AU Payroll - Schedule superannuation payments
Add in ability to forward date when a superannuation payment is processed. I would like to submit the authority when I review the monthly super but have the payment not made until it is actually due, which would be a date in the future that I enter.

Reports: Show net profit or loss on Trial Balance report
Showing profit of Loss on Trial Balance (at both Client XERO Blue and advisor) Reports
At present the trial balance report does not show profit or loss, can or will XERO recode the report in client reports(XERO Blue) and in the advisor templates. This is something I believe all accountants and bookkeepers will welcome the change, as the would improve workflow.

Bank Feeds - Notify when the feed has been updated
Could Xero either provide notifications to users when their bank feed has automatically retrieved their transactions or have a place in Xero where a user can see the time their feed has automatically been updated. This would help those people who receive notifications from their banks when somebody has successfully logged in know that it is from a legitimate source.

Purchase Orders - Import associated files from Unleashed
We use Unleashed (UL) for all of our purchases and sales. The team uploads associated files, proformas, invoices, and receipts directly to the UL PO.
When the PO is completed and 'pushed' to Xero, the associated documents are lost. I then have to login, find them, download from UL, and then upload them into Xero.
Is there anyway that these files can be pulled with the rest of the information?

Quotes - View Inventory Item Cost
See Inventory Item Cost when doing a Quote. I would find it helpful, when doing a quote to a customer, to see the cost of the inventory item I am quoting on. Of course, it should not appear in the final quote going to the client, but seeing it, would give me more confidence in doing my quote and make it a lot quicker. Thanks
12 votesHi Mark, as cost price of items can change over time, if you often associate specific items you're selling to sales you make to your customers perhaps Billable expenses?
When you add the expenses to your customers invoice this will bring across the cost price of the items you've assigned.

Xero Expenses - Show original currency + currency amount
Have the original currency + amount available as field options in the Reports section, so I can run an expense details report and see both the original currency and the GBP.
The use case here is that we have US people using Xero Expenses who need paying in USD. I have to go into each expense item to manually write down the USD value and the add it up to pay. It's properly daft when I know the currency amount is there. And we can't enter it as a bill because they are using Xero expenses.

Invoice reminders - Ability to change invoice reminder to different email address
Some larger companies with automated systems do not want reminders going to the same email address that the invoices go to. Doing this results in a duplicate invoice going into their system, which stops the payment going through as they then need to manually sort out what's going on. They have one email address for the invoice and another for reminders, to avoid that duplication.
Currently, we need to leave the email address on the contact, then turn off invoice reminders and make a note to manually send reminders.52 votes -

72 votesHi team, appreciate the feedback here and it appears there are 2 differing ideas being bought up here. This idea was originally started relating to the invoice branding theme. Being open, while we will look at improvements to invoice templates down the line this isn't planned just yet.
More recent conversation appears to be related to the new invoicing send modal and formatting of emails sent from Xero. We have a slightly different idea those who are interested in this can join and you'll see I recently updated - While the tool bar has been removed from the send window, you can still use html tags to format and preview how these look in your email.

Would like to have due date for individual lines on Bills.

UK Timesheets: Shortcut to previous timesheet period
When entering the weekly timesheet for employees (they complete it on a sheet and I enter last week's hours on Xero), you have to go back to Timesheets where it shows this week's timesheet and you have to scroll down to last week.
Please can Xero create a path at the top where you can click on the timesheet week you are working on? At the moment you can only click on the blue 'Timesheets' which take you back to this week and not last week or the week you working on.

Dashboard | Customise Cash in and out - Include Transfers
Currently the "Total Cash In and Out graph" on dashboard shows the total cash received and the total cash spent through all of the bank accounts in Xero. This graph excludes transfers between bank accounts as don't they affect the overall total.
It would be nice to be able to customize that graph to exclude certain transactions. Ie. if a shareholder loan is made, this would show up as cash in.

Expenses - Option to include employee's expenses on customer's invoices
Most businesses have their employees incur expenses, such as mileage, which are chargeable to their clients. This means that the expenses need to both be added to invoices to clients and paid back to employees. This should really be done by simply getting employees to submit their expenses using, for example Hubdoc. However, at the moment, the systems available allow to to only one of the 2 things described above thus creating a lot of unnecessary admin work and potential inconsistencies between what has been charged to clients and what has been paid to employees.

Account Transactions - Add a description to a Batch Deposit
It would be really great if we could add a description to a Batch Deposit, instead of it coming up automatically as "Payment: multiple items"

Projects: Allocate to projects when bulk importing invoices
The Xero bulk invoice import template makes provision to allow for the population of data into the available tracking categories that would correspond to same inside Xero. However, is it possible to do same with a project? Xero have since confirmed it is not possible to include project allocations when importing invoices.
We have a high frequent need to import bulk lines of data each representing individual invoices, and we wish to use Xero projects, but need to be able to allocate the bulk upload of these invoices to the applicable projects inside Xero.

NZ Payroll: Set number of pay cycles for recurring payroll deductions
I need to be able to set a number of pays for recurring payroll deductions.
For example; my employee buys a laptop under salary sacrifice and wants to pay it back over a specified number of pay cycles.
At the moment I need to track this manually to ensure that the deduction is removed at the right time. It would be great if the software could do this for me.18 votes -
Projects - Ability to favourite and show in Projects menu
Projects - it would be really helpful if we could select Projects as favourites (with the star like in reports) so when we click on the Projects heading we see our favourites in the drop down list, like we do with reports we use frequently. See image for example.

NZ GST - Increase size of the current period button
Rather than the very small, blue writing to preview a current GST period, can this please be bigger and a button.
A lot of clients do not know this feature is in the GST Return area as its too small to find easily and previewing the current return is useful for businesses to know what their current result is looking like, especially if they are using this feature for cashflow/GST saving.1 vote
