I totally agree why can't we have user role which allows to be able to pick either or Both Sales and Purchase orders, quotes and invoices.
Can we please have Xero Support look at adding this function as it would prove most helpful for some clients.

Hi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.

Totally agree with having the ability to send invoices, Purchase orders and statements to different emails.
One of my clients is a shop fitter and we send emails to their sales team which have a different email to the accounts department. Hence at the moment we are sending invoices & PO to both emails address. It would be great if this could be split so only the appropriate department received email.Maria Li Volti supported this idea ·

Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.
Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:
- what’s available in new invoicing right now,
- timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
- a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.
We'll be updating this page regularly.
Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

Our Project Managers/Employees use purchase orders everyday for materials on job sites and attach invoices, so our accounts department can convert to bill and pay immediately. Therefore it would save our accounts time with downloading invoice and attaching to bill. If there is the possibility of invoice being copied over when PO is converted to Bill.

This function is very critical, as i have many clients and exporting to excel and manually entering figures is time consuming and figures are not always correct as do not filter to outstanding GST balance at end of sheet.

I totally agree with everyone's comments as to why Xero cannot make a simple change for User Roles so staff to only access Purchases/Sales only and not all the financial side of a business.
It would make my job easier and my frustration not as intense if this was made available to all.

We use tracking categories to track our projects/jobs. Is there any way to increase the limit from 100?
The only way to keep adding new tracking categories is for us to archive previous jobs, which is not appropriate in our line of work. We still need to keep tracking on for jobs after they have been completed, as clients call us back for additional works/repairs.
