  1. I would like to be able to add any available report into a practice Report Pack. At the moment, the available reports are limited to those within the Financial Statement realm.

    I would like to produce a report pack that had all the reports i need for my annual working papers:
    - Employee wage summary
    - Bank Rec
    - Tax depreciation report
    - GST rec reports

    etc etc.

    Hi team, following on from my last update though our position remains that we don't have plans for making all reports available in report templates we wanted to share a recent change we have made.

    We have unlocked the ability to add client-specific custom reports to Adviser packs, giving you additional flexibility and more comprehensive reporting, which we know has been a key request for some in the idea here.

    As mentioned in our last post - we're very keen to continue to understand the interest in specific reports, so if not already please make sure to add your support or start an idea for a the report you'd like to see. Thanks

  2. Management Report: Be able to save individual reports in the management report as custom reports. Currently only the pack can be saved as a custom report. If I have edited the profit and loss I cannot save this specific report to be used in other management packs.

  3. Have the ability to create more than one report style (colour and logo) so when you export to a 'Styled PDF' there are choices beyond 'no styling' and your default.

    Hi team, we appreciate interest in being able to create more customised layouts when it comes to the styling of the PDF's of your reports.

    Being upfront this isn't a feature we have immediate plans around but we'd like to keep tracking the interest from community around, through this idea.

  4. We would like to be able to capture non-financial (eg head count) and statistical numbers (eg Order Book) in Xero and add it into Xero reports alongside the existing financial information for management reporting
    Currently it seems that accounts that are added automatically appear in the Chart Of Accounts.
    Could another Account Type be created that allows memo accounts to be created outside the CoA?

  5. Currently Xero pulls data from the connected ledger into Xero tax – it’s great! But its pulls the account name, when we’re often only changing the reporting name so as not to mess with a clients system.
    Would be beneficial if Xero tax pulled the reporting name rather than the account name through for linked accounts. Would make things more consistent between financials & tax return.

  6. Is it possible to run reports and have the notes section as an additional column option? As currently have to click into each individual invoices to see the note

  7. Would like to be able to find and recode transactions in bulk or have a report somehwere, where we can search the "include Adjustment to Tax" amount on any transactions. There is currently no way to find transactions that have this and to correct we have to find the batch payment, undo, edit the invoice, approve and re-batch. Not ideal.

    See where you're coming from and thanks for the confirmation, Malcolm (I've just slightly adjusted the title here 🙂)

    This isn't something we have planned at present but will get a sense of the appetite here and let you know if there's any change. 

  9. In the Basic Account Transactions Report (Common Format Bank Account Transactions) Can you please add the Reconciliation Status for each Bank Transaction. Both as a field and a filter.

    Hi Komal, just to make sur we understand the idea here properly. When you say you'd like a report of all direct debits, is this where you've made a direct debit payment for bills? Or where you have customers that may be on direct debit payments with your business? 

  11. When running the Transactions by box number tab of the GST F5 Return, the Invoice Number will not be shown if we have already entered a reference on the invoice.

    If there is no reference entered, Xero will then show the Invoice Number under the 'Reference' column instead. Screenshot attached.

    This makes it difficult to do checking as most users do use the reference when creating invoice but showing the reference usually does not have much significance to the accountant/bookkeeper who is doing the checks for GST submission.

    We do hope that the Invoice Number column can also be shown…

  14. A report showing all Bank Statement lines for (Filtered) bank accounts and date ranges.
    This report could be used to track transfers that go from Bank Account A to B to C.
    Should include User created statement lines and reconciliation status. Additional details such as matched transactions would also be useful.

  15. Contacts report that shows contact details (name address etc) and Activity in last Financial Year.
    This would assist in cleanups of multiple contacts / old contacts etc.

  16. Ability to change Fonts in reports. Each firm is unique, and have ways to express themselves. We have always used a particular font for all our correspondance.
    The XERO reports look the same for every firm. Adding the options for fonts, size, colour will allow firms to be slightly different.

  17. Knowing that FX disclosures were expanded to several reports. However, it is awkward when the Adviser report comprises of Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statements of Cash Flows and Notes to the Financial Statements, only the first two reports are able to be presented in other currency (Eg. SOFP & SOCI presented in USD but SOCE, SOCF and Notes in MYR). Can Xero enable the function of FX in every page of the adviser's report? Thank you.

  18. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.

  19. As payments are applied to invoices or bills, you can't see the description detail on a cash basis report (no problem with an accrual detailed general ledger though).

    The old general ledger (export function) enabled you to see the description on both accrual & cash.

    Seems illogical?!

  20. As an accountant I use a trial balance for every file I open.
    Can the trial balance be set as a standard report/ automatically added to favourites in the accounting option or each user be able to chose a standard group of favourite reports for all clients - Pain having to go into each new file i access and add to my favourites.
