  1. New RBC Royal Bank Feed Flinks is very cumbersome for 2FA it asks for the code twice. It also cannot see the Line of Credit feeds that has to be refreshed separately compared to the old connector (Yodlee?). Would be great if you could give feedback to Flinks for a faster connection.

  2. The new bank authenticator for RBC Royal Bank (Flink) is more cumbersome as it asks for the 2FA code twice and cannot see the Line of Credit accounts. Those need to be done separate compared to the old (Yodlee?) connector. Would be good if Flink could fix this for faster connection.

  3. It would be great if Xero could automatically do the transfer between Xero bank accounts.
    This is our most time consuming and often error-prone coding in Xero when it should be a simple fix. Many clients still battle with this.

  5. Option (in Settings) not to allow creation of new transaction to reconcile incoming payment and only allow reconciliation against either existing invoices or from the Match/Create form. We have had a couple of occasions where clicking OK in error on a transaction creates a new transaction that fully reconciles a payment leaving invoices unreconciled and sending overdue emails.

  6. I don't think this is possible but it would be a real help to be able to highlight transactions so you can change them to the other column as I've just spent 20 mins on the Spend column when it should have been Received as I forgot to change it at the start !!

  8. When reconciling transactions and Find & Match is used, usually for multiple matches, please add an attachment button.
    In the example of one payment matched to multiple sales invoices, there is usually a remittance provided by the client that we need to file with the payment.
    We shouldn't need to go back to a reconciled transaction and manually add the remittance to each line individually.

  10. The “Allocate Credit Balance” screen when applying supplier credit notes to bills is confusing and misleading.

    The “Amount to Credit” input fields appear inactive because there is no cursor change, highlight, or visual focus indicator when hovering or clicking into the fields. This makes users believe the fields are disabled.

    Additionally, the checkbox on the left suggests it must be selected before entering an amount, but it does not actually control allocation behaviour. This creates confusion during supplier reconciliation workflows.

    This resulted in unnecessary troubleshooting time and could easily be improved with clearer input focus styling or better checkbox behaviour.

  11. Unlike the dashboard on the web, the dashboard on the android mobile app does not have a widgets for Chart of Accounts Watchlist or Tasks. It would be good if it did

  12. Use the bank feed as a calculator. Insert tick boxes and select the relevant tick box for money received and/or spent to calculate totals

    For example, have a tick function (such as a tick within the Bills section) to add payments into / out of bank account.

    The benefit could be to help users reconcile individual payments in the bank account against other ledgers used within the users business whether online or offline

  13. HSBC Business bank feed that updates more frequently than 24 hours in arrears. The fact that it takes more than a day for a customer payment to appear in Xero makes it hard to have effective account management.

    Hi Nikki — thanks for sharing this and explaining how more frequent updates would help your account management. I can see that you have raised this previously with Xero Support and as you know there is a delay of 24 hours for the UK HSBC bank feed to reduce duplicates 😣. We can assure you that we’ll keep monitoring this and will update the thread as further improvements become available. Thanks again for raising it and helping us track demand.

  15. It would be great if we could recode the dates on invoices - and I'm not meaning due dates. We have holiday programmes running in April and start advertising them in March. Our online booking system sends through the new invoices to be approved at the time of booking. This would be fine except our financial year runs 1 April - 31 March and we have to manually change the date each invoice was issued to an April date. This gets very frustrating and time consuming.

  16. The ability to create new tracking categories at the time of reconciling payments or creating invoices or bills would be super helpful. I work for a charity and we have grants to track, and it is annoying having to go into tracking categories to create new ones every time we get a different grant. We have two types of tracking categories - one I've named "revenue sources" and the other named "Budget". To be able to add a new grant to 'revenue sources' at the time of inputting the invoice would be super helpful.

    I am a regular user of the Xero Cloud Portal and appreciate the platform's intuitive features for managing business finances.

    However, I am currently facing a challenge when reconciling bank transactions. I frequently receive bulk deposits that are made up of a large number of small invoices—often exceeding 100. Unfortunately, Xero's current system limits me to matching only up to 100 invoices against a single deposit. This creates a significant bottleneck in my reconciliation process and affects my workflow efficiency.

  18. New Feature:
    The ability to choose what period to allocate specific Transactions / Credits in. Current period set by default. These should be payment type and credit type transactions.

    If the current period is the default this will save time by not having to open a prior locked period to allocate to a payment or invoice.
    The current process falsifies when the credit was taken up and allocated, by forcing you to open prior periods which the credit was generated. When the debtor takes up the credit in current months payment, by opening prior periods this alters the locked period,…

    Hi Katrina, thanks for sharing your thoughts on lock dates. Currently, tasks like allocating credit notes or prepayments can be blocked if transactions fall before the lock date. A non-advisor user can still apply a credit note if:

    • The credit note is dated before the lock date and the invoice or bill is after the lock date, or
    • The invoice or bill is dated before the lock date and the credit note is after the lock date.

    However, if both the credit note and the invoice or bill are dated before the lock date, a non-advisor can’t apply it. In this case, an adviser needs to either temporarily remove the lock or apply the credit note themselves.

    Xero also provides both a Standard and an Adviser lock date, which lets advisers restrict staff while still completing necessary allocations and adjustments.

  20. Similar to how "isReconciled" is supported by the API, allow it to be specified for the from/to account when creating a Bank Transfer rule. This would simplify the transfer process from external sources that are reconciled outside Xero.
