Hi everyone, we're grateful for your feedback on improving Find and Recode, and recognise how sorting by description could enhance your ability to review and recode transactions.
While not a direct solution, you could filter by Contact and then in the browser Ctrl + F to search highlight keywords in descriptions and find the right transactions. We know it's not perfect, but might help narrow things down.
To be transparent and provide some clarity here, there are no planned changes to change the functionality within Find & recode right now. We will share if our position around this changes and there are any updates for you all here.

Thanks for your feedback and letting us know how we could improve the way duplicates alerts work for you here.
While we don't have any immediate changes planned for this, our team will consider improvements to this model overtime.
For the time being we'll continue to keep our eyes on the support for this in community, here. I'll share if there is any news.

Thanks for the detail in your idea here, Paul. I had a bit of a test of this myself and have checked in with our reporting team.
It doesn't quite appear in the modal once the report's run - this is something that we'll look to improve.
However, it's possible to enter multiple terms which will each be searched and return results for (like OR as an operator) - All you need to do is enter a comma(,) and space between each condition.
For example A0, L0 or A0, A1, A2, 🙂

Hi team, wanting to provide an update to you here, we want you to know we understand the efficiency more users would like to have in being able to automate the creation of the Xero subscription invoice inside their Xero org.
To highlight from my last update for UK users this is possible with eInvoicing through the online invoice (My Bills page).
This is still something we're interested in developing in more regions however isn't planned in our roadmap just yet.
When resource opens up for us to be able to pick this work up we will share an update with you all on this here. Thanks for staying engaged and supporting in this idea.

This would be a huge timesaver, please implement this! By date and alphabetical is not reliable.
Example: multiple transactions from Pretend Company Ltd may show on bank statement as:
868PretendCompany
353PretendCompany
535PretendCompany
www.PretendCompany
*cardnumber*PretendCompanyso they are not searchable by sorting using any current filters (amount, date, alphabetical).
A search and filter would be so helpful!

Hi Tiaan, while you can't filter or search by money received or spent you can order your transactions from the Account transactions tab by Received or Spent by clicking on the column header. Does this achieve what you're in need of here, or could you share a bit more detail of what you're often looking to find? If needed you could add a date search to filter these down further.

Hi Abrar, thanks for the thoughtful suggestion and the screenshots showing the account code used when reconciling the bank statement lines. We’ve shared your feedback with the team so they can consider this in future improvements. In the meantime, it’d be great to hear from others who’d benefit—please add your vote and any specific scenarios where this would save time in your workflow. In the meantime as a short-term workaround, run the Account Transactions report for the Bank account and add the Related account column to see where each transaction was coded ✨

Hi team, we understand how being able to search reference from the Account Transactions screen would create more efficiencies for those who've supported here.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans for extending the search for at present.
Right now, the best option would be to make use of the search within the Account Transactions report, where you can select the bank account you'd like to search and then can add a filter for Reference.
If this is something you'd find yourself commonly using you could make sure the Account Transactions report is favourited, and could even save a custom report of the Account Transactions report filtered by the bank account to save you a step.
For now, we'll continue to watch the interest in this idea grow and share if there are any updates planned. Thanks

Is there a specific element / field of the transactions that you're trying to search by?
Currently there are a range of details that you can search by and Xero will return results for transactions that have been entered in your org (reconciled or unreconciled)

Hi team, we get how searching across bank accounts would be useful when looking for a specific transaction.
While our product team have reviewed this idea, we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the short term.
That doesn’t mean it’s off the table, and we'll continue to assess the interest from community in this as we keep planning our roadmaps.
If things change we'll gladly share with you all here.
In the meantime, you can use the search in Xero and filter by bank transactions. It’s not a perfect solution, but it can help in some situations.

I would agree with this, the flagged list includes deleted bills in the flagged list
I.e. Bill A is uploaded twice, it is flagged and I void then delete one. The same bill is flagged continually as a duplicate, yet when you select Review upon prompting, each of the bills is one awaiting payment/reconciled/etc, one is deleted.
This should not flag a duplicate.
I have attached my current list that Xero flags every time I enter Purchases. Every duplicate flagged is not correct and was deleted some time ago.
