Navigation - Restore ability to favourite "report codes" in the reporting menu
One of the key steps in preparing client financials is to ensure accounts, especially newly added ones, are assigned to the correct report code. I had the favourited on every client in the old navigation for quick access as it's something I need almost every time. It'd like that back.

Tracking Report (new) - Add a summary option
New Tracking Report has no summary option - the existing summary option will be retired in November meaning more work will be involved in manually working out the summary balance for each tracked item. Please give a summary option similar to "old" report that is being retired.

have multiple VAT accounts and remove from default UK vat return
I have multiple clients who are registered in different countries for VAT, and I would like to suggest that there is a way to have multiple VAT controls accounts for where a specific new tax rate is created (for example 19% being for Germany VAT and 23% for Ireland). But also, if there is a way to automatically exclude these from the UK VAT return report

Profit and loss report to include GST option
Can you raise an enhancement request for the P&L report to give 2 options- Includes GST and Excludes GST to give an option to the user(similar to the current option of Cash or Accrual)?
If a user selects "Includes GST ", a new line item gets added showing the GST account, else default option is "Excludes GST " meaning no change to the current report.5 votesHi 👋 your idea is being looked into by our Community team. MTD IT adjustment to calendar quarters election
According to HMRC there can be an adjustment to the first MTD IT return, so that the submissions are based on calendar quarters, rather than the existing standard ones. This would help align the submissions to VAT periods and documents received/bookkeeping done. So for example, the first period would be 1st April to 30th June, instead of 6th April to 5th July 2026. I understand this may only affect businesses with a year end of 31st March.
Currently, Xero doesn't support this (confirmed 09.02.26).

CIS - CIS Materials Income account
When setting up Xero for a registered Subcontractor it would be really useful if Xero automatically created a revenue code for CIS Materials Income, like it does for CIS Labour Income.
When setting up a registered Contractor, Xero automatically creates CIS Labour expense and CIS Materials Purchased. But for Subcontractors to invoice CIS Materials Income they have to create their own code. But this is not mentioned in the support articles.

Manual Journals - Ability to archive repeating journal
Archiving repeating journals
We have had a number of repeating journals over the years. We have gotten to the point where when we want to update these journals, we have to trawl through these. It would be nice to archive the ones we don't need any more so we can just see the ones we need.6 votesHi team, appreciate raising this idea with us. As noted by others right now it is possible to delete a repeating journal.
If you need to repeat the journal again in the future you could turn one of the previously posted journals into a Repeat journal to start this up again.
We don't have any plans for adding an archive option in the short term but will continue to watch the interest for this here.

Reporting - Reconcile period report
Provide a report which shows all bank accounts listed alongside the latest reconciled month for each bank account to provide a quick overview of which bank accounts have not been reconciled.

Manually edit sales tax amounts in US Corp.
I have a US corporation in Xero which primarily does business in Canada and collects/remits Canadian sales tax. The rules for a US company are not robust enough to account for Canadian sales tax.
It's common for expenses in Canada to have some combination of taxable/nontaxable amounts. In a Canadian corporation I can manually adjust the tax amount to easily manage these situations, but I can't in a US corporation. Sales Tax Report (SG) - Show invoice totals rather than itemised
We would like to request that the Sales Tax report for each invoice be shown as a single total amount in one bill, without itemizing the individual items in the Sales Tax report.
This format will help us track and reconcile invoices more easily. When the Sales Tax is itemized, it becomes difficult for us to monitor and match the invoices accurately.

4 votesHi community, appreciate raising this idea in the forums here and we'll start to get an understanding of the interest around this.
As tax can differ per line of an invoice this audit report provides a detailed account of the transactions lines that make up your tax and we want to be open that we don't have plans around changing this view right now.
In the meantime, for reconciliation purposes you may find running the Receivable Invoice Summary report useful.

Show Depreciaiton in Cash P&L report
Show Depreciaiton in Cash P&L report;
A Cash Accounting P&L is NOT a Cash Flow statement. Xero is targeted towards Small Businesses who legitimately use Cash Accounting, but the P&L doesn't include Depreciation, and importing into Xero Tax also excludes it. This is fundamentally wrong.
Xero cannot do Basic Accounting. I would think you would want to fix this. But no.
Pretty poor to close this issue to comments because you don't want to do it right now. Couldn't you leave it up to garner more support? It can only be a lack of awareness that more Accountants don't…

CIS - Annual CIS statement for subcontractor
Would it be possible to create an annual CIS subcontractor statement, showing the Gross, CIS deductions and net payments for all 12 months in the tax year please?
36 votesHi team, we appreciate interest in a specific annual CIS statement. While this isn't in our immediate plans right now you can run the CIS Contractor return for a custom date range.
If you then select individual subcontractors and download this will be the annual statement.
We'll continue to track interest from community in the idea here and if there's any news will share for you all.

Account transactions report - Option to group by MONTH
Account Transactions report - add functionality to group by MONTH so that there is a visible break between the data / transactions shown between (for example) January 2026 and February 2026 (if the report is run for the period 1 January 2026 to 28 February 2026 in this example).

Budget Manager - Compare actuals for 9 months
Budget manager currently only allows you to include actuals for 3m, 6m and 12m. Most businesses do quarterly forecasts and hence also need 9m....why isn't this included as a default option ?? It should be...please !

Reporting - Add auto-focus search bar to Reporting menu dropdown
One thing I really like in the new Organisation menu is the search bar. When you click the organisation name, the cursor automatically lands in the search field, so you can start typing straight away. It makes switching between orgs quick and seamless.
It’d be great to see this same experience in the new Reporting menu. Favouriting reports is useful, but it doesn’t cover every scenario. For power users, being able to click into the Reporting menu and have the cursor automatically placed in a search field - just like in the Organisation menu - would make it much faster…

Tracking Summary Report - Allow editing of report layout (e.g. filtering by account code)
The current Tracking Summary Report is quite inflexible. I'm unable to filter by Account Code, edit the report layout, nor save as a custom report. It would be good if this report design could be refreshed to include these features, and to bring the report inline with the newer style reports.

Attachments to Transactions
It would be great when reviewing ledger (Account Transactions) Reports if there was a small paperclip or some type of icon on each line where there is a attachment attached to the transaction, whether it be a bill, invoice, a spend money or a receive money.

Fixed Assets - Ability to print reports from Fixed Assets screen
Be able to print reports from the Fixed Asset screen.
3 votesHi Leasa, if there is a Fixed Assets report that you'd commonly use you may find it useful to Favourite this report so it's readily available from the Reporting menu in the blue banner.

Report templates - Annual Financial Statements, include statutory Tax Computation Schedule
For the report templates, would it be possible to include a tax computation as part of the Annual Financial Statements? This schedule would show the income tax calculation for the year as well as the resulting tax asset or liability at year-end.

Improve data input speed for ALL of Xero, specifically with KEYBOARD input
Across all of Xero not just in Manual Journals, but suite-wide, can it be known that speed of data input is critical to productivity. Therefore can someone at Xero esculate the design choices to improve the speed of input of repetative tasks.
Navigation loops for inputing draft bills, ie loop back to the draft bills screen to enter another one by default, OR a setting in the user profile...
Manual journals for example, can we have it programmed so that I don't need to click the mouse to select the blank tax field, instead can I just TAB KEY over…
