  1. AU There was a discrepancy between GST ac balance at EOQ on the Balance Sheet & the GST refund for the end of quarter BAS. Using the GST Reconciliation report would be a lot more helpful if the Filed Amounts could actually be saved and continuously show the correct unfiled running balance amount and the section "GST Account Summary " for unfiled GST was actually correct as a cumulative balance.     Thank you for your candid feedback and engagement on this idea. The good news is we're actively working on a complete rebuild of this report on our new reporting platform ✨. This project is a top priority and is specifically designed to solve the issues you've raised. The new report will automatically pull in filed return amounts, allow you to drill down into transactions, and always show a correct, cumulative unfiled balance. We're in the development phase, and we’re also actively gathering feedback on the ability to make manual adjustments in the new report, which we know is a critical requirement.   2. 1st) I suggest on embedding the Validated QR code to the normal PDF invoice so that we can print multiple invoices at one go and our normal PDF invoice also consists of banking details and credit terms whereas the Validated E-Invoicing has none of these.

    2nd) I suggest on putting "Send to MyInvois" button instead of copy and paste the e-mail MyInvois@invoi.ci for every invoice. This is too troublesome.

    3rd) Regarding the Invoice interface on the Sent Column, perhaps can Xero make it into two instead? One is for the Validated E-Invoicing & the other one is for customer. The…

  3. There are times I want to create several invoices within a group, but not the whole group. For example, in the Equine Lessons Group, there are contacts who take private lessons, group lessons, and/or homeschool lessons. Each contact may also be at a different skill level, therefore a different class. I would like to be able to select which contacts to invoice for Level 1 Homeschool Lesson, or for Level 3 Homeschool Lesson, or even Equine First Aid, depending on who, when , and what course is being taken.

  4. It would save numerous steps if:

    When a new account is created from within a transaction (for instance spend money or journal entry) the option to add a reporting name was available, instead of having to update later through the chart of chart of accounts.

    When creating a new account, through the chart of accounts or elsewhere, that the Report Code mapping category could be allocated at the same time.

    Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your feedback and support on this idea!

    We know that sometimes you need to create a new account on the go—like when you’re right in the middle of entering a spend money transaction or a journal. But at the moment, you can’t create a new COA account then and there.

    The current workaround is to create the account first from the Chart of Accounts before doing your actual task. While that gets the job done, we understand it’s not the most efficient way to work, especially when you’re trying to keep momentum.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. We’re keeping an eye on how much interest it’s getting, and your votes and comments help show the value this would bring to your day-to-day.


  5. Currently, Xero automatically assigns holiday leave to the pay period in which it falls. However, for businesses with a different pay schedule within the tax periods, (e.g., a financial period running from the 6th to the 5th of the month), such as cut off being the 28th of the previous month and paying on the 5th of the month. this can cause confusion and misalignment in holiday pay processing. Employees may receive their holiday pay in a month that doesn’t align with the leave taken, leaving them out of pocket or causing administrative burdens.

    We appreciate you sharing your thoughts on how this would improve your payroll workflow. While this is not something we have plans to develop at this time, we will continue to use your feedback to help us shape the future of Xero Payroll. As noted by others in the idea, one option for now is to continue manually adjusting the leave hours for the correct pay period. We acknowledge this isn't an ideal solution, but it does allow you to correctly apply the leave across pay runs.

    Hey Jason, really appreciate you putting this idea forward. Getting a customer sign-off on project time entries just makes sense, it’s one of those things that can save a lot of hassle down the line.

    Having a built-in digital sign-off could bring extra clarity and confidence for both you and your customers, creating a clear record of approval before invoicing. It’s a simple step that could save time and build trust in your projects.

    At the moment, Xero Projects doesn’t offer a built-in way to collect customer signatures, but it’s clear this could be a helpful addition for many of you.

    Hi Peter, we get why being able to see the number of entries in the History and notes section at a glance would be helpful, especially when you're quickly checking for activity on an invoice.

    It might seem like a small change, but we can see how it would save time and make things just that bit easier when you're managing lots of transactions.

  8. On the Employee Contact Details report it would be great to have a column to show the termination date and reason for termination. Being able to sort by termination date range eg last quarter would be beneficial to assist with preparing the long service leave reports. The termination date and reason needs to be included in the report. Having a summary of the information from Xero would be beneficial for all.

  10. When using the new Check box. 'Use as billing address'. If you type in the address afterwards and edit the address. It deletes the the selected checkbox. 'use as billing address'

    Hey Steve, thanks for raising this idea around the ‘Use as billing address’ checkbox resetting when a contact is edited.

    Keeping the checkbox selected unless intentionally changed would make things quicker, easier, and less error-prone when updating contact details.

    We’ve now moved the idea into the Gaining Support stage. That means it’s open for votes and comments, and we’ll be keeping an eye on the demand as feedback comes in. The community input helps the team gauge what matters most to our users.

    Hi team, we appreciate interest in a specific annual CIS statement. While this isn't in our immediate plans right now you can run the CIS Contractor return for a custom date range.

    If you then select individual subcontractors and download this will be the annual statement.

  12. I’ve integrated Pabbly Connect with Xero to automatically create invoices. The workflow in Pabbly shows a successful execution, but not all invoices are actually being created in Xero.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Is there a way to debug what might be going wrong between the successful webhook execution and invoice creation in Xero?

    Additional Details:

    The webhook receives all required data including customer, line items, and invoice date.

    Pabbly workflow shows "Success" status after sending data to Xero.

    However, when I check Xero, some invoices are missing entirely.

    No error message is shown in Pabbly.

  13. Invoice Only User SHOULD have access to "send and print" feature once the Purchase Order were approved. To address this concern, a user should have an access level of Invoice Only + Purchases, however, changing the permission to this level, the inputs made by other users, which might be confidential and unnecessarily to be seen by others, are compromised. I would like to request to add this feature (send and print) for the Invoice Only users.

    We appreciate you taking the time to share and support this idea. We can see that this idea is already gaining traction amongst the community. Giving Invoice Only users the ability to send or print approved invoices has the potential to simplify your workflow and make day-to-day tasks more efficient.

    Enabling this functionality would allow the same users who create and approve invoices to also send or print them, reducing handovers and helping your business operate more smoothly. It’s a great example of how a small change can lead to better team autonomy.

    Currently, this action is available to users with Standard, Advisor, or Invoice Only – Approve & Pay roles. Expanding this to other Invoice Only roles, such as Draft, Sales, or Purchases could make Xero even more flexible for teams with clearly defined responsibilities.

  14. I've been using your Bill.com integration for the last couple of weeks and I already had to reach out to Xero support twice to make a simple change in Bill.com settings. This requires the user (me) to open a case in Xero which subsequently has Xero support open a case in Bill.com (and then Xero support going back and forth between Bill.com and the user).

    There should be either:

    1. a settings page within Xero for all the Bill.com settings and variables or,

    2. Ability to have credentials on Bill.com to update the Bill.com settings.

    Appreciate you submitting this idea, Neil. We've heard you loud and clear and understand how valuable it would be to manage your Bill.com integration settings directly within Xero.

    You've clearly highlighted how this functionality could streamline your workflow, improve efficiency, and help create a more seamless experience between Xero and Bill.com.

    At the moment, integration settings are managed from within the Bill.com platform. This idea presents an opportunity to enhance how the two systems work together, and it's something we're keen to explore further.

  15. Under the old invoicing, when an invoice was emailed to a client for the first time, the email address used for that first invoice automatically populated the Contact card's email address at the time the invoice was sent.
    This meant that if the invoice was unpaid, the reminder would be able to go to the same person who received the invoice.
    However the new invoicing doesn't automatically populate the Contact's email address.
    This means an extra step is needed to ensure the Contact card is updated.
    If this step isn't taken, then the automated reminders don't go out.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adding your vote to this idea! We totally get how important it is to keep your customer contact info accurate and up to date. An automatic update feature through invoicing sounds like a great way to save you some valuable time.

    Right now, if you send an invoice to an email that’s not already linked to a contact, you’ll need to add that email manually in Xero. The current setup is designed to be flexible so you can send invoices to multiple emails without changing the contact record. But we can definitely see how this feature would speed things up for you.

  16. After the customer accepts the quote, we need to book the work in. It doesn't get invoiced until the work is complete. It would be helpful if we could add an "Expected Start Date" to quotes after they've been accepted, or at least be able to mark it as "Booked".

  19. It would be nice to have a reminders function for Suppliers just like with Customers.

    We work with a very long list of Suppliers in some of our clients' companies. It could be a nice feature to have scheduled reminders go out to some suppliers that you always have to chase down for invoices/statements.

    Good to understand the needs of our different customers an that some times you may need to chase a supplier for an invoice, Lezelle.

  20. Make archiving and restoring contacts more intuitive and user-friendly.

    Option for archiving contacts should be select from drop-down menu or click on "the 3 dots" and select.

    Having to find an historical invoice allocated to an archived contact in order to restore them is super-unhelpful and counterintuitive. MUCH better to include archived contacts in Contacts options and include a "Restore" option via "press and hold", drop-down or the 3 dots.

    Hi Bradley, have you tried archiving and restoring contacts from the Contacts list? From here simply select the contact/s you'd like to archive and you'll see the option at the top of the list turn blue for you to click.

    When you'd like to restore a contact you'll find the Archive tab as an option from this same screen, where you can click on the contact to open it's record and there is a blue Restore option in the top right.
