Invoices: Bulk update invoice all lines
It would be extremely helpful to have a 'master' input at the top of each column of a quote / invoice / bill etc so that the master input is then auto-populated under that column heading for all line-items of the quote / invoice / bill.

Projects - Assigning an expense to an estimated expense, and the basis for 'What you'll charge'
When editing an assigned expense in the project module, there are four options for 'What you'll charge': % markup, pass cost on, custom price and non-chargeable.
I think there should be a fifth option.
In the instance where the expense is to be tracked to an estimated expense (ie field 2 is completed), there should be the possibility of linking to the 'What you'll charge' amount that is already prepopulated into the associated estimated expense.
This would save a lot of time repeating steps.

Improve security of printed checks by adding leading and trailing asterisks to amount fields.
Example $150.99***** and one-hundred fifty and 99/100****** dollars
Makes alteration of amounts more difficult.

Chart of Accounts: Standard Canadian numbering
I have noticed that automatic numbering of accounts is different that what is general used in Canada. There should be a very clear option when starting a new Xero account to select Canadian numbering and an option to change the numbering to Canadian. For Example, in Canada, Assets start with 1, Liabilities start with 2, Equity start with 3, Revenue start with 4, Cost of Sales start with 5, Expenses start with 6,etc... Account Transactions - Option to archive old transactions
Archive bank transactions so you can only see for example, from the start of that financial year or the start of the year you are in. Currently we can see all transactions from when we started to use XERO in 2021.

Payable invoice detail report & Detailed time report.3 votesIt's not possible to directly combine reports in Xero, however it'd be good to better understand your needs here to determine if there is something that can work for what you're after.
Right now, you can use the Blank report to create a custom report of your own, or you could look to create a Management report pack where you can select multiple reports in Xero create a single pack of these together.

Sales invoice | History - Show I.P. Address with date & time viewed
When a client opens an invoice or quote Xero shows the IP address of whom ever opened it and the time it was opened. This is especially helpful when multiple people have access to the invoices. It also shows that the client did in fact see the invoice especially when they claim they haven't. Handy tool for chasing payment

Reporting - Ability to have percentage of completion as accounting method (AU construction)
To include different accounting method for construction company.
We are using PCM method for our accounting in which our revenue and expenses recognized are based on the project's progress. Our project work done percentage is based on the costs incurred and the revenue and cost of sales are based on the work done percentage.

UK Payroll - Download and send reports
Hi there,
I am using payroll manager currently for all my client payroll services, and xero does not provide reports like HMRC monthly payment, P32, I can see it but can not download it to send to my client for payment. Also no employee wage report whereby my client see all deductions/additions and pay net wage to all staffs.
Please check this software https://moneysoft.co.uk/payroll-manager-overview/ this is far best software so far and probably all accounting practices are using it because its user friendly and provide too comprehensive report to clients and employer

Payable Invoice Details report - Option to display bank details
Need option to display supplier bank details when running the supplier payments bank report. Key for bank approvers to easily verify bank details for supplier payments.

Contacts - Search description across customer activity for products sold
Would it be possible to have the ability to search on a customers account for individual products that have been previously sold to them? We have customers that purchase various products from us and sometimes it will be months between each purchase. I have to open every invoice to see if the item is on there. Even if there was an update on the Products & Services page to list the products sold to each customer, I think it would help.
6 votesCurrently there are a couple of options for some here such as using Smart Lists to run a search to view all customers that have bought a certain item within a period.
Alternatively, you can run Inventory Item Details or Receivable Invoice Details reports could be useful where you can filter by a specific contact, item and/or description to understand what items and quantities of those items that have been bought by a contact with the in the timeframe of the report.
However if you'd like to see this option direct within the contact record, add your support to the idea here and we'll get a better sense of overall interest. 🙂

Xero Expenses - The ability (like with bills) to forward an email invoice to Xero and it to be automatically added to your Xero expenses app.

UK Payroll: Hide RTI User ID in payroll settings
When using Xero Payroll as an agent it would be better to be able to hide the agents Govt Gateway ID as well as the password. Could it be updated so that when you tick that you are submitting as an agent, both parts are hidden from the client?

Quotes - Ability to request signature
Instead of having the client simply click on "Accept" quote, they should be prompted to actually digitally sign the quote. If there is for example two people as the contact, then both of these owners need to sign the quote for it to be accepted.

While this isn't something we have planned at present, perhaps you could make use of an advanced branding template and specifying the need for a signature via the Quotes terms and conditions?

New Invoicing | Copy to - Purchase order
When a selecting the new invoicing platform, you lose certain functions.
The first function that has been lost is the ability to copy invoice data to a purchase order - this feature needs to added to the new platform as some business use this to purchase items that have been sold from a supplier and makes sure there are no errors.
The second function is when invoicing from Project the time entered for that project is no longer being allocated to an invoice and showing in the project as not invoiced, this will cause doubling up on billing.125 votesHi community, I'm pleased to share with you that the Product team are investigating the first part of this idea - to copy invoice data to a purchase order in new invoicing. As for the second function raised here, when you raise an invoice from Projects that includes tasks, time entries or expenses, if you change the project field on new invoicing the connection with Projects will be removed. To correct this, you can either void/delete the invoice and recreate it from the project or manually mark the time entry/task/cost as invoiced.

Payable Invoice report - Auto update results when transactions listed in date range report is run
When viewing reports ( e.g. transactions reports) if you change the date range of the report after you have looked at the transactions for a particular date range , the report comes up with "nothing to show" so you have to close it and reopen the report with the different dates - it's annoying and time consuming.

If you have transactions entered in your org for the dates the report is being run this should be reflected in your report results.

Projects - Connect and sync with Xero Me
It would be excellent if employees could add the time used in a project to their timesheet via Xero Me.
They have the assign project/s showing in their timesheet where they can add the hours used on it.
For example:
Monday
Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 4.5h
Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 3hTuesday
Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 7.5hWednesday
Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 5h
Ordinary hours- Cloud avenue project 2.5hAnd so on. Then of there is overtime they could add that as same way then the ordinary hours.
