On the dashboard - near debtors/creditors/account watchlist there should be something like a pin up board where you or your adviser can write short memos or notes.

For example, I set up a new GST code (I am the Adviser) that will require the client to select this each time their create a particular invoice. As this process is new, you could write a quick reminder to the client - so each time they log in they see the reminder (the pinup board might even flash up on the screen when they first login too as the first thing they see).

Its a bit of an extension of the DISCUSS tab - rather than a comment about a specific transaction, it is a global discuss option.

Agree, notes on the dashboard would be incredibly handy

This is absolutely essential in an accounting office when different accountants work on the same job. It's vital to be able to leave notes for future reference in a place that will be seen as soon as the file is opened. I'm surprised it's not already an option!

I'd like to be able to add a sticky note to a client's Xero, for any reminders, tasks or notes, that will popup when we open the client ledger.

It would be great for when quotes get set up as one person (a real estate agent or a rep) but the invoice has to be sent to a head office or government agency, after being checked by the original person/rep, before you can get paid.

Having a note pop up or an icon that indicates you have notes so you can check before sending and no delay in payment.

Would also be great to have a notes icon, when searching in contacts.

This would be fantastic. It works well elsewhere, and it would be tremendous to have it in XERO also.

I would just like to be able to add notes on the dashboard, for example things my book keeper has told me to do like attach car insurance bill when paying car insurance

This would be extremely useful. Would like to be able to put reminders/notes to myself where I can easily access e.g. when paying car ins bill check gst is included....etc

It would be great to be able to make notes and/or create a to-do list on the dashboard. For example, I was over billed on a invoice and want to follow up in a couple weeks to see if the vendor provided me with a credit memo.

This would be invaluable! I find I'd often like to note what I'm currently waiting for from the client, and other important information that is needed for other co-workers to know, if they go into that file.

Come on XERO how about doing something that users want done.

This would be great if you could allocate to quotes and Invoices.
If not a pop up / sticky note that is obvious then for it to highlight a quote, invoice or contact when you search or just look at the list so you know to check the notes section.

Ability to write a note at the top of the dashboard (like a sticky note). This will assist bookkeepers and accountants when logging in to see client specific details eg. where a job it up to, any outstanding queries or tasks that need to be completed.

A note pad or a place to make notes on the client dashboard so that you can leave notes for yourself or anybody else who works with your clients (think outsource or someone new). All the quirks peculiar to that client and what comes through the bank accounts for reconciliation. Anything that maybe outstanding or will be needed to be dealt with for Annual Returns, reminders to yourself to reverse this journal or that when things cross EOY dates into the next FY

This would be brilliant for month end where there is a sequence of events that need to take place and several individuals are reliant on the last step being completed. Would save a lot of phone calls/messages.

The notes are an excellent addition but they don't stand out and tend to go unnoticed. They need to be a different colour that stands out as soon as the page is opened.
