  2. Allow Xero users permission to authorise employee timesheets. At the moment only the payroll administrator or specific employee has the ability to do this. Payroll permissions under settings/users should be expanded to be more granular, with an option to allow users permission to authorise timesheets. Alternatively, under the employee details in Payroll, an option to select authorised Xero users whom may sign off timesheets for that user.

  3. Timesheet entry for hours in previous payrun. This allows employees who missed an timesheet entry to add their hours in . Quickbooks has this ability and it saves the employer from having to do a manual entry on the employees behalf.

  4. When invoicing, there is a drop down arrow/menu next to the "Print PDF" button, where you can select 'Invoice' or 'Packing Slip'.

    We need this feature to be available in the quote for printing a picking slip / delivery docket.

    Is it possible to add this functionality?

    Thanks for raising and supporting the idea here, community. Being open this isn't something we're looking to develop into Quotes for the time being. However, if needed you could have two branding themes, with a different Quote template: one for the quote itself, and one for a packing slip.

    You could then edit the quote, and switch the branding theme to the one you want to send out.

  5. The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.

    Hi community, in lieu of having a direct feature for this I wanted to highlight the option shared earlier on in this thread (Thanks Peter!) for those it may help.

    As mentioned, currently you could enter a separate line on the invoice, with a negative amount for the retention value, and code this to a 'customer retentions' account in the Balance Sheet. You could also add a comment in the Description field, indicating the cumulative retention value.

    The Account Transactions Report can then be used to manage the values being carried forward. 

    Being open, this isn't something we have planned for development at this time, however we'll continue to gather the interest here, and if there's any changes we'll let you know.

    Appreciate the interest shown on the idea here, everyone. Atm, we don't have any plans for adding a specific field for a Contact / Business Registered name. 

    While not a perfect solution as another user has shared, perhaps adding the name to the contact's address field could help surface this detail where required at present. 

    We'll continue to gauge interest in this, and share if there are any updates. 

  8. Find & Match function under Bank Reconciliation only allows to search for individual invoices to then pick invoices one by one. Please introduce the option to enter multiple invoices in the search field using a delimiter to then pick multiple invoices to reconcile. This would improve the reconciliation process materially.

  9. When in account transactions (or any report where you can select a date range) have a button to move that date range one month forwards or one month back.

    For example if you have the date range selected as 01.08.2022-31.08.2022 have a backwards button that would change this automatically to 01.07.2022- 31.07.2022 or a forwards button that would change this to 01.09.2022-30.09.2022 without having to go in and manually change the date to every month.

    This would be very helpful when doing detailed reconciliations on a monthly basis so you can move between the months much quicker. I know you…

Change the permissions required to connect apps, most importantly the Pipedrive app. Since currently Pipedrive users (sales people) are required to have full access to Xero in order to connect and use the integration. We can't give our sales team full access to our accounts due to sensitive transaction details and salaries contained in Xero as you would expect.

  15. Lock dates should be on main dashboard for Advisors. The setting is buried three layers deep when it needs to be preferable on the main dashboard taskbar. It is very annoying when there you have a client with Advisor privileges who also likes to make backdated changes. Either the lock date option should on main dashboard or allow journals to be outside of the lock.

  16. Hi Xero,
    could you please add a tick box button TPAR reportable in Supplier Contact - when adding new Supplier to have there option to tick "TPAR reportable"?
    It would really help with ATO reporting when working with high volume of Suppliers/Contractors.
    Atm Xero does not have a tab to differentiate between Supplier providing material only and Supplier/Contractor providing service, labour on which we need to file TPAR every year and within a year we are taking on numerous new contractors.

  17. It would be great if the Reference field was moved to the body of the sales invoice so that you could add item line referencing with the option to enable the referencing to print on the sales invoice.

    For example, a plumbing business completes work for a customer that has multiple rental properties. If the reference field was in the body of the sales invoice, they could add the applicable property address here so that they and the customer could differentiate what work was completed at each property for the invoiced period.

  18. It would be nice when entering transactions, for the date field to remain as the last entered date, at least while staying on the transaction page. It is frustrating having to enter the date each and every time when entering transactions. I understand a lot of people are working in there, in real time, and that it is beneficial that the date is always "todays" date, however, when entering stuff for a client from the previous month, this gets annoying.

  19. It is currently not possible to change the exchange rate used in the new invoicing screen, when invoicing in a foreign currency. You have to switch back to classic invoicing to correct it to the monthly rate we have entered in settings.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the need for our customers that send invoices in foreign currency to be able to edit the exchange rate within new invoicing.

    Our product team are working on this capability at present and we hope to have it with you all in the coming weeks.

  20. I would like to have clients phone numbers included when saving a CSV Export of Invoices. This feature is unavailable, though all other client data such as name, address and email gets exported.

    I need to be able to track my clients 6 monthly and 12 monthly and send them SMS and this is the easiest way to access invoice dates and client data in a CSV file.

    I find it very strange the phone data column was not included and hasn't been requested until now.
