  1. Have an "Ask" type of function within the business subscription to securely collect new Customer and new Supplier information when creating a new Contact. Particularly keen to be able to collect Bank Account details securely without needing to risk email communication of same. This feature would also ensure better accuracy of contact details and spelling of names.

  2. Email template - option for insert placeholder for GST exclusive amount ('Subtotal' amount).
    At the moment, I can only do the Total amount, which includes GST.

    When you enter expenses under projects, a date is required. We would like that date to appear on the invoices.

  4. Generally working in Xero is very efficient. However, when paying approved expense claims (and recording the payment) I have to constantly switch between keyboard to type in the payment amount (which is displayed in a cell above) and the mouse to select the payment date and payment account. I can't imagine a scenario when the amount paid is not the amount approved. Why is this cell not pre-populated with the approved amount? If it was it would halve the time it would take me to register payments against expense claims.

  5. I need CN and (over)payment allocation lines in Account Transactions to be supplemented by invoice number as unique document number. Currently, there is a link through Reference, but Reference might not be unique entry, and so tracking credit note allocation is not impossible. Thanks.

  6. Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
    Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.

  8. When amending the email which is sent when sending an invoice, I sometimes accidentally touch the screen, causing the screen to swipe down, losing the message. If you swipe down on the email, could this not be saved as a draft with the draft invoice, so I don’t have to start again?

    Is there a specific inventory report you'd find this most useful in? 

    Being open we don't have immediate plans for adding this filter into the reports, but it'd be good to get this detail that could be shared back with the team when considered. 

  10. I need the option to auto reverse repeating journals to be available. This is neccessary for accruals.
    Auto reverse is available on regular journals but not repeating.

  11. In the old reports, once the account was added to a subgroup, the account code would automatically be in alphabetical order. However, this is manual for the new reporting.

    A good function would be to automate this in the new reports as well (per the old reports) rather than dragging and dropping manually.

  12. Xero Projects Reporting - fixed charges to be included in Charge Amount column

    We use Xero Projects in our accounting practice to track time / costs for client billing. We have some clients who are on fixed monthly charges (e.g. $1,000 per month). When viewing the Xero Projects reports to track performance for the month so far, the fixed charges do not appear in the Charge Amount column. It would be beneficial if the fixed charges appears in the Charge Amount column, given they will be charged.

  13. Turn off the mileage claims option in the Expense Settings .. currently one cannot do this ... we have never used this option, and it's a pain when we use the Xero expenses app as it adds another layer to inputting an expense.

  14. In the classic invoicing, when I am approving my invoices draft then I click "Approve and view next", it goes in the next invoice subsequent number.

    In the new invoicing version, when I click on "Approve and view next", it goes directly to the last invoice number instead of the next one. I have a lot of drafts to approve and it has to be in the right order.

    For this reason, I stay with the classing invoicing. I might consider switching back to new invoicing if this issue can be resolve in the future.

  15. The ability to set a default date range for the tax report in Xero.

    Would love the option to have default to previous month. It's an annoyance to have to set the beginning and ending time each time the report is run.

    Thanks for your idea, Joe. To better understand the use case and maybe help others who'd be after the same connect with your idea here - Are there any scenarios or situations you generally find when viewing a contact and wanting to view the very next or last contact in a list? 

  18. I create new contacts all the time, often while creating an invoice. I usually only have a few details on hand to start creating the contact (name, email, phone number). So I flick between windows, copying from one and pasting into Xero's "create new customer" dialogue right there on the invoice edit screen.

    It's the phone number I have the most trouble with. If there are any space characters in the (usually mobile) phone number I have copied - and there pretty much always are spaces when copying from an email or whatever - then nothing will paste into the…

  19. For the bill want 2 dates: one is the bill date, and one is the transaction date. we normally received the bills in the next month...if one date will affect the cost (as construction, use WIP), will be confused....

    Hi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on on this idea.
