  1. The Xero bulk invoice import template makes provision to allow for the population of data into the available tracking categories that would correspond to same inside Xero. However, is it possible to do same with a project? Xero have since confirmed it is not possible to include project allocations when importing invoices.

    We have a high frequent need to import bulk lines of data each representing individual invoices, and we wish to use Xero projects, but need to be able to allocate the bulk upload of these invoices to the applicable projects inside Xero.

  2. It would be great if the Reference field was moved to the body of the sales invoice so that you could add item line referencing with the option to enable the referencing to print on the sales invoice.

    For example, a plumbing business completes work for a customer that has multiple rental properties. If the reference field was in the body of the sales invoice, they could add the applicable property address here so that they and the customer could differentiate what work was completed at each property for the invoiced period.

  3. The current option available for updating the time in lieu of XERO is to previously inform the fixed number of hours that will be added to the leave balance in the leave register. However, the number of hours varies each week, so I cannot predict in advance how many hours each employee will work.

    My suggestion includes an automatic update from the time in lieu of using a timesheet. Thus reducing the probability of errors by entering the balance manually.

  4. Change decimal places for hours to 4 decimal places instead of 2. When hours are imported from Tanda it shows errors, as Tanda exports to 4 decimal places for more accuracy

  5. Please enable assigning manual journals to projects and for project reports to also include the account name / account code.

    The benefits from using tracking categories far outweigh that of Xero project if features like manual journal and account transactions report is not able to reflect or is not consistent with the use of Xero projects.

    Please also consider producing a warning if project name is being duplicated. Another thing that should be critically considered is to include projects under the Find & Recode feature.

  6. We like the discount column on Customer Invoices.
    We love being able to copy Customer Invoices to Bills.

    But what happens to the discount when we copy a customer invoice to a supplier bill? It appears in the total but it doesn't appear anywhere on the bill and it's impossible to edit or remove unless the entire discounted item is removed and added.

    I've spent many confused hours wondering why the bill doesn't add up.

    Even a flag to state that there is a hidden discount would be an improvement.

  7. There should be a way we can change the email address that the files inbox accepts to make it more tailored to clients?

    For example for a client, their inbox files email could be: xero.inbox.owerthsgm56785.49n6356@xerofiles.com which is crazy!

    It would be so much better if it could be something like xero.inbox.clientname@xerofiles.com

  9. Within the old Xero profit and loss report, there used to be a feature where you could add account transactions to a excel export of the profit and loss. The account transactions for a specific account would appear as a separate tab in the excel profit and loss export. Unfortunately, this feature seems to have been removed with in the new profit and loss. It would be great to see this feature reimplemented, as losing functionality of a report due to an upgrade is a shame.

  12. Some larger companies with automated systems do not want reminders going to the same email address that the invoices go to. Doing this results in a duplicate invoice going into their system, which stops the payment going through as they then need to manually sort out what's going on. They have one email address for the invoice and another for reminders, to avoid that duplication.
    Currently, we need to leave the email address on the contact, then turn off invoice reminders and make a note to manually send reminders.

  14. In the aged receivable reports (summary and detail) Xero currently assigns any invoice that is due today to the "< 1 Month" column. But an invoice that is due today isn't yet overdue, so it should still be in the "Current" column.

  15. Suggestion: enable the 'Columns' feature that is available in the customer activity list to more parts of Xero. I would like to be able to hide the 'Cost Price' column from Products & Services on the front-of-house system so it's not visible to customers when we are doing a price check.

  16. Allow Negative Discounts to provide a basic Tiered Pricing Solution

    There has been a huge amount of noise over the last 5+ years about Xero not supporting Tiered pricing. This can mean many things, but the most basic requirement is Customer Price Lists.

    It can be as simple as allowing negative discounts in the Contact Record...a negative discount would increase the price instead of discounting it.

    Every Item Currently has a default 'Sale Price'.

    Our AU Payroll team are testing some changes to Payroll reconciliation. The idea to create an AU payroll reporting pack is highly associated with payroll reconciliation and we feel that voters here would also have an interest in payroll reconciliation. They would love to hear from you!

    They’re aiming to conduct some 1 on 1 interviews between 6 Feb - 16 Feb 2024, the interviews will last 45 minutes.

    The purpose of the session: Participants will be asked to help with testing a prototype concept designed to enhance the AU payroll reconciliation process.

  19. See Inventory Item Cost when doing a Quote. I would find it helpful, when doing a quote to a customer, to see the cost of the inventory item I am quoting on. Of course, it should not appear in the final quote going to the client, but seeing it, would give me more confidence in doing my quote and make it a lot quicker. Thanks

The chart of accounts should really have opening stock, closing stock and dividends as these are items that are usually needed, or perhaps some codes should be blank and we can amend them to our clients needs. The Chart of accounts are currently very basic and when adding a new code it should give you the available codes under each section i.e. for direct costs give an indication of which 300 code is available and where it should be rather than us having to guess.
