  1. An Information message to advise implications of editing the "Account Type" when posting a bill for a Fixed Asset.
    "If an approved bill or spend money transaction is edited, and the account code is changed to one with a Fixed Asset account type - a draft asset won't be created". ie- it does not automatically update the transaction to include the item on the fixed asset schedule. Unless the item is manually added to the fixed asset register, it will not be included in subsequent depreciation runs.

    Thanks for the ongoing support in this idea, team. I want to be upfront that we don't currently have any plans for adding Discuss to reports however we'd like to keep tracking the support of this with community here, and will share if there are any changes to update you of.

  3. Supplier and customer ledger - to be able to pull a supplier/ customer ledger, instead of pulling reports per contact. This would be ideal if it can be pulled for a certain period, to see all suppliers'/ customers' opening balances, movements and closing balances per supplier/ customer, all on one document.

  5. Modify the Budget Manager so that it accepts 2 decimal places and does not round to the nearest full dollar.

    Rounding all figures means that the Net Profit amount is incorrect which means the budgets are incorrect.

  7. Enable the Payable Invoice Detail report to total the invoices for each contact. At present the report totals the GST component of each contact's invoices, which I find not at all useful. It would be possible to export the report to Excel, and calculate the totals in that format, but this would be time-consuming.

    I use the payable invoice detail report to get approvals for payment. It would be useful for the person doing the approving to see how much each contact's invoices add up to.

    Hi team, returning to the idea here I wanted to check if this is still an issue? With the Payable Invoice Details report you'll find you can 'Group by' Contact and there are options to include Balance, Gross Tax and Net columns within the report so you can get a full break down and totals for each. 

  8. With the old reports you were able to run the report and then click into one of the GL codes to look at the data. There was then a link "back to P&L / Balance sheet report" which took you back. This is missing in the new report which is very time consuming as it seems you have to start again with running and customising your report.

    Thank you for rounding back to confirm, Emily. I’ve changed the title of your idea, and we’ll keep an eye on the interest from the community here. 

    For now, you can try to use the right click to open a new tab on your browser when opening the transaction or code. We’ll come back here if there’s any news. 

  9. It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.

    This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.

    The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

    Thanks for all the valuable feedback you’ve shared through this idea. We get how adding Quantity and Unit Price columns to the Account Transactions report would help you with transaction reconciliation, and provide clearer insights, without the need of opening individual transactions.

    Being upfront this isn’t in our team’s roadmap, however the idea will remain open for voting. Your input continues to shape our understanding of what’s most important, and we’ll keep sharing your feedback with the product team as they assess and plan for the future.

  10. Domestic Reverse Charge vat has been introduced in South Africa for precious metal supplies and allied products. Please could this feature be added to the SA Xero?

    Appreciate your feedback around how more visuals in reporting would aid when presenting business information to stakeholders.

    Though not direct within the Management report - Xero Analytics provides visual tools to assess and get insight into your business with Short term cash flows and Business Snapshot.

    Alongside this, our reporting team have also started release of a graph in the 'Expenses by Contact report' - It's available if you're running a US organisation atm, and will be with other regions soon 

  12. We run a P&L Forecast report each month, with 12 monthly columns across the financial year.
    Start date = start of the financial year.
    Reporting on Month 1, this report shows Actuals for month 1 + Budgets for months 2 to 12, to give forecast total for year.
    Reporting on Month 2, this report shows Actuals for months 1 to 2 + Budgets for months 3 to 12, to give forecast total for year.
    Reporting on Month 11, this report should show Actuals for months 1 to 11 + Budget for month 12, to give forecast total for year.

  13. The Profit and loss report: Compare tracking are amazing, but still needs the following:
    1 - To be able to edit the heading/remove the dates from the heading (as this is all reading showing on the top of the report, and can be very cluttering if every heading is starting with 1 June - 7 June 2022 ....)
    2 - in the old P&L: compare reports, the columns/tracking that was not applicable "disappeared", with the new reports, I'm seeing ALL my tracking that is available, and not only the ones applicable, please do the same for the new reports

  15. I would like to be able to add any available report into a practice Report Pack. At the moment, the available reports are limited to those within the Financial Statement realm.

    I would like to produce a report pack that had all the reports i need for my annual working papers:
    - Employee wage summary
    - Bank Rec
    - Tax depreciation report
    - GST rec reports

    etc etc.

    Hi team, following on from my last update though our position remains that we don't have plans for making all reports available in report templates we wanted to share a recent change we have made.

    We have unlocked the ability to add client-specific custom reports to Adviser packs, giving you additional flexibility and more comprehensive reporting, which we know has been a key request for some in the idea here.

    As mentioned in our last post - we're very keen to continue to understand the interest in specific reports, so if not already please make sure to add your support or start an idea for a the report you'd like to see. Thanks

  16. Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts, perhaps with a tick box to show or hide the archived accounts. It makes the job of customising layouts so tedious when the old messy chart of accounts come up every time and you can’t hide the archived accounts!

  17. Would be fantastic if when a fixed asset purchase is recorded and a document is included with the transaction, this document is also recorded in the draft fixed asset window. This would help as reference when moving the asset from draft to registered.

  19. It would be good if payroll reports could be customised, i.e. after making a change to an existing report, such as Gross To Net report, the new template could be saved as a Custom Report.

    At the moment, it isn't possible to save the updated format, so I have to make the same changes to the standard report every month.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your patience & would like to thank everyone who’s shared their thoughts and supported this idea.

    Xero's payroll reports do currently offer some options to adjust columns, filters & layout. However we hear & understand the need for having additional information & more flexibility with payroll reporting, including the ability to customise & save reports for future use.

    Being open here, these improvements are not in our current pipeline. However we'll use this feedback to shape how we plan future improvements in Xero Payroll reports.

  20. Be able to run depreciation from 6th to 5th of a month for businesses that have a financial year end of 5 April.
    Whilst you can do this for a 1st year of trading, we have found that you are unable to run it for any year after and after checking with xero, you are unable to run depreciation if the fixed asset start date is not the 1st of the month.
