An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedPlease add this feature! We are a fabrication business where every job is made in projects and the guys have to allocate their time to projects everyday. Then they also have to do their timesheets. Something is ALWAYS forgotten. The guys also don't appreciate having to fill both out because it feels like double handling.
We have multiple projects every week that are completed and invoiced out so assigning costs to projects is imperative. Without it we can't continue as a business because costs must be allocated otherwise reports do not disclose true profits. Hence future quoting will be incorrect if based on historical project time entries if the time entries have not been correctly entered.

Hey folks, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding timesheet reminders ⏰
We understand that the ability to easily remind employees to fill out timesheets would make things easier and save you time.
Our product team is currently investigating potential solutions for this but at this early stage there are no specific time frames available. We’ll be sure to let you know if there’s any change, though! An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedPlease add Timesheet reminders, it is a simple and easy way to remind all staff including those who may be away the day prior when everyone is verbal reminded.
It is a tedious task trying to get everyone to fill in their timesheets is to the point you don't want to pay them because then maybe they will do it.

Would possibly need to consider the # of communications individual contacts are receiving if you had unlimited reminders.
To get a sense of what our customers would be looking for - do you have a # of reminders in mind that would most suit your business, Ryan? 🙂

Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is looking into this idea however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop the ability to schedule emails.
Totally understand how this feature could benefit your workflow though, being able to schedule an email to send during acceptable hours, so you don’t have to remember!
Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

Thanks for your idea, Sarah - We'll get a sense of the interest here.
Perhaps in the meantime you could look to use the Archive and restore options for an account in your chart of accounts as a way of managing this?

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedWe need this feature. It is now becoming a huge problem with the limited ability Xero has to add and select different emails. I am not sure why the Organisation cannot have more than one reply to email and select an email for different areas like quoting and bills.
Similar to Contacts. Xero have the ability to have multiple email addresses for contacts but there is no option to select what address is for what. So when you send a remittance every single email address that is against that contact and selected to receive emails comes up. We have hundreds of contacts and will never remember what emails need to be deleted for what before sending anything. Why can't there be a way to select an email for remittances, an email to receive quotes, and email to receive invoices and an invoice to receive bills.
Our next problem is there is no way to make subcontacts under a main contact. For example of the main contact is an organisation then there may be several contacts that control different departments or levels within that organisation and therefore if we need to deliver goods to an organisation and Attention it to a particular person which changes all the time, we have to go into the contact > addresses>billing address> and change the attention name.

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedAnd the option to add deposit invoices and partial invoices where the invoice number could have -1 or -2 for every additional invoice but the system can recognise they are all for the same job/item.
An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedThis would reduce a lot of confusion for both our staff and customers! We often request a 50% deposit for our major projects and then the remaining amount on delivery.

Appreciate your input here, everyone. This is a feature that our team have looked into and would like to develop for AU Payroll, however there are a few other key pieces of work lined up before they get a chance to explore this further.
Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. If there’s any movement, we’ll make sure to come back and let you all know.An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedThis would be such a great feature! I have made our company our own to help our new employees get set up in the meantime. Most people have phones now so the document I made is all digital making it a very easy process.
However, this would be more beneficial to have on Xero's behalf and maybe a bit easier. At the moment many employees are overwhelmed by all the apps they need to download and we do not really appreciate having to ask them to download everything....Xero me, Xero verify, Xero projects, Xero Expenses...it is a lot and can be very confusing in the set up stage.

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedAgreed. This is a must. So annoying we can't everything looks so messy!
An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedThis would be great for those invoices you make by mistake, they should have never been made in the first place and to able to completely delete them is much cleaner. Also it prevents confusion in the future if or when you have to go back and look at something.

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedTimesheets and Time entries into projects need to work together. Everyone is essentially putting their time in twice which is double handling and annoying.
Different parts of Xero need to work more congruently.Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedThis is such an important feature that needs to be added to projects. We have just realised ourselves that all previous reporting is not even a close representation to what actually happened because of this issue.
Please fix this!

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedI agree with Robert, being able to make it default for some contacts and leave others out would be the best option.

Thanks for your feedback and interest in the idea here. We appreciate the desire for being able to enable employees to make these changes themselves.
While this is something the team will continually review as they keep developing Payroll for Australia, we want to be open that this is not in the direct plans atm.
If there are any changes or progress for developing this we'll be sure to come back and update you on this, here.
An error occurred while saving the comment Emma Rosenblatt (Accounts) commentedFully agree with all the comments below. This feature needs to be added as it the issue it causes is very time consuming...

We need the ability to select different emails for different things.
We sell to different departments in a company and each company in xero has its' own contact. Therefore we need to be able to send invoices to specific persons in each department e.g.
- Invoice xyz to Person A
- Invoice abc to Person B
- Invoice qwe to Person C
We also need the ability to send bills for a contact to a specific email, invoices to a different email and remittances to another email, and statements to another email again. Every department of our customers and clients require different email addresses for different things and they are super annoyed when we don't do this.
We would be able to do the simple admin side of things if XERO had more customization with contacts alone.
I understand there are many other areas that need improvement as well.
