week or the week you working on.
