  2. Is it possible to permanently remove the help banners that continually appear at the top of screens in Xero?

    Ideally, it would be nice to use these (if needed) and then close them off permanently, so they don't reappear every time you work in the file.

    They take a significant amount of space at the top of the screen so you actually have to X them out.

  3. Draft Bills - BULK add Due date when bulk approving.
    - need to use when creating RCTI's from purchase orders. We have the option to bulk move from Purchase order to Draft Bill, but then must open each one individually to apply the due date so that they can then be approved.

    Another alternative is to add a 'due date' field on the screen when choosing to transfer the Purchase Orders to the Draft Bill page

  4. You can enter a group for an employee on the employment information but this function cannot be used on the reports.

    If the information of which employee is in which group, then surely its not a huge leap to add this function to the reports. Using the gross to net report, you could select a group rather than an individual, saving a lot of time.

  5. When a Pay Template has been created for an employee, only the matching Earnings Rate should be overwritten by entries in Timesheets. Any other Earnings Rates that are set up in the Pay Template should still should still be available in the Payslip - they shouldn't have to be added back in again when processing the pay run. For instance, Fares & Travel Pattern Allowance needs to be paid over and above the Ordinary Hours recorded on the Timesheet.   6. There is no reason to have a limit of 15 Custom DOCX Branding Themes (when those are needed to be used as RCTI). Organisations that issue RCTI do so for many clients so why limit it.

  7. Checks (cheques) cut for Xero US subscribers should print addresses accordingly. Not all the letters in a City need to be capitalized. City not CITY. Furthermore, there should be a comma after City. And if you use the Attention feature in the Contact Address, it should print as the first line in the check address. Currently it prints as Vendor Name, Attention: Jane Doe. That makes for a very odd, confusing addressee on the check.

    I send out reports to my departments each month, this morning it took 4 hours to add the tracking codes to the new P & L reports (we love the new report and so do our Department Heads).
    I was wondering if there is a way of saving each custom report for each individual dept with their tracking within a folder. We have a Junior and Senior Campus and about 45 departments at each.     There's no facility to create folders in the Reports Centre for this sort of categorisation atm.

  11. It would be great if a column could be added to either the Aged Receivables Report or the Receivable Invoice Detail Report that shows the number of days the invoice is overdue by.

    The number of days an invoice is overdue by can be seen on the 'Awaiting Payment' tab in the invoice section in Xero, but even on this part the information cannot be exported.

  12. Offering a simple update to the Xero system which would dramatically improve one grey area:

    I had a discussion with my team and it's a common topic that keeps coming up - we find it very awkward having the 'Time Off' allowance displayed in 'Hours'.

    Just like some other tracking systems, they allow you to see your 'Time Off' as 'Days' which is much easier to glance at - instead of having to continuously calculate hours, which takes time and can cause confusion on some occasions.

  13. At present it is impossible to link a payroll item to an Asset Account in GL. This is a limitation that is wrong and should be easy to fix. It is wrong because in some cases the wages are capitalised (for instance when the resources are used in full or in part to construct capital assets). Sure, it is possible to post a journal to move costs from P&L to a Balance Sheet account but it is cumbersome and error prone. I note, a majority of competing products do not have this limitation.

    Hi community, while we appreciate you sharing in the idea here we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the global Pay run product. Instead, we'd recommend using a manual journal to record this.

  14. When a staff member has a HECS debt or other Student Loan selected AND is salary sacrificing - the Student loan amount is only calculated on the GROSS amount AFTER the salary sacrifice however when the staff member has gone to do their tax return, they have a tax bill because the ATO looks at the taxable income as an amount INCLUDING the salary sacrifice so via Xero not enough PAYGW has been withheld - can this be amended?

  15. More than four bank accounts for employees: It would be helpful if we could have more than four bank accounts for employee wages to be split into. A minimum of 6 would be good as a few employees have asked for money to be split into more than four accounts.

  16. Universal search should include Unreconciled Transactions Too.

    We often search the amount of spend money or bill in universal search but we cannot find the unreconciled transaction through the Universal Search.

  17. I would like to see the limitation of receiving payment on 50 inovices be increased or removed completely. I Have a trucking company that issues hundreds of trip invoices to it's customers and the limit of receiving payment on 50 invoices at a time doesnt work for them.

  20. When the Switch rule is set for an account group in Balance Sheet, only individual accounts with negative balances are moved. Please allow option to switch for the whole account group, not individual accounts only.
