Ability to attached files to a pay run and employees
Hey team 😊 happy to come back to share that this work is now underway with our product team as they begin development for managing files within Xero Payroll.
We really value the feedback we've received from you all in this idea, which has helped inform our teams approach to developing a solution that will fit majority of needs.
I'll return to share as we get nearer to release with more information on what this looks like including where and how you'll be able to attach files in Payroll.

I need to attach Employee Data Sheet completed by the new employee as evidence. As well I want to upload images of their driver's licence and tickets and certificates of attainment.

Is there any way to add documents to employees example staff contracts doctor's certificates etc

We need to be able to attach a letter to each payslip At the moment this has to be done manually.

We are all required to keep tax code and other notifications from HMRC for a number of years. Currently we have to do that in hard copy. It would be great to be able to upload a copy to the employee record instead.

This has been continually requested for at least the last 9 years since I have been using Xero, its not planned anytime soon.

I am now regretting moving to Xero. I cant upload warning letters, contracts etc to the profile. Hopefully we get this implemented

Perhaps Xero could advise if/when this is likely to be implemented as it will save all the Xero emails "There is new comment on an idea you supported".
A time frame would be most appreciated. If Xero are not going to implement it can you please send me details on how to get of this never ending cycle! This was first posted 2 1/2 years ago. -

Frustrating that adding documents to payroll and leave requests isn't an option.

The ability to attach documents to and employee record, Medical Certificate, Employment Contract etc
This should be a standard option.

I would like to see an option for doctors certificates to be able to be uploaded, when requesting personal & carers' leave. Storing information with xero is ideal

With a 76% surge in profit to $86m I find it obscene that Xero will not attend to this simple request from every payroll user in Australia. It's been going on for far too long with no acceptable excuse. Shame!

I have been waiting for this feature for years! Why is this not a priority now?

Yes please, we need to store employee documents in the employee's card.

While we appreciate the innovations Xero brings, it's disappointing to see that a basic feature, which is already available for Suppliers and Customers, is being treated as an add-on with an extra cost. Duplicating this function shouldn’t be that difficult, and it feels like this is more about generating additional revenue rather than improving customer experience. We, your customers, shouldn’t have to pay extra for something so fundamental. Please reconsider this approach and prioritise delivering better value to your loyal users.

I am afraid that is not good enough.

No thanks, will not be paying for a basic service. This should be automatically added into xero at no extra cost!

No thank you. This is a basic need that should be part of any payroll software. it's not as though it requires any complex coding or development. Pathetic, Xero!

This should be part of the functionality without doubt - poor form on your part Xero to even consider an add on at the client's expense!
