Hi Maresa, when you say you'd like to add Location would this be based on a Tracking category you've set up in the organisation? If so, you could add this when you create the original transaction(bill) the asset is raised from.

Thanks for your idea, John. We don't have plans for adding an optional default setting for cover and contents atm but we'll begin tracking the interest in this through your idea.

Enable employees/users to enter PO's against an approved supplier and have limited access to the financials.

Is there an App for this? I wonder if there is some kind of access to XERO app or something basically allowing someone to create their PO or invoice in an app and then the file is sent to the purchasing or sales dept for upload and approval. I believe it would also be great if sales people can see their info in Xero, that helps them satisfy and to see their progress in amount of sales or they can just be given a recurring report via email sent automatically.

This is a huge need for us, people in our wider organization need to be able to request permission to spend and get approved, doing it in Xero enables it to be included in the cashflow, etc., but we cannot give them access as we don't want them to have the ability to edit suppliers/ create bills etc.John Zito supported this idea ·

User roles impact all areas of the product, there are many considerations we must factor in when assessing how to solve for majority of our customers needs - As you can see there is a large range of ideas for different roles shared by customers in Product Ideas.

I agree, its about having a separation of user levels & access to very confidential company data. One should be for financial administration, so invoice raising, reconciling, general accounts function, inventory, warehouse or sales work should be completely different access from full access to all the profit and loss, balance sheet and complete financial performance of the company available only to company owners/directors. Bank account access is useful in some roles to make sure oney is coming in and correct, but I do take issue with the performance of the company including the income statement being accessible.

Hello everyone, we want to let you know that we’ve recently released the ability to convert PDF bank statements into pre-formatted CSV files in Xero (Read more on our blog for more information).
Currently, this feature is only available in the US and Canada. We know this tool will also be valuable to other regions and we'll be sure to update you with any new information about it becoming available globally.
For now, we’ll move the status of this idea to ‘Under review’. So keep voting and give us your input on how this feature can benefit your workflow!

I would like to see First Farmers and Merchants Bank in Columbia, Tennessee in the U.S. be one of the banks listed in HubDoc in order to convert their bank statements into a csv file to import into Xero.

I agree Andrew! It's very easy to miss contacts that belong into specific groups and hard to figure out which ones I haven't grouped yet. Who is in what group if you are in ALL Contacts, should be a label field in ALL, so you know the customer is actually in a group.
