Thanks for your contributions and voting on this idea, community. While we're seriously taking on board your feedback for how and why being able to hold selections across pages would be helpful when processing batch payments, we want to be open that this isn't a focus area for product at this time.

Hi Tina, just thinking in lieu of this feature atm - To help get a view of bills that don't have an assigned planned date you can click the Planned date header to sort all bills by planned date and this will also group all bills with no planned date. 🙂

Hello everyone, we appreciate all the support here and understand how being able to import and export bank rules would help with clean up, and save time in updating or adding bank rules.
The idea has been closely considered, however we want to be transparent that building this specific feature is not on our roadmap.
Our current focus within bank reconciliation is on delivering more automation and intelligent tools to help you reconcile faster. This includes improving the core functionality of how Xero suggests and matches transactions, ultimately aiming to reduce the need for manual rule creation and management.
We're confident that these broader improvements will help streamline your workflow and address some of the underlying pain points you've raised. Hi team, we appreciate hearing how splitting batch payments could make reconciliation faster and less manual, especially when only one invoice from a batch is paid and the rest remain outstanding.
We agree there’s a real opportunity here to simplify the process. While this isn’t something we’re building right now, it’s part of a broader set of ideas we’re considering as we look at how to make reconciliation more flexible and efficient.
For UK and US customers we have online bill payments that make the batch and reconciliation process much simpler - If you’re not too familiar with online bill payments you can get to know more through Xero Central and learn if this solution is right for you;

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on this idea, community. We appreciate that having to manually select attachments on every invoice can feel a little fiddly. We get that you want a smoother workflow, that saves you time.
As noted by others in the idea, one option for now would be to add standard files, like your terms and conditions, directly to your invoice template. That way, they'll be included automatically when you send out your invoices.
To confirm how this functionality currently works - this is based on the user and driven by the last invoice that was sent. Where you have files attached, and you had selected to include files as an attachment when emailing the invoice, the next invoice you send with file attachments should have this selected by default.
A caveat to this is when you are working in incognito mode, or refresh your browser…

It would be very helpful for businesses under construction industry to have a column for retentions as department of housing usually withheld amounts under retention before the jobs are complete and only then these retentions are released
This will be very helpful for running 2k+ bills (in a month) that are to be paid at a specific date. This will help streamlining client's process in payables.
