Instalment Activity Statement: Ability to add cover letter
Instalment Activity Statement - It would be good if you could add a template cover letter for quarterly instalment activity statements. I receive phone calls from client asking why they are required to lodge a BAS as the current AS cover letter is confusing and docent distinguish between the different statements.

Customer Statements - Ability to choose invoices
Send Statements, Outstanding, Select Date.
We want to send statements to our clients for invoices that are 30 days overdue - so if I put in the 28th February 2022, Xero brings up a list of all overdue invoices as at that date however some of those invoices have been paid so if I send out the 'Activity Statement' its not a true record of the invoices outstanding.
I would like Xero to change this so that you can either click on each invoice you want to send out ie the ones that haven't been paid or Xero only shows…

Depreciation Schedule - Add Page breaks
Page breaks in the depreciation schedule would be great, would allow more flexibility and be in line with the other reports

AU Tax: Pay the ATO directly from the Activity Statement page
The ability to pay the ATO automatically from Xero would be a really handy feature. Similar to the automatic super payment, this would be a huge time saver.

Fixed Asset - Change behaviour when adjusting useful life of an asset
Have the FAr work correctly when changing the useful life of an Asset Class - it does not do so currently. This is based on the following research.....
I have done the following in the Demo company (which has a Year End of the 31st March):
- Posted an asset worth £6,300 on the 1st Jan 22 with a depn rate of 10%, resulting in a Depn charge to the P&L of £52.50 pcm
- Posted an asset worth £1,969.99 on the 1st Apr 22 with a depn rate of 10%, resulting in a Depn charge to the P&L of £16.42 pcm

Branding - Invoice merge field for contact's payment terms
Having recently created a custom invoice template for our business I wanted to include a merge field for payment terms (e.g. "30 days form date of invoice") next to the invoice due date field. Unfortunately customer payment terms, even though a data field in the contact record, is not available to incorporate in a customer invoice template. In my opinion this would be a useful addition to the custom invoice functionality.

Reconciliation: Automatically Find and Match items suitable for suspense accounts
automatically code items suitable for suspense accounts
when there's a debit and credit by the same provider - suggest to move to 850 suspsense account - provide explanation. accountants understand this - and it reflects spending and returning items - or rebates - and if you do this 1000 times - for products that cost $1000 each - the tax man will correctly give you totals to pay - and gst rebates -
if you incorrectly match to sales / expenses - then it could be way off.1 vote -
Search / Filter & Sort on previous screens when returning
When returning to a previous screen in xero ensure that it includes all search / filter and sort options applied at the time you originally navigated away from that screen.
When you need to look through many transactions from a search, going back and having to re-search every time is very time consuming.

Bills - Bill template that includes legal tax invoice
In our business we make use of the bill feature to create a legal tax invoice on behalf of our suppliers and currently the Bills don't give me a legal tax invoice?
Can we get a Bill template created that give us a legal tax invoice made out on behalf of the Supplier for the Supplier? Its called selfbilling and is a feature that is critical to our business as the Supplier dont always know what to invoice and we do this on their behalf and this has been legally agreed with the tax authorities.

Reporting | Tracking - Ability to select all when you search
When using the search function to filter reports, the "Select All" function disappears - it would be very helpful to have this function available whether using the search. Attached for demo.

Sales overview - Add a Sent column onto the Draft tab
1) When creating a draft invoice, and draft invoice is emailed out, it would be good to see from the 'home' page in the 'draft' folder, which invoices have been emailed. This could simply be an icon of an envelope, for example, that shows on the right hand side when the invoice has been emailed (yes even in draft form).
2) When viewing an invoice, a 'previous/back' and 'next' button to move to the next sequential invoice number (either forward or back) would be great, rather than having to back to 'draft' or 'awaiting payment' folder and then selecting next…6 votesHi Katrina, coming back across your idea here I notice there are 2 distinct ideas wrapped into the one.
We try to keep one idea per thread to make it clear for others to know what they're voting for and be able to share this information back with our product teams.
When you say next and back buttons - would this be when only viewing an invoice (not taking any action)? Reason being, is that there are Save and Approve options from the drop down that'd allow you to move onto the next invoice in the list or add a new one - More detail on this here
I'll slightly adjust the title here to reflect your first idea, but are welcome to start another if the current approve and next options are sufficient and we can get a feel for the interest around that separately.

Batch Payments - Use cursor arrows to navigate and edit
Currently when editing a batch payment we can only tab across to the next cell, it would be good if we can use the arrow keys to move around and edit instead of using your mouse to get to the cell below, or the previous cell etc.
5 votesWe appreciate how this could be more intuitive. To confirm how this currently works - Within the body of a batch payment you can use Tab to navigate forward through cells, pressing Enter will enable you to edit the cell and then pressing Enter again will confirm the cells contents(highlighted).
When the cell is highlighted you'll be able to use the keyboard arrow keys to navigate up, down and across within the body of your batch payment.

Cash summary - Edit name of account
Cash Summary
The new cash summary report is pulling through the Reporting Name instead of the Name for income and expenses, as a result the Cash Summary doesn't read well e.g. Interest paid we have usually changed the Reporting Name to just the bank name only as in our financial statement formats it appears under the Interest heading so 'Interest" had been roved in the report name, So in the report it just shows as Bank Name but doesn't say that it is interest. The Old Cash Summary report is preferrable.2 votes -
Xero organisation | Org settings - Customise text to black or bold
Please add ability to make type face in the Xero account transactions screen black or more bold. An elderly user has asked me to post this request. The light type face is difficult to see. They are managing all other aspects of Xero so would be great if this option could be added.

AU Payroll - Director allowance remuneration report
Now that directors fees are considered allowances, they don't show up in the employee remuneration report because that is for OTE only.
I would greatly appreciate being able to include directors on the remuneration report because the board asks for total remuneration on a monthly basis.6 votes -
Batch deposit - Import to create batch deposit
I would like to be able to Import a file from a spreadsheet for a bank deposit received. We currently receive 1 bank deposit which will pay 200 invoices over 10 Sales Accounts.
We currently Import a Spreadsheet file to upload our sales invoices.
I would like to be able to Import a Spreadsheet file to upload the bank deposit received for 200 plus invoices, this would save a lot of manually typing invoice numbers in when processing the Deposit in XERO.1 vote -
Invoice Reminders - Ability to pause and resume
Have a function that allows Invoice Reminders to be paused over holiday periods (to prevent clients receiving invoice reminders on Christmas Day, Easter etc). Would delay the reminders sending them out after the "holiday" dates had lapsed.
