Xero Accounting App - enter a receive money transaction
In the Xero Accounting App it would be really useful to be able to enter a receive money transaction. This option is only available in the desktop version but for those that receive cash on the move it would be helpful to be able to record this via the app, particularly as it won't show up in a bank feed.
1 voteThanks for sharing this idea. We can understand how being able to create a Receive Money transaction directly in the Xero Accounting mobile app could make it easier to capture transactions while you're away from your computer.
For now, if the payment has already appeared in your bank feed, you can create the transaction during bank reconciliation in the mobile app. If it hasn't reached your bank feed yet, you'll need to wait until you're back on a web browser to enter it manually.

Bank feed – AmBank Group Malaysia
AmBank Group Malaysia (including AmBank Islamic) currently has no direct bank feed integration with Xero. Malaysian SMEs using AmBank must manually export and upload CSV statements, which is inefficient and error-prone. We request Xero to establish a direct API-enabled bank feed with AmBank, similar to the existing CIMB and RHB Malaysia integrations. This would greatly benefit Malaysian businesses and support Xero's growing presence in Malaysia.
1 voteAppreciate you raising this idea, Azman. We can see how connecting AmBank Malaysia through a direct bank feed could help streamline reconciliation and reduce the need for manual statement imports.
We've moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback. We'll keep sharing interest from the community with the team as they assess future banking integrations.

Bank feed - Display warning of consequences when attempting to disconnect feed
Before triggering direct advice to the bank to disconnect a bank feed(s), send a warning to the Xero Administrator that outlines the impending course of action in an attempt to stop an unintended consequence after archiving an active bank account.
1 voteThanks for sharing this idea, Mark. We can understand how receiving a warning before Xero sends a request to disconnect a bank feed could help prevent accidental disconnections, particularly when an active bank account is archived unintentionally.

COA | Create new account - Ability to add reporting name on the fly
It would save numerous steps if:
When a new account is created from within a transaction (for instance spend money or journal entry) the option to add a reporting name was available, instead of having to update later through the chart of chart of accounts.
When creating a new account, through the chart of accounts or elsewhere, that the Report Code mapping category could be allocated at the same time.
26 votesHi everyone, thanks so much for all your feedback and support on this idea!
We know that sometimes you need to create a new account on the go—like when you’re right in the middle of entering a spend money transaction or a journal. But at the moment, you can’t create a new COA account then and there.
The current workaround is to create the account first from the Chart of Accounts before doing your actual task. While that gets the job done, we understand it’s not the most efficient way to work, especially when you’re trying to keep momentum.
This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. We’re keeping an eye on how much interest it’s getting, and your votes and comments help show the value this would bring to your day-to-day.

Reconciliation - Allow an 'Edit' option for existing batch reconciliation without requiring a full Remove and Redo
We make one Batch payment to suppliers each day. So we simply reconcile on the 'Find and Match' screen against the bills or overpayments. If however, we accidentally paid reconciled a payment to the wrong supplier, we have to 'Remove & Redo' the full payment - and then re-reconcile correctly.
Xero should have the ability to simply EDIT the reconciliation to change allow us to change the contact or whatever other permutations might be.
Or atleast include this in the Find and Recode facility somehow
1 voteThanks for sharing more detail around your workflow. We understand the request to edit a reconciled batch without needing to remove and recreate it. Having the flexibility to make minor changes to an existing batch could help save time and reduce rework.
In the meantime, you can leverage the Batch Payment feature to select relevant bills and credit notes from the Bills list, and create a batch payment transaction. You can then simply match the batch payment transaction to the statement line without having to manually select each bills from the Find & Match table.

Bank Feeds - Establish direct bank feed connection for Bank of Singapore (An OCBC Company)
Dear Support,
Please expand bank feed connections to the Bank of Singapore (An OCBC Company). This will assist greatly in processing bank account information in Xero.1 voteThanks for taking the time to suggest this. We understand the request to add Bank of Singapore as a supported bank feed connection. This could help customers and advisors spend less time managing manual statement uploads.
For now, bank transactions can be brought into Xero by importing a supported statement file from your banking provider.
We've updated this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest from the community. If this connection would help your business, add your vote and let us know more about your setup.

Bank Reconciliation - Add "Last Month" and "This Month" shortcut buttons with item counts to the Reconciliation screen
Show how many lines to reconcile per month:
I only use Xero once month, to do last months accounts. I know some people go in every day, or every few days and reconcile a few transactions, but I just do it all once a month and print the end of month reports. I am sure a large portion of people do this too.
I reconcile all previous months transactions, and run the reports. Say it is 8 April, I don't need to reconcile any transactions for April. I just want to close off March.
Therefore I want the blue "Reconcile…
2 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion. We understand you’re looking for quick filters like “Last Month” and “This Month”, along with transaction counts, within the bank reconciliation dashboard to help prioritise outstanding items.
Having these shortcuts and clearer visibility could make it easier to review specific periods and track reconciliation progress.

Bank Feeds - Add automatic bank feed support for Hong Leong Bank ConnectFirst business accounts
Xero urgently needs to add support for Hong Leong Bank commercial banking accounts (ConnectFirst) for automatic bank feeds and auto reconciliation. Right now, the Hong Leong connection appears limited to personal banking, which is not useful for many real business users.
For companies like ours, the actual operating account is under ConnectFirst, not personal banking. Without commercial bank feed support, we are forced into manual uploads and manual reconciliation, which defeats the purpose of automation and increases admin workload and error risk.
Please add Hong Leong ConnectFirst support as soon as possible. This would be a high-impact improvement for Malaysian…
2 votesHi Rex, thanks for sharing this suggestion. We understand you’re looking for automatic bank feeds for Hong Leong Bank ConnectFirst business accounts, so transactions can flow directly into Xero without needing manual imports.
Having a direct connection could help make reconciliation more efficient and reduce extra steps when managing daily finances.

Bank Reconciliation - Copy transfer transaction
I would like to be able to copy a Transfer transaction.
When viewing a transaction on the "Transaction: Spend Money" screen, the "Options" menu includes a "Copy" function. However, when viewing a transaction on the "Transaction: Transfer" screen, the "Options" menu does not have the "Copy" function. Please add the "Copy" function in the "Options" menu on the "Transaction: Transfer" screen.
6 votesHi Gregory, thanks for raising an idea in the forums here. To try get a better understanding of your workflow, is there a reason you would generally want to create the Transfer transactions prior to reconciling in your bank account?

Reconciliation - Autofill account and tax when applying a bank fee
It is frustrating when manually reconciling transactions when a variance is a bank transaction fee and I select 'Bank Fee' as the reason for the difference only to then have to select bank fee again when completing the transaction line presented for the Bank Fee.
Surely, if I have selected 'Bank Fee' as the reason for the difference, the line presented could have the 'Bank Fee' nominal account pre-selected and the appropriate Tax Rate populated given that it is for a Bank Fee?
It's only a small thing, but it bugs me.4 votesThanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. We appreciate you explaining how autofilling the account and tax fields when applying a bank fee could streamline reconciliation.

Third party payment Reconciliation - Simplify reconciliation
Improved Integration with Payment Platforms for Bank Feeds
I would like to suggest deeper integration between Xero and payment providers such as:
Stripe
GoCardless
Square
Specifically, it would be valuable if Xero could automatically import bank feeds from clearing accounts linked to these payment platforms.
Many businesses process large volumes of transactions through these providers, and reconciliation of clearing accounts can become time-consuming. Automated bank feeds for these accounts would streamline reconciliation, improve visibility over cash flow, and reduce manual data handling.
2 votesHi Matheus , thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. Can appreciate the need to simplify the reconciliation process when processing a third party payment. We'll open this idea up to the community to get more support and traction. Cheers!

Bank Feeds - Enable direct bank feeds for Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Line of Credit accounts
The new RBC connector cannot see the Line of Credit feeds and has to be refreshed separately compared to the old connector (Yodlee?)
1 voteHi Samantha, thanks for highlighting this improvement. We understand the ask to have a direct bank feed for RBC Line of Credit accounts could make it much easier to keep borrowing activity and repayments up to date without relying on manual imports.
At the moment, direct feeds for some RBC Line of Credit accounts aren't available. This means transactions may need to be imported manually, which can add extra steps when reconciling your accounts and monitoring balances.
In the meantime, you can download transactions from your RBC Online Banking account and import them into Xero using the Import a Statement option. This helps keep your account up to date while continuing to reconcile activity in Xero.
We'll continue to track interest and gather more input from others who'd benefit from this capability.

Lock date – Allow allocations in current period
New Feature:
The ability to choose what period to allocate specific Transactions / Credits in. Current period set by default. These should be payment type and credit type transactions. If the current period is the default this will save time by not having to open a prior locked period to allocate to a payment or invoice.
The current process falsifies when the credit was taken up and allocated, by forcing you to open prior periods which the credit was generated. When the debtor takes up the credit in current months payment, by opening prior periods this alters the locked period,…4 votesHi Katrina, thanks for sharing your thoughts on lock dates. Currently, tasks like allocating credit notes or prepayments can be blocked if transactions fall before the lock date. A non-advisor user can still apply a credit note if:
- The credit note is dated before the lock date and the invoice or bill is after the lock date, or
- The invoice or bill is dated before the lock date and the credit note is after the lock date.
However, if both the credit note and the invoice or bill are dated before the lock date, a non-advisor can’t apply it. In this case, an adviser needs to either temporarily remove the lock or apply the credit note themselves.
Xero also provides both a Standard and an Adviser lock date, which lets advisers restrict staff while still completing necessary allocations and adjustments.

Bank Feeds - Streamline the authority form for Co-operative Bank account
When linking a Co-Operative Bank Business account it is currently necessary to download and print off a pre-populated form, sign and then upload. Two weeks later you (I assume this is a common experience) receive a message saying the bank account number needed to be 16 digits. You then need to do the whole thing again, this time adding two zeros to the end of the bank account number so the system can recognise it.
Ideally of course non of this would be necessary but I think the piece of paper itself is a Co-Op problem not a Xero one.…
1 voteHi Carolyn, thanks for raising this with the community. We can see how a simpler way to connect Co-operative Bank accounts could make getting started with bank feeds much easier.
At the moment, the setup process for some bank feeds is determined by the bank's requirements, which may include completing and submitting an authority form before the feed can be activated. While waiting for the bank feed to be approved, you can import bank statements manually using CSV files to keep your accounts up to date and continue reconciling transactions.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest. If you'd like to share more, it would be helpful to know which part of the setup process caused the most friction, whether it was the forms, the approval timeframe, or something else.

Bank Reconciliation - Ability to "park" or hold complex transactions in a separate tab on the Reconcile screen
Suspension of transactions waiting for more information
Please please please
When doing the reconciliations can there be a quick action button that lets me set aside this transaction for now so I can continue with the easier reconciliations and then come back to these ones.
Ideally the selected transactions would change colour and stay at the top of the list for revisiting. Even perhaps with a line underneath them to delineate from the main recon list.
The "suspension list" would not be part of the scrolling or page selection, as we need to easily see that they still need to…1 voteHi Dianne, thanks for sharing your feedback here.
Having a way to temporarily park bank statement lines during reconciliation could make it easier to work through high volumes of transactions without losing your place when an item needs further investigation.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this is a feature you'd like to see, please continue to vote and share how you currently manage these transactions. Your feedback helps us better understand how this could support different reconciliation workflows.

Bank Reconciliation - Option to Edit rule from the Reconcile screen
Add a current transaction to an existing back rule with one-click!
This is a no brainer. Instead of going bank to rules to add another condition, we should be able to click - options: add to bank rule. End of story!6 votesThanks for your idea. This isn't something we have plans of ATM but we'll start to get a sense of others that'd like to see this from your idea here.

Bank Feeds - Automated email notifications for bank feeds issue
Xero to send out an email reminder for when a bank feed either needs refreshing, has an issue, or is due, and tag as many other users of your choice in that email.
1 voteHi everyone, thanks for raising this with the community.
We can see how email notifications for disconnected or expired bank feeds could help users stay on top of issues and take action sooner when a connection needs attention.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback and better understand how proactive bank feed notifications could support your workflows.
Please keep adding your votes and sharing more detail on how you'd like these alerts to work.

Bank Feeds - Real time update
Given that bank transactions are now processed 24 hours a day 7 days a week, it would be good if Xero ran overnight processing everyday rath
1 voteHi Greg, thanks for raising this. We can see how running automated bank feed processing and matching on weekends as well as weekdays could help keep transaction data more consistently up to date and reduce Monday catch-up.
