  1. Hubdoc User roles - it would be incredibly helpful if upload only users were able to view (not edit or add) tags from a common list. We have 17 staff who have company visa's I'm wanting to use Hubdoc for them to be able to upload their visa receipts & invoices instead of having them manually sent to me the following month for coding and entering.

    I've set up the tags with the descriptions of the GL codes, however I've found that they are unable to view or use these tags without setting them up themselves. Having a communal list…

  2. On the Suppliers list, if you want to get to the next page you need to scroll down to the bottom of that page. Could there be a next page toggle at the top of the page as well as the bottom. This also is applicable to Customers.

  3. Sales Tax exempt form management in the U.S.A. Currently every year we have to manually ask and upload customers sales tax exempt certificates and update their tax status so we charge or don't charge sales tax. Would be nice to have a some sort of system where the customer is notified once a year and self uploads their tax exempt certificate which is linked to thier contact information. This would save alot of hours.

  4. Please automatically remove archived contacts from any previous groups, or show those groups on the archive page. the new group invoicing keep including archived contacts and showing errors. the only way to remove people from groups is to restore them, remove them from groups and the archive them again. with over 1100 contacts this is a mammoth task and one i don't have time for. it was all working fine before you changed to new invoicing, you made the problem, you should make the solution.

  5. Can Hubdoc extract the invoice reference or job reference from an invoice and add that as a job tag. Would be very useful when the invoice is on-chargeable to a project, especially when there are multiple projects/jobs on the go. E.g. building industry type jobs.

  6. When you try to add a new bank account to a contact, Xero only accepts numbers and hyphens in the field. Spaces are not accepted.

    All invoices issued by Xero have the issuer's bank account on the invoice formatted with separating spaces between the number blocks.

    So when entering a new contact, I can't just copy-paste the bank account number from the invoice that was created by Xero because the format of such number doesn't comply with the formatting in Xero contact section. Every time it has to be manually edited by all the thousands of Xero users.

  7. Restore the ability to see the total number of days an invoice is overdue from the client contact page for credit control. It used to say 125 days overdue in red - that has gone so it is now not as easy to decide how firm to be when emailing a client to chase a late invoice. Those days overdue on an email heading get attention fast.

  8. Please put the customer's payments on the activity page so it is easier to see what payments went to which invoices. Seeing that an invoice is paid isn't enough information if the customer has questions. It would be nice to see WHICH payment is applied to an invoice.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you sharing how useful it would be to see the details of the payments on the Contact activity page.

    The product team have reviewed this and it's something they would like to explore, though it isn't currently on the roadmap. This idea remains open for votes and comments, so please continue sharing your experiences here as your input helps us understand how this feature could support your workflows.


  9. As a charity we would really like the ability to be able to have Gift Aid and reporting on Xero, otherwise we would have to get a 3rd party piece of software to run Gift Aid.
    It would be so great to be able to mark on a customers record that they allow us to claim gift aid on the monies they pay to us and then in turn for us to be able to run a report to submit to HMRC of how much Gift Aid we are able to claim from customers in others words extra income from…

    Hi everyone, we know this remains a highly important request, and we appreciate the volume of detail you’ve shared around billing, delivery and contact management workflows in this idea.

    As shared in our last update - our team has been progressing the next phase of work needed to bring this more meaningfully into invoicing.

    We know many of you are looking for clearer timing, and while I’m not able to confirm a release date at this stage, I do want to reassure you this remains an active area of work for our product teams.

    We’ll continue to return here with further updates as we move through the next stages. Thanks again for your patience and for continuing to share the workflows that make this so important.

  13. Can we have a setting to enable the status section of the Xero destination tab to enable the user to select the status for all documents to be either - draft, awaiting approval or awaiting payment. this save time in having to select this each time a document is uploaded.

  14. We publish a large quantity of bills from Hubdoc to Xero. To implement a purchase order system we will need to be able to link these bills from Hubdoc to Purchase orders created in Xero. Otherwise Hubdoc is not really of use to us and will make the work load more.

  15. Force Hubdoc to move documents into review. Often there is a document that has failed, and despite the price, supplier, date, etc, all being clearly visible in the document, it still fails. After filling in all the details I would like a way to 'force' it into review so I can leave it ready in the list to look at. Either this or give a valid reason why it has failed. Often almost identical documents fail or go into review for no reason

  16. Hubdoc tag organization
    It would be extremely useful to be able to group or nest tags within Hubdoc. When there are 20+ tags in use, managing the list of tags becomes unwieldy. The ability to organize the tags within groups would allow more streamlined document management. This is especially important for clients that have been using Hubdoc for several years and have organized thousands of documents using Hubdoc tags, but for whom the majority of documents are being stored for archival reasons.   18. Naturally, when emailing in invoices and receipts, we end up with extraneous items in the Docs Pane on the left hand side. To delete these, we currently only have a small 'delete' button in the far top right corner, followed by a confirmation message in the centre of the screen.

    It'd be great if the UI was updated to have either:
    - a delete button closer to the Docs Pane on the left hand side
    - some right click functionality, to allow us to delete documents
    - some keyboard shortcuts to allow us to process these items much quicker

  20. When setting up a contact, it would be useful to be able to add a new tracking category directly in the contacts screen. If I forget to add a new tracking category to my existing list first and go to add a new contact then the tracking category isn't there. I then need to change menus in order to set up the tracking category and then go back and edit my contact to include it. I think it would be a good feature.
