  1. Getting pretty sick of this requirement simply being fobbed of as "Not currently on our radar".
    Perhaps explain to us why you don't think it is important, or why you cannot fix it.

    At the very least, you should leave the idea open for comment so that actual Accountants can keep telling you this is a very basic and fundamental thing for small businesses.

  2. In Cash Flow Manager (Reporting / Cash Flow Manager), once a Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount has been entered, you cannot edit the date that it is received/paid in the cash flow.

    You can edit the start- and end-date for recurrence, but the date it is received/paid is locked to the date set when you first added the Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount.

    Please allow the date that the amount is received/paid to be edited.

  3. A specific App or button for trades and construction businesses to use to produce the reports needed by the QBCC annually to be compliant and maintain their trade licenses. Annual compliance and reporting to QBCC for construction businesses is a complex procedure, but I am sure everything they ask us to produce is available in Xero. If Xero could create an easy method to provide this information at the click of a button, it would save a lot of time and money at the accountant's office.   4. We are experiencing difficulties with the current limitation in the “Set Up Rules” section for the Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR).

    At present, the “Add Rule” area only allows up to 12 columns, which is not sufficient for businesses like ours that manage a large number of contractor accounts across different jobs. We currently have around 42 contractor accounts, and this number is expected to continue growing.

    Many of our suppliers provide both materials and labour services depending on the job, which means we need to account for them differently under the TPAR rules. Due to the current restriction, we…

  5. Create an option to do a bulk disposal of assets. Have several old assets which are no longer needed and to be disposed at year end. Would save having to dispose of each asset individually.

  6. Restore function where the previously viewed transaction is highlighted in a darker or different colour so you know where you are on a list of transactions. It used to be there but it has now gone :(

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Diana. We understand that having a way to keep track of reviewed transactions would help when working through large reports.

    The suggestion is to add a visual indicator for previously viewed items, making it easier to remember where you left off and avoid reopening the same transactions.

    For now, opening transactions in separate browser tabs can help keep your place while reviewing multiple items. We’ll continue tracking this idea here so the community can share feedback and use cases.

  8. The signed declaration on activity statements does not currently display the relevant reporting period. This information is important to clearly identify the period the declaration relates to.

    We request an enhancement to the signed declaration section to include the applicable reporting period to ensure clarity and accuracy and even compliant.

  9. For bank accounts - it would be good to have the contact and description concatenated as for other accounts. This way account lines could easily be matched.

  10. Can the list of favourite reports be set to default to always include the Trial balance (at least with Advisor rights). As an accountant I always run a Trial balance report and have to manually set this as a favourite on every client I log into. I also regularly use the accountant transaction report and Aged payables and receivables which are already default favourites.

  11. The ability to create multiple custom budget reports which show budgets and transactions which can easily be emailed out to colleagues at the same time. This is useful if a Xero user has multiple budget holders to report to. This should be able to be emailed as both PDF and Excel.

  12. I have been a user of Xero for almost 9 years. I find that xero is very intuitive and easy to use. However, I was surprised it was not as popular in EU / Spain despite this. At the moment, I'm doing a small project for a friend to produce reports for her and I opted to use Xero for the easy recording and tracking of transactions. However, I do find that the only reason we may not fully use this long term is because of the lack in its inclusivity of taxation settings for the EU / Spain market.…

  13. There are two concerns regarding XERO Blue Report extraction. One is to apply a page break after each ledger when extracting general ledger details while selecting all ledgers. The other is to extract the transaction list by edit period. This will be helpful in identifying differences between the same report taken for two different periods.

    Hi Arunadevi, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that having cleaner report layouts can make it easier to review and export General Ledger reports.

    The suggestion is to add page breaks after each account when exporting the General Ledger report, so each section is easier to review and present.

    For now, you can export the report to a spreadsheet and adjust the formatting before sharing. We'll continue to track interest and engagement here.

    A separate suggestion was also mentioned around exporting transactions based on edit period. To help each idea get the right visibility, please create a separate idea for that request so it can be tracked individually.


  14. Please update the tax return screen so you can have a view of the tax return to the side of the return like bills does so you don't have to export the pdf to view the return

  15. We deal with Overseas companies and subsidiaries, Xero does not have recognise Overseas company number usually starts with FC123456, Xero does no recognise this and create corporation tax return. This is another deficiency of Xero which makes me look at other software.

  16. If I record sales tax paid on purchases in the US, Xero reports that as a negative liability on the balance sheet. It should either be reported on the P&L or the line item it applies to should be grossed up on the P&L.

  17. Tax repayments on UK Tax Returns are automatically offset against the January payment on account, even when it's requested to be sent by cheque or bank transfer. There should be the option for this to be shown separately on the calculation as it will confuse clients when they want to know what is due for payment in January.

  18. Ability to select a default 'compare with'. I like to run a report for a period using 'compare with previous year'. It drives me crazy that every time I need to change the dates it defaults back to 'compare with period'.

  19. UK Self-Assessment Tax Return - reporting dividend information.

    On the 2025/26 self-assessment tax return in the section for employment, if the company is a close company further details need to be added such as whether any dividends were paid during the year and the shareholder's % ownership in the company.

    I note that the help box relating to percentage shareholding of close company refers to "if no dividends were received, enter 0". This doesn't reflect what this section refers to i.e., percentage shareholding. So the help box needs updating.

  20. When editing reports we'll sometimes break formulas.

    In some cases, after fixing the formulas by:
    - Replacing broken elements so none are highlighted as red, or
    - Literally replacing every single formula
    We are still prevented from saving with the message "1 invalid formula. Please fix before switching or saving."

    This isn't a new idea but a request for the dev team to revisit the validation. It's pretty inconvenient to start over.
