Manual Journals - Assign Contact name to journal
The ability to assign contact in manual journals.
Purpose: To enable to track journal entries with contact name
Hi team, we're pleased to share that this work is now underway.
Our intention is to allow you to associate a contact per line in a manual journal.
We appreciate there is a lot of interest in progress for this feature and I'll be back to share as soon as we have more news to update you on, here.

Super important when doing a vendor reconciliation as there are instances in which we are unable to book an invoice so we've done a accrual for it instead.

Not just:
"Essential feature for accountants who work with non-profits and want to be able to track grant and fund balances."
but essential in any project based situation

We need to have a feature where one can do journals between contacts (debtors and debtors, creditors and creditors and between debtors and creditors) and also between said contacts and the general ledger as sometimes temporary entries are needed that will be reversed a while later. This can be assigned to a higher access level users and not all users. Thanks

I've been grouping transactions by Contact Name for the last FYs for robust Financial Analyses and all of the transactions that are made via manual journals do not have any contact attached to them. This would be a great feature to have!
