SB Pool Detail Report - Ability to move & delete columns
Currently the SB Pool Detail report contains a large number of columns and the report appears cramped and difficult to read due to the smaller font size.
It would be helpful to have the ability to change the column order and remove excess or un-needed columns, as is possible for the other tax and accounting depreciation schedules.

Reporting - Add NDIS Funding Period Tracking in Xero
With the rollout of the NDIA’s new PACE system, NDIS participant plans now include funding periods (e.g. monthly or quarterly). Providers and plan managers must track and claim within these timeframes, but Xero currently doesn’t support this.
Adding a Funding Period Tracking feature would let users:
Set funding period start/end dates per participant or support category
Track and report spend per period
Receive alerts for overspend or expiring funds
Validate invoices against active funding periods
This would help thousands of NDIS providers maintain compliance, reduce manual tracking, and strengthen Xero’s value in the disability sector.

Reporting - Allow Standard users to publish reports
Provide an option to allow standard users to publish bank reconciliation reports, but not all reports.
As a Xero Advisor, I don't always perform all of the accounting functions for my clients. For some clients we mutually prefer to have them perform the bank reconciliation process each month. This is a standard internal control that isn't always outsourced. Requiring publishing bank reconciliation reports at the Advisor level user seems overkill and limits how advisors can manage levels of service assumed by the advisor and their clients.

Reporting - Calculate % from invoices for payment report to Contractors
We pay contractors based on sales reports for each contractor. Getting this report is easy. In fact, Xero does that well. However, to get that same report and deduct a % value or any other value to work out what the contractor payment will be. Then being able to save & print & Email that report. Currently, we export to Excel, and whilst that works great, it is fiddly and time consuming. Probably not for everyone, but handy for some.
2 votesTHi Steven 👋, thanks for raising this idea. We appreciate its not straightforward calculating the percentage of invoices paid to contractors, which we know creates extra manual work. Although this is not on our current roadmap, we will monitor this idea for votes and other comments. However, for now, a workaround would continue to be to export the report and use a spreadsheet application to calculate the percentages. 📈

Reports - Add quantity column to reports
It isn't possible to add a quantity column to a report, nor is it possible to pull through Qty data entered in Xero or create a cell the Qty can be manually typed into.
You can add a note column but this would be to link to a section of the report pack, not a quantity loaded into Xero or a box we could manually type the quantity into. Further the notes section functionality is unable to be renamed and can only be linked to other reports in the report pack. It does not work to bring through Qty data.

257 votesHi everyone, thanks for your engagement and support for adding a quantity column to reports in Xero. We understand there are differing reasons around wanting to add quantity to a report, like being able to track fuel for tax credits, livestock numbers, or hours worked for carbon reporting.
There's a specific idea for Livestock reporting that we'd recommend anyone interested in this joins.
To highlight, quantity can be added within the following reports within Xero right now;
- Inventory Item Details - will allow you to view quantity on hand of tracked inventory items
- Inventory Item summary - lets you view quantities purchased and sold for all items, as well as opening closing and adjusted quantities for tracked items
- Sales by Item report - will show you quantities sold for inventory items
- Payable Invoice Details report - will give you quantities purchased for all line items
- Receivable Invoice Details report -…

Reporting - Display Custom Report Names in Report Packs
When I create a new Report Pack, I can name it. When I add a custom report, that report shows as the Xero Standard Report Name, not as my Custom Report Name. Please can the Custom Report Name be shown, rather than the Xero Standard Report Name. If I add two different Custom Reports (both based on the Xero Standard Report), I don't know which is which.

We’ll see how many others in the community would find it helpful as well.

Profit & Loss - customise comparison dates
Customise comparison dates
When running a P&L or any other report with comparison data, it would be handy to be able to customise the date range of the comparison data. Some reports have an option of custom date range, but it's greyed out.
3 votesWe understand that customising comparison dates in the Profit & Loss report would give you more control over how you view and analyse business performance, especially when you're working with non-standard reporting periods.
Currently in Xero, if you run the P&L for a custom date range (e.g. 1 Jan 2025 to 27 Jan 2025), you can compare that period with the previous:
- Year – shows 1 Jan 2024 to 27 Jan 2024
- Quarter – shows 1 Oct 2024 to 27 Oct 2024
- Custom – automatically sets the comparison period to the same length (in this case, 27 days) immediately before your selected range, so it would show 5 Dec 2024 to 31 Dec 2024

Reporting - Filter the Profit and Loss by Contact
When exporting the profit and loss transactions it would be amazing for one of the columns to show the Contact in isolation rather than merging the contact and description into one field. This would allow much easier spreadsheet analysis by contact.
66 votesHi everyone, thanks for being a part of the conversation on filtering Profit and Loss reports by contact. We understand how this could make digging into profitability a bit easier.
There is currently the Income & Expenses by Contact report that’ll show where you’ve incurred expenses or received income or funds for each contact. You could also Group or Filter this report by contact with the ability to drill down to the transactions related to each amount.
Alternatively, some people in the discussion have also kindly shared their method which may help others.
Our product team has reviewed this idea, and while this may be a development we consider in the longer term it isn’t roadmapped at this stage. We’ll continue to keep an ear on the ground here and share if there are any updates.

Reporting | Add multiple FY'S as common date selections
Report dates
On financial reports. Instead of last financial year of this financial year wouldn’t it be better to have the years as the selection ie 2024/25 2023/24 2022/23. it will be much quicker to select the year especially is going back further than the current year.3 votesThanks for sharing here, Kerri. Understand why you'd find this helpful and we'll start to get a sense from others that'd like to see this here, too.
I know it's a little different to what you're directly asking here, but perhaps comparison columns and saving as custom could help where you can run the report for multiple date ranges at once and view the comparison across each?

Reporting - Option to remove the Date from the Footer of all reports
The print date that now appears at the bottom of reports is useful for some reports and circumstances, and I understand this date is now turned off for Published Reports.
However we do not 'publish' our financial statements - we send our financial statements to clients in a practical and informative pack instead. This is a more efficient, professional and streamlined approach for us.
Showing the print date on these financial statements is of concern, due to various issues including the lag time between preparing and approving the report. It is also not ideal when preparing the directors resolution and…

Reports - Shortcuts for navigating Financial Statement Reports
Shortcuts for Financial Statement Reports
It would be extremely helpful to have shortcuts to navigate financial statements.
E.g. 1 would go to the first page of the report, 2 would go to profit and loss, 3 to balance sheet etc. this would assist with quickly switching between different reports in the financial statements.5 votesHi Emile, appreciate you sharing this suggestion for specific shortcuts that would improve efficiency when working in reports. This idea is open for fellow community members to support through voting and comments.
We also have an existing idea for more shortcuts in Xero - we'd encourage you to also add your vote to that broader idea here: Navigation - More keyboard shortcuts in Xero.
Voting on both helps us in two ways: it shows our Reporting team the specific need you have, and it also contributes to the overall demand for more keyboard efficiency across all of Xero.
Thanks again for your valuable contribution to the community!

Account transactions report - Comparatives
Essential for cash flow and projections, an annual report divided by month that includes source and base currencies.
The "Account Transactions" report currently enables us to overview all accounts (Balance Sheet and P&L) in both currencies (source and base) but lacks a feature to display 12 months alongside each other.
5 votesWe're grateful for your engagement and letting us know how adding comparative options in the Account Transactions report could benefit you.
This isn't something we have direct plans of right now, however we'll continue to gather community interest in this and share if there are any updates.
In terms of cashflow projections, if not already you may want to check out Short term cashflows with Xero Analytics.

Short term cash flow include repeat quarterly transaction
Would love that within money out/in and repeating the transaction that 'quarterly option' was included.
example: BAS, Super & PAYGIt would be great if this was an option for those using the short-term cash flow regularly.

Reporting - Allow monthly figures to be time-adjusted based on reporting period in custom reports ratios
In my custom income statement, I'd like to create a calculation for a debt service coverage ratio. However, I don't there's a way to set a P&I payment as "per month" in the custom features. Is there a feature to set a formula that adjusts my debt service based on the number of months the income statement covers? (E.g. monthly P&I is $5,000 per month. So a 6-month year-to-date statement would adjust P&I to be $30,000 on my printed report).

Reports/Tracking - Add filter to P&L Comparison to hide zero balance tracking columns (projects)
When comparing the Profit & Loss by projects, it would be very helpful to have an option such as “Hide zero balance projects” after selecting all projects. Currently, when we select all projects (we have more than 100), the report also shows those with zero balances (no transactions). This makes the report slower to display and download, and we have to manually remove those projects afterwards. Would it be possible to add such a feature to improve efficiency and reporting usability?

Our internal review is now complete, and this feature proposal is live for community engagement!

Account Transactions Report - Show all categories when grouped by tracking
Reports eg Transaction reports, should be able to be summarised by tracking category. Currently if a bank transaction is spread across a number of tracking categories, the transaction report will report this as 'multiple categories'. This is very unhelpful.
2 votesAppreciate what you're asking here, Simon. However when grouped or summarised by tracking and a bank transaction has multiple lines that are coded to different categories its not possible to show these all on the report.
On the flip side of this, if you run the report on a Grouped by basis you'll be able to see the transactions related to the multiple categories and can drill into the transaction to view the detail.
Alternatively, adding a Related account column to the report you'll be able to see the account the transaction is coded to. Then, running the report for the related accounts e.g Sales would give you the line by line breakdown so you can view each tracking option the transaction has been allocated to.

Business snapshot - Link to default custom Profit & Loss Report
Business snapshot - link to default custom Profit & Loss Report
We use a custom Profit & Loss Report which is default.
Unfortunately the Business snapshot links to the standard xero Profit & Loss Report not the custom default Profit & Loss report.
Can the Business snapshot be changed to link to the custom default reports?5 votes -
Reports - Option to specify which months to include when generating YTD monthly reports
Ability to run YTD reports where there is monthly columns totalling to the YTD column which automatically adds additional months as needed.
2 votesHi Bethany, thanks for sharing this suggestion for improving our reports.
We've reviewed your idea for an option to have Year-to-Date reports automatically generate columns for each month, which then total to the YTD figure. We can see how this dynamic layout would make monthly analysis much clearer and save time on report setup.
Your suggestion is now ready to gain support from other community members. Along with votes, others can now comment to share how a report that automatically adds monthly columns as the year progresses would improve their own financial analysis.

Reports - Add original currency in the Aged Payables and Summary Payables reports
Kindly would like to suggest adding Original Currency in the Aged Payables and Aged Payable Summary. Would make our reporting preparation easier. Thank you!
97 votesThanks for sharing and engaging with product ideas here. We appreciate the desire to run more reports in Xero in a different currency.
To confirm what is currently available in Xero for multi currency reporting - Right now the aged reports will run in the organisation's base currency. However, for any invoice or bill that has been created in a foreign currency you'll see an icon next to that line in your report which provides notation of the exchange rate details, and these will all be listed at the bottom of the report.
With the Payable and Receivable summary and detail reports you can add an 'Original currency' column along with other foreign exchange details.
It's also possible to add a filter to these reports to only show invoices of a particular status for example Awaiting payment.
I know this doesn't accomplish all that's being asked in this idea and…

Management Reports - Allow flexible average comparison periods
Currently, when generating management reports in Xero, users have the ability to compare data across prior months and multiple periods. Some reports, like the Cash Summary, also include an “Average” option, which is a helpful feature for identifying trends.
It would be highly beneficial to extend this “Average” functionality to all relevant reports—particularly the Profit & Loss report—to provide more consistent and insightful analysis.
Additionally, the current average is calculated based on the financial year to date. This approach becomes less useful at the start of a new financial year when only limited data is available. To improve this, it…
