    In Xero HQ as a partner we have the ability to create report packages however it is only for use within our practice, it would be really helpful if we had the option to share these with our clients.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your votes and comments on this idea. We’ve looked into this request, and at this stage, we won’t be moving forward with it.

    Report templates are a beneficial feature designed for our Xero Partners managing multiple clients.

    We do understand how important it is to have a consistent and repeatable reporting process. A good alternative is to use the Management Report within the client’s organisation. It allows you to build a customised report pack that can be saved and reused. You’ll find it under the Reports section, and there’s a Xero Central article that steps through how to set one up.

    Thanks again for your feedback—it helps shape how we continue to improve reporting in Xero.

  2. Update New Zealand trust financial reporting templates to comply with the Tax Administration (Financial Statement - Domestic Trusts) Order 2022 as set out in Inland Revenue's Operational Statement OS 22/02, including removing reference to repealed Trustees Act 1956 and replacing with Trusts Act 2019.

    Our Partner Consultants and Account Managers work closely with our Reporting team on compliance requirements. 

    While it is good to get a sense of the interest on the thread here - If not already we'd also recommend raising this with your Partner Consultant or Account Manager so they're aware of your needs in this, too. 🙂

  3. Currently is it not possible to generate an exception report showing new clients added during the previous month, quarter or year. This is an important piece of reporting for CRM purposes. Similarly, it would be nice to generate an exception report showing client changes with appropriate attribute filters.

  4. It would be a great help if we could update status for a job as and when the timesheet is done.
    At the moment we go to each job and update the status at the end of the day. In my opinion this would save lot my time hovering around.
    I have attached a screenshot in pdf to better explain.

  5. We have a number of sets of accounts that have been prepared under FRS102 1A but do still require an audit in the UK as the group as a whole exceeds more than 2 of the thresholds. There is currently no way to simply toggle on an auditors report, with additional free type text fields to file these via Xero Tax, which would be nice to be able to do and save us requiring another piece of software altogether for these clients.

  6. Improve XPM reporting for Xero Tax to enable extract of who has approved and signed (as tax agent) returns. Preferably including fields from client information - Client, Client Group, Account maanger (aka Partner), Job manager.

  7. Keyboard shortcuts in Xero Practice Manager

    Currently only have a shortcut for search (forward slash) in XPM, would like more shortcuts (like there are in Blue Xero) - eg:
    Dashboard / Clients / Jobs / Tax / Business / Reports tabs.

  8. When sending tax payment letters out via email it would be great to get an email if the address used is invalid. Like a bounce-back when you send an email from your usual email program. At the moment you have no idea if the client received the tax payment letter at all.

  9. Custom task rate - although the charge out rate can be amended for individual tasks for a member of staff, there is no "from" date that can be specified so it is applied to all un-invoiced WIP. It would therefore be very useful to be able to have the ability to put in a date from when the new rate should be applied.

  11. It would be great to be able to customise if the fields are mandatory or not for new client setups. This would allow us to ensure that the fields we need setup are being setup by the admin team.

  12. Change Capacity under Settings/Practice to allow for Saturday and Sunday so that on the Dashboard for Time Summary the time entered on Saturday and Sunday shows and is reflected in the Productivity circle on the Dashboard

  13. We use client codes for all our clients. There is an option to input this into the client record, but it would be good to be able to see that on the screen and sort by it, rather than just alphabetical list of clients.

    Hi there, we appreciate you raised this a little while ago. This isn't something we have plans for in the near term.

    Not getting a lot of support from other members we’ll soon remove this from Product ideas. If it’s still highly valuable to you, welcome to start it again and see if it gets renewed interest.

  15. For Tax return cover letters to have the ability to use the merge field 'Tax Form Due date' from the client record screen. Currently this placeholder is not available to Tax Return Cover Letters.

  16. The ability to add share class in relationships.
    Currently you can only add the number of shares.
    However, we have a lot of companies that have different share class types (A Class, B Class, ORD Class etc).
    SUGGEST: adding a field under number of shares where you can type the share class (see attached example).

    This is a critical feature for our firm that is missing from XPM.

    Hi community, thanks for engaging with us on how the prepopulation of W1 and W2 fields would improve efficiencies when preparing and filing tax with Xero.

    We're currently working on prepopulation of these fields where these would be generated from the ATO prefill.

    I'll be back to share another updates when this rolls out to partners on Xero Tax (AU).

  18. Have a multi tick box option for custom fields to be able to select more than one option.
    i.e. we are a multi disciplinary accounting firm and offer multi different services such as advisory, tax, bookkeeping etc and won't to be able to identify what the client has engaged us for [frequently it's more than one service]

  19. It would be very helpful that when a new Tax Return for a new Client is created that the Clients mobile numbers and emails are put in by default and we have the option to set a default for the Clients bank details & postal address to always be selected.
    I know that the information carries on from the previous year regarding the address and bank details but if the information is supplied on the new client profile before the Tax Return is created it should automatically select the Clients Information.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this idea.

    We want to highlight some existing functionality that could help streamline this process: on the Cover page of a return, there's a toggle that allows you to switch between the Agent’s details and Client’s details.

    Additionally, within the address section of the return, you can toggle to the client's address. Once you've successfully filed a tax return with the client's details selected - Xero remembers this preference. The next time you create a return for that specific client, their details will automatically be the default, saving you from having to manually change it again.

    Though we'll continue to monitor popularity of this idea, we want to be upfront that we don't have any direct plans around the pre-fill behaviour at this time. We'll share if there's any change in status surrounding this idea.

  20. Provide the ability to rename the Partner and Manager field. EG change them to Manager and Accountant
