Supplier details report to include e-mail addresses, bank details, terms, e-mail addresses
Additional report: Supplier report to include e-mail addresses, supplier address, bank details, terms,
7 votesHi everyone, not seeing a lot of interest in this idea overtime and with no plans in the roadmap we will update this idea to Not in pipeline.
While we appreciate why users would like a report containing all these details, this isn't something we have plans to develop.
As previously suggested it's possible to export your list of suppliers from contacts that includes email and bank details.
In relation to spend within a period, you could run the Payable Invoice Details report which can be grouped by Contact and run for a period to view the items purchased and the accounts these were coded to.
It may also be worth noting that Email can be included as a column when running the Aged Payables Detail or Summary reports.

Reporting - Opening and Closing balances and movement for multiple contacts
Supplier and customer ledger - to be able to pull a supplier/ customer ledger, instead of pulling reports per contact. This would be ideal if it can be pulled for a certain period, to see all suppliers'/ customers' opening balances, movements and closing balances per supplier/ customer, all on one document.

Fixed Assets - Run depreciation from 6th to 5th of a month
Be able to run depreciation from 6th to 5th of a month for businesses that have a financial year end of 5 April.
Whilst you can do this for a 1st year of trading, we have found that you are unable to run it for any year after and after checking with xero, you are unable to run depreciation if the fixed asset start date is not the 1st of the month.15 votes -
Sales report - Monthly showing net amounts
We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value. The latter is not always easy as some of our goods…

Statement of cashflow - Multi currency
Be able to produce a cash flow report by currency. Also be helpful to do a cash P&L the same way. Used for forecasting expenses by currency
9 votesHi Dan, you can already run the new Profit & Loss in a foreign currency your org is using, as well as run on a cash basis. If you often find yourself wanting to run reports on a cash basis - we recently released Reporting preferences where you could set this as a default. 🙂
We'll keep tracking the interest around viewing the Statement of cashflow in a foreign currency and let you know if there's any plans made for this, here.

New Account Summary Report - Search by Account Code
The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.

Management reports - Ability to include VAT return reports
The new custom report pack looks great but it would be good to be able to export the VAT return within the same pack. Can the VAT reports be added to this functionality? I think it would be helpful for many people.
I regularly look at a profit and loss, balance sheet, aged receivables detail, aged payables detail and the VAT return reports monthly for all clients and it would be great to export these together, and would save a lot of time.
12 votesThanks for sharing this idea — we can see how useful it would be to include VAT return reports within Management Reports/custom report packs so they can be exported together with other reporting.
We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can better understand how much demand there is for this capability. That will help us give the Reporting team clearer visibility of customer interest, especially as VAT returns are built on a different platform.
If this is something you’d like to see, please continue to vote and add any extra detail about your use case — that context helps our teams assess the need and impact.

Reports - Ability to add page breaks in Text Blocks
When importing a text block report from Figured into Xero annual accounts template, we have no control over the page breaks. This often results in undesirable page breaks. An ability to add page breaks into a text block would fix this.

Tax - Ability to calculate and report tax for multiple jurisdictions
GST - where an entity trades in different tax jurisdictions, allow the file to create the ability to manage GST for different countries (different GST codes) in separate GST accounts and not all consolidated into one GST account.
eg if an entity trades in Australia and New Zealand, you can have an Australian GST account and a NZ GST account to make reconciliation and completion of BAS easier.19 votes -
Reporting - Ability to show/hide accounts based on balance
I have voted for the idea "Switch Rules - Notes to Financial Accounts" but would like to also propose an idea that may be of benefit if that one is too complex to implement.
Enable a rule that allows an account to be shown/hidden depending on the balance.
For example - if Accounts Receivable is a credit balance then it will display, if it has a negative balance it is hidden.
That means that the Accounts Receivable account could be added to two schedules in the report, but will only show in one, which should align with switch rules in…6 votesAppreciate you thinking of other ways to solve something, Jessica. With a lot of the reporting teams concentration on elements to redevelop the most vying features from older reports in the new before their removal later this year I want to be open that we don't have this in pour plans at this stage.
We'll start to get a sense of the interest for this here, and let you know if there are any changes.

GST - Enable AIM tax method
Enable AIM tax method for NZ
This is needed for small businesses in NZ to do their own AIM lodgement automatically via Xero without using an accountant. In the GST return, there are three options currently; Standard, Estimate, and Ratio but not AIM. The whole purpose of AIM is to smooth cashflow and make it simpler for small businesses to file one return for both GST and Income Tax at the same time, but it appears this option is not available to us! Please vote for this to be included ASAP as an option.12 votes
