  1. There should be an option to add the Tracking categories in the automatic fees from the Payment services such as Paypal, Stripe, etc. This is a small update but can save a lot of time in EOM processes so we do not need to do Find and Recode at the month-end for these transactions.

  2. In our business we make use of the bill feature to create a legal tax invoice on behalf of our suppliers and currently the Bills don't give me a legal tax invoice?

    Can we get a Bill template created that give us a legal tax invoice made out on behalf of the Supplier for the Supplier? Its called selfbilling and is a feature that is critical to our business as the Supplier dont always know what to invoice and we do this on their behalf and this has been legally agreed with the tax authorities.

  3. Could you please look at making the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
    This will allow the invoices raised in Xero Practice Manager to be sent to Xero and then sent in Bulk (email multiple clients from awaiting payment) rather than selecting it manually. This will save a lot of time and also allow the other side to receive the invoice in their system.
    Currently what it is doing is getting us to go into the invoice and then manually toggle this for clients we know are setup for e-invoicing. If this is handle automatically it will achieve its true purpose.

  4. Ability to partially reconcile a statement line to one invoice and leave the rest of the payment unreconciled until the details needed for reconciliation are received, instead of posting an overpayment.

  7. Would love to see the option to assign an expense approver to multiple expense submitters or even an 'Approvalmax' approver matrix function added to Xero Expenses. Currently using Xero Expenses to administer over 100 employees expenses and need stronger controls than central finance approving all. Happy to help design/ test!

  8. At the moment when entering a bill from a new supplier I can only enter the name of the supplier in the bill, then go into contacts to add their details.

    It would be more convenient if there was a button to add contact as new, and have a pop-up page where I can add more details of those suppliers from bill page.

    Sometimes when working through many invoices from new suppliers it's hard to remember which contacts need to be revisited to add details especially contact details and bank details for batch payments.

Currently there is no easy way to review the on/off status of invoice reminders for Customer unless they have an outstanding balance, and even then this is only on screen and not exportable, so either a way to filter the Customer list for those which have invoice reminders turned off, or just a report that can be run with a column for the reminders status (on/off and number of reminder sent) would be useful for better credit control review.

  12. Please can we have the option to opt an employee out before running a pay run? It is a bit annoying to have to then refund deductions the following month and employees question it as they think they have opted out!

  13. When entering an expense claim you can only assign it to a supplier if you paid with company money. If you pay with personnel money the supplier field is only free text and doesn't list suppliers to choose from.

    I would like it so that we can search for suppliers and see everything that has been purchased from them no matter if it was paid directly to them or from one of our team members' back pocket.

    Thanks for sharing and supporting this idea - while I don't have an update specific to this idea, I thought you might be interested in the following:

    Our AU Payroll team are testing some changes to Payroll reconciliation. The idea to create an AU payroll reporting pack is highly associated with payroll reconciliation and we feel that voters here would also have an interest in payroll reconciliation. They would love to hear from you!

    They’re aiming to conduct some 1 on 1 interviews between 6 Feb - 16 Feb 2024, the interviews will last 45 minutes.

    The purpose of the session: Participants will be asked to help with testing a prototype concept designed to enhance the AU payroll reconciliation process.

    They aim to discover:

  16. Would be great if you could pay the IRD PAYE when you pay the employees in the same payroll batch. This is already a function with Flexitime Payhero and doesn’t rely on staff making the IRD PAYE payment manually. If Xero had this function there would never be any late IRD PAYE payments as its getting paid to IRD when the employees are paid.

  17. Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts, perhaps with a tick box to show or hide the archived accounts. It makes the job of customising layouts so tedious when the old messy chart of accounts come up every time and you can’t hide the archived accounts!

  18. We need to be able to send reminder letters through Xero but as and when, and to all customers, not just those that have fallen overdue since turning on the function. We have just migrated and have to go through each account and send an email outside of Xero to chase these so therefore no audit trail. This seems a key feature which is missing and easy to implement.

    Appreciate you raising the idea, Emma. To round back and confirm current functionality - If needing to send emails for invoices to multiple customers at once you could use the email feature from the contacts list view - See our Xero central article for detail on this. 

    If it's something you'd commonly do you may like this article in helping you set up email templates where you could create and save a custom template that you'd use when sending an overdue invoice. 

    It'd be good to hear if there is detail that this method doesn't help you resolve, that we can share back with our product team. 

  19. We need the ability to search by reference within Account Transactions. The new search bar in the top appears to search reference fields, but not the search field under Account Transactions.

    Thanks for all the feedback and detail on your needs in the idea here. As you'll see from each others comments there are different points at which businesses would want to be automating this process. Not really a one size fits all approach. 

    As noted in recent comments, we recently made a change for new invoicing flow where (like classic) you can now choose to Send receipt from the payment confirmation that's shown once you apply a payment to an invoice. 

    At this time we don't have plans for automating this flow however we're still attuned to the idea here and will be sure to share if there are any plans made toward this in the future.
