New Purchase Order View - Shift files button back to top of screen
New Purchase order View is a waste of space.
Critical items such as attachments moved to an obscure place.
Requires extra cursor movement distances
Requires Extra Clicks
= Takes longer to do the same thing
This is the pattern of anything "NEW" Xero does, you're developers are killing me by slaughtering the program.
Why are you paying programmers and developers to ruin it?
Thanks again for the feedback we have received from everyone here on the positioning of the Files button.
I'd like to confirm that our product team have released an update so this is now available from the top right of the page next to the Save and Send options.

We have found two major issues with new purchasing format relating to transferring from quote to purchase order. This is a process we do frequently and is costing us a lot of time:
1 - Item ref does not transfer from quote to purchase order, this then needs to manually added to ensure it transfers to the bill and inventory.
2 - When adding the delivery address from existing contacts to the purchase order it includes the address but does not include the company name within the address. It is crucial that company name is included in the address. If there is a work around available please advise.
Thanks

I think this might be the same problem I'm having after a recent update.
You used to be able to open up the invoice attachments from within an approved purchase order. Now you have to open up a new duplicate screen to view the invoice each time. Extremely frustrating and time consuming when you're processing multiple purchase order in a row.

New purchase order
When you copy to purchase order from quote Tracking category and item code disappeared.
We need back to quote to put them back. -

Changing something for change sake is not a particularly good idea. The previous purchase order screen worked well. I don't understand why invoicing and purchase order screens should have to align. What I do know is that I find the new purchase order screen hurts my eyes. I am not going to repeat what Fiona has put in her comment at 4.58am this morning but I will say, I wholeheartedly agree with everything! It wasn't broken and it didn't need fixing!

I have submitted this to support for more detailed feedback.
I have issues with new purchase order view:
1. A vast expanse of white space, the same features and marginally different font spread over twice the amount of screen space. Edge to Edge.
2. Increased eye movement and neck pivoting has WHS and OOS implications appear to have had no consideration.
3. The lack of colour/tone differentiating fields, data and spaces when compared to classic increases eye strain even when display settings are adjusted.
4. Attachments are now positioned diagonally opposite to the classic location leading to increased and unnecessary cursor movements.
5. Attachments:
i. Why narrow down what can be clicked to preview, I have to actually click the word view, classic allows clicking on the name anywhere to preview.
ii. Can no longer be previewed, they open a pop up that covers the existing view within Xero but then downloads. I need the preview not a download (yes I know I can change a setting in browser to change this however this then means all my other PDFs will open in browser when I need them to be in my PDF viewer.)
iii. Xero is again relying on third party programs for functions it used to be able to do on its own merit.
iv. I am sure I am not the only one when I say I need to be able to preview the document attached side by side with the purchase order/ invoice/bill it is attached to. It adds to the above WHS implications, and from an accounting perspective if full screen or new tab are our only options it leaves greater margin for error, this pop up should be resizable to match classic. These comments also need to be applied for when you force new bills onto us.

Hi @ Andrew J - Yep, I needed to vent. I have decided that I need to move on from Xero, unfortunately they hold my files and attachments ******* as I cant bulk export nearly 11 years worth of data.

I hate that I have to move my cursor to the bottom and other side of the screen to find something that used to be at the top
