  1. When I add a Task to a project I would like to add a Task Title trhen have a seperate section to Describe the task detail. At the moment there is insufficient space for this information.

  2. Ability to restrict the 2nd category tracker to a 1st category item.

    Eg - Category 1 is the property, Category 2 is the tenant.

    When we have multiple properties in an entity it would be great to be able to restrict tenant category to only relate to the 1 property that the tenants are for. This would help to stop a mis-match of property/tenant.

The online invoice sent to customer (not the PDF) and invoice in Xero only show the Item description and not the Item name or Code, this is not right as it means if we add personal details to the item on the invoice it isn't possible to tell what the item is without doubling up the Name in the Item description

  6. Set up leave so that it automatically tops up at the start of the year with a set amount.
    I have an employee that has an arrangement of xhours per years to be used as they wish. At the start of each year this reverts back to the agreed hours. Any hours not taken during the previous year is cleared.

  7. with the new functionality of adding start end times and notes, we are not able to print or download this data in any reporting. the only way we can SEE this info is in the individual timesheet by person.
    If you can update the report to include all information that would be useful as the current process is only half done.

  8. Please give us the option to split the base rate and casual loading items WHILE working with a timesheet. At the moment this has be manually done in every pay run if we want to show the loading separately.

  9. To quickly get to your most recently reconciled transaction/s (to quickly correct errors that you see as you press OK while reconciling), click the search bar and have the most recently reconciled transactions linked there ready to go.
    Instead of having to go through the bank statement or account transactions and then locate the transaction that needs updating

  10. This column is useful but could be improved.

    As already noted in another existing idea, it would be good if there was a way to indicate whether the discount is per-item or for the line. As it stands, if there is a count, then to emulate a dollar discount on each item, we have to manually calculate the total discount for the line (number * $ discount) to enter the appropriate line value.

    The percentage discount option is good also (as it avoids the above problem with specifying an absolute amount). However, it has a different problem in that the…

  11. Link the data already on file in the Pay Templates directly to the Employees Time sheet. Or at least remove the ability for Employees to view ALL pay items on their time sheet. This creates friction among Employees and angst re different levels that they may not be on. Despite the fact they can't see a dollar amount. Even if I need to create a new Time Sheet Template as long as ALL pay item are hidden on the time sheet from the Employee point of view. Seems an easy fix. get it done please.

  12. I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.

  14. Show mandate status and progress: In Sage one of the Customer fields is their mandate status. You can see when the mandate was sent, whether it has been submitted, is being processed, is now active or has been cancelled. These are crucial for us. We are finding it very hard to get even a couple of mandates set up due to the way that first invoices are processed (on their invoice date rather than as soon after as practical).   16. When raising client invoices, it would be good to be able to submit the invoice to a Manager for approval.
    When processing supplier bills, it would be good to be able to submit the bill to a Manager for approval of payment of that expense.
    In both cases, this would mean that approval details of "who" and "when" would be noted in the History of the invoice/bill without needing to attach a file showing the approval or tracking this outside of the system.

  17. A common problem importing bank files is the reversal of Debits and Credits. This is especially common with Credit Cards.

    The "fix" that Xero recommend is to modify the file with a spreadsheet editor. This is only possible with CSV files and is error prone.

    A setting to reverse credits and debits when importing bank files would be immensely useful when your credit card provider statement has it's debits and credits reversed.

    Or maybe allow a bank to be treated as a Liability?

    Hi all, returning to the idea here I wanted to provide an update in light of recent communications you may have received - We’re making some changes to Global Pay Run to help you manage your payroll more effectively;

    - From 23 July 2025 Global Pay Run will become read-only. You'll still be able to see all your past payroll information, however you will not be able to process any new pay runs after this date. 

    - Global Pay run will be retired after April 2026, at which point you'll no longer be able to access pay run. 

    This also means that we will not be making any more updates to our Global Pay Run product, and I'll move this idea to Not planned.

    Between now and 23 July, as mentioned in my last post the best option here would be to use a pre printed letterhead to print…
