  2. It would be great to have an option to run a sales report by item which includes draft invoices, delivery dockets, and purchase orders as well.

    For example, I tried to run a sales report on qty of each product sold for the financial year to date and realised this information was inaccurate as we had sold a significant qty as draft invoices (using draft invoicing in lieu of delivery docket functionality), these products were not included in the sales report.

  3. Ability to add project financials rerporting into an advisor template report

    Being able to build a management report template that includes project financials seems like a no-brainer. but you can't do it at template level. You have to start with the existing template for a managmeent report and build a report from scratch for each client.
    You can't even take an existing template and add in a project report.

  6. I am a sole trader. I started using Xero to see how it helped with my taxes. The road has been... rocky. Largely because Xero largely ignores soletraders and their specific needs.

    For instance, Xero has no IR3 reports (NZ IRD) set up that we can use.

    And we can't have depreciation amounts at the same time as accounts in a report.

    We also can't limit which accounts appear in a report.

    For me, as a sole trader, I have wound up with personal and business expenses and income mixed in my bank accounts. I have also created personal accounts…

    Hi community, thank you for engaging with us about your needs in a report to view where attachments have not been uploaded to a transaction.

    We get how this is a need for some businesses to validify expenses and process payments.

    Right now, this isn't in the teams roadmap, however we'd like to keep tracking the interest around this and will share if it is picked up in any future planning with you all here.

  8. Downloadable iXBRL formatted financial statements.
    It is required in South Africa for business with more than R 5mil (AUS$ 413k)

  9. Please create all excel exports from Xero in the currrent .xlsx format. Most still produce an old xls.file format (for instance Sales Tax Report) and need to be resaved to bring up to date.

  10. Ability to insert forecasted figures into Xero and run a forecast report alongside the budget report. We get to half year and assess how on track we are with budget and more often than not it makes sense to adjust the forecast numbers for the remainder of the period but not lose sight of what the budget was in the first place.
    If we're able to run a report with actuals for YTD and forecast for the remainder of the period it would be hugely helpful

  11. When a revalued asset is created (e.g. roads in a local government authority), it is essential that a revalued accumulated depreciation is also able to be added at the same time. This is a basic accounting requirement for councils when they revalue their various infrastructure assets.

  12. Need the report linked from dashboard's Total Cash In and Out to MATCH to the data shown on a report.

    Right now it opens up a Bank Summary report which includes transfers, but even after removing transfers from the equation, the numbers still do not match up on the cash flow widget. I can't verify the cash flow widget's numbers.

  15. I have a client with three bank accounts. Currently it generates me an overall Profit and Loss Statement. if I want to get a Profit and Loss Statement for a single bank account I have to download to excel to be able to process this. It would be great if the Xero system would allow this option. Thank you very much.

  16. We used to have the option to add/remove highlighting in a text box directly from the main page of draft reports, however this feature was removed and now we can only Bold/Italics/Underline/Bullet point, but no highlight.

    It would be great if we could add this function back in, so we didn't have to go to 'Edit Layout' to change add/remove highlighting anymore.

  17. Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring. We need a manual override where we can switch on the unfiled amounts, so that…

  18. Attach Notes to the month column.
    I produce monthly P&L custom reports and add explanatory notes for large variations etc., when I add a new month column, the notes are stuck to the column number rather than the month, eg. I add January, but the variation notes I entered for December are now on the January column and I have to unattach them then reattach them to the correct column.

  19. At the moment Xero allows you to change a CIS invoice etc that effects the CIS return that you have already submitted. It doesn't tell you that it would need to be resubmitted or that your action will effect your CIS report. Would it be possible for Xero to alert you that your action will effect the CIS report already submitted and advise you to resubmit it.

  20. When running the GST Transactions Report, each and every line from each invoice is reported separately, creating a ridiculously large report.
    Perhaps there could be one single line per invoice, reporting the total GST for that invoice? Like it used to be?
