Hi everyone, not seeing a lot of interest in this idea overtime and with no plans in the roadmap we will update this idea to Not in pipeline.

While we appreciate why users would like a report containing all these details, this isn't something we have plans to develop.

As previously suggested it's possible to export your list of suppliers from contacts that includes email and bank details.

In relation to spend within a period, you could run the Payable Invoice Details report which can be grouped by Contact and run for a period to view the items purchased and the accounts these were coded to.

It may also be worth noting that Email can be included as a column when running the Aged Payables Detail or Summary reports.

  3. I have voted for the idea "Switch Rules - Notes to Financial Accounts" but would like to also propose an idea that may be of benefit if that one is too complex to implement.

Enable a rule that allows an account to be shown/hidden depending on the balance.

For example - if Accounts Receivable is a credit balance then it will display, if it has a negative balance it is hidden.
That means that the Accounts Receivable account could be added to two schedules in the report, but will only show in one, which should align with switch rules in…

Appreciate you thinking of other ways to solve something, Jessica. With a lot of the reporting teams concentration on elements to redevelop the most vying features from older reports in the new before their removal later this year I want to be open that we don't have this in pour plans at this stage.

We'll start to get a sense of the interest for this here, and let you know if there are any changes.

  4. why can't we set up income allocations by %, not jnl , as every time you change something , you need to redo your jnl, update work papers etc. There must times when finals have been sent out ( Urgent) and this has been over looked
This is a rather backwards step, esp when a trust could have 10 beneficiaries and need to do jnls ?!
Would also affect partnerships, they would be the easiest to fix as majority would be a 50/50

  6. With the old reports you were able to run the report and then click into one of the GL codes to look at the data. There was then a link "back to P&L / Balance sheet report" which took you back. This is missing in the new report which is very time consuming as it seems you have to start again with running and customising your report.

Thank you for rounding back to confirm, Emily. I’ve changed the title of your idea, and we’ll keep an eye on the interest from the community here.

For now, you can try to use the right click to open a new tab on your browser when opening the transaction or code. We’ll come back here if there’s any news.

  7. We run a P&L Forecast report each month, with 12 monthly columns across the financial year.
Start date = start of the financial year.
Reporting on Month 1, this report shows Actuals for month 1 + Budgets for months 2 to 12, to give forecast total for year.
Reporting on Month 2, this report shows Actuals for months 1 to 2 + Budgets for months 3 to 12, to give forecast total for year.
Reporting on Month 11, this report should show Actuals for months 1 to 11 + Budget for month 12, to give forecast total for year.

  10. According to HMRC there can be an adjustment to the first MTD IT return, so that the submissions are based on calendar quarters, rather than the existing standard ones. This would help align the submissions to VAT periods and documents received/bookkeeping done. So for example, the first period would be 1st April to 30th June, instead of 6th April to 5th July 2026. I understand this may only affect businesses with a year end of 31st March.
Currently, Xero doesn't support this (confirmed 09.02.26).
Is this needed or is there a work around?

  11. It would be useful to be able to automatically import the individual partner profits from partnership tax directly in the partnership schedule within personal tax. This would increase efficiency and reduce the likelihood of errors.

  12. Archiving repeating journals
We have had a number of repeating journals over the years. We have gotten to the point where when we want to update these journals, we have to trawl through these. It would be nice to archive the ones we don't need any more so we can just see the ones we need.

Hi team, appreciate raising this idea with us. As noted by others right now it is possible to delete a repeating journal.

If you need to repeat the journal again in the future you could turn one of the previously posted journals into a Repeat journal to start this up again.

We don't have any plans for adding an archive option in the short term but will continue to watch the interest for this here.

  13. When reviewing quarterly and annual figures from the Profit and Loss report’s account transactions, we currently have to click into each Xero Me app expense to see the description and confirm it’s coded correctly. Expenses entered via bank feeds or bills display descriptions properly in the Account Transactions report, but Xero Me submissions do not.

This inconsistency makes it difficult to quickly identify and verify transactions without drilling into each one. Competing platforms such as MYOB, QuickBooks, and HandiLedger display expense descriptions consistently, regardless of how the expense was entered.

An internal workaround suggests entering the description manually in the…

  15. A slight bug found - I just had a supplier ask why we had charged less for the last 2 months. I checked and it looks like Xero defaulted to "GST Inclusive" invoices when copying an invoice that is GST-Exclusive, even when:

    1) the previous Invoice is set to "GST Exclusive"
    2) the Financial settings, tax defaults, For sales is set to for"Based on last sale"
    3) Note - No Contact defaults for GST set.

Somehow, my $500 + GST invoices = $575 has been reduced to $500 including GST.

Previously Xero would copy over the invoice exactly, but now…

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea. We can see why this would be useful. We have reviewed this idea and can see that currently when you copy an invoice, the financial settings of the organisation take precedence over the settings from the original invoice. This idea is now in Gaining support status, which means it's open for community votes and comments while we monitor interest from users.

  16. When presenting the Profit & Loss in a different currency from the file currency the exchange rate is as the last date of the Profit & Loss Statement (P&L). While this is appropriate for the Balance Sheet it is not so for the P&L. I would like to be able to extract a P&L report knowing the figures are based on an average exchange rate for the period as opposed to a single date rate.

Appreciate you sharing your idea here, Michelle.

In the way Xero works at present the exchange rate is based on the end date of a report or the set exchange rate that was used.

It's now up to the community to get behind and support your idea here. Make sure you share this with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

  17. When we send a W9 request to a vendor via Xero the only way we have to know if they have completed the W9 request is by logging back into Xero and manually navigating to that vendor to check in on it.

It would be great if admins/bookkeepers could receive a notification when the vendor completes the W9 request.

Having that email notification of a vendor completing a w9 request would also enable us to trigger other automations.

  18. It's currently not possible to export the Income Tax Self Assessment figures for the MTD for Income Tax quarterly submissions as a PDF to include them in a documents pack for client's approval via e-signature in Xero.

This would be helpful from April 2026, so accountants can gain client's approval prior to submission with HMRC.

  19. It would be good if on the taxable payments annual report, when it shows that the ABN has been 'provided' that this is also linked whether the ABN status is GST registered or not. This would be an easy checking tool that the GST charges has been properly done so and would make the person lodging the form to easily identify whether or not GST should be charged or not. 20. When reviewing reports (e.g., Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet), we often need to view monthly data from the start of the fiscal year up to the current month. Right now, we have to manually select the first and last day of each month every time, which is time-consuming and repetitive. This makes simple tasks like flicking through months to verify data more cumbersome than necessary.

    1. Add “Previous Month” / “Next Month” buttons These buttons would auto-update the report’s date range to the previous or next full month.

Example: From May 1 – May 31, clicking "Next" moves the report to…

We don't have any plans for adding more common date options in reports atm, but we'll begin to get a feel of the interest in this from your idea.
