  1. Management Reports: I would like to add reports created outside of Xero in my published Management Report packet that I send to clients. There should be a way to upload a PDF or excel document to the Management Report Packet from outside Xero

  2. Fixed Assets - Tax Pooling Depreciation. Australia has a feature to put assets into pools and calculate depreciation. This would be very useful in NZ

  3. When a client changes their GST taxable periods (e.g. 2-monthly to 6-monthly filing) they often need to file a return for a non-standard number of months to align with their balance date (e.g. 4-month GST return). It would be nice to be able to change the GST period settings in Xero to allow for the non-standard GST return to be filed directly from Xero.

  4. Create a tax code/rate which we can apply to interest income to withhold 10% tax for foreign resident entities and this amount is automatically populated to the Activity Statement at item W3.

  5. A report to see how much each staff member is billing out per month. There are similar reports like the write on/off report but it doesn't seem entirely accurate.

    Hi Eilish, is there are particular way your staff are recording how they bill customers through your Xero organisation atm? - e.g are you using Projects, or Tracking?

    As you noted there maybe a report that we an suggest that'll fully serve your needs in this here.

  6. IDEA - CIS suffered report to calculate the CIS suffered correctly.

    ISSUE - If you apply a credit note to an invoice that has both CIS labour and CIS materials, Xero does not calculate the CIS suffered correctly. Even though the credit note is coded to the correct nominal code, Xero doesn't recognise this. This causes the CIS suffered report to reduce the deduction amount which is incorrect. This means the figure you submit to HMRC is lower than it should be. Meaning less of a refund of CIS suffered than it actually should be.

  7. As someone who is colour blind, I find the Budget Variance Arrows are similar / same colour which makes viewing budget variance at a glance a challenge.

    It would be great to have an option to have lines highlighted a colour if above/below budget instead. Even better if this colour option was customisable.

    Thanks for sharing your idea in the community here, Trevor. We don't have plans for adding Projects to other reports in Xero at present but we'll start to get a sense of the interest for this in your idea here and share if there are any changes.

  10. Analytics Plus - Predictions do not filter based on bank account selection

    When you have multiple bank accounts but only need one selected for cash flow purposes, the monthly predictions that xero has created do not filter out based on the bank account they were predicted from.

    In my example I now have petty cash predictions and interest income from a savings account showing when only the main current account is selected, this messes with the predicted end balance making the cash totally useless

  11. We have to regularly edit invoices from specifics suppliers to correct pennies in the VAT boxes to ensure these match. Using up valuable and unnecessary time.

    We use another software with another company that gets this spot on every time, but considering we pay for Xero we felt it would be helpful to get the VAT extraction down to 100% accuracy.

  14. Currently, it appears that Xero is not authorised by Portuguese tax authorities for use with a company in Portugal. As we run a business in the UK using Xero, it would make sense to also use the same accounting system in an authorised fashion in Portugal.
    Could this be done?

  19. Please put a menu item under the Accounting Menu for Journal Entry. I don't like having to run a report just to go to manual journals or to add a new journal. Just put "New Journal" under the advanced sub menu under accounting. If you are concerned about the average bookkeeper making journal entries, allow the ability for the admin to dictate which menu items are shown for different users.

  20. I would like to see on the front sheet of the VAT report a Summary break-down by VAT code showing Total, Net and VAT by each VAT category.
    Is this something you are currently working on and if so when would it be available to us.
