  1. The "View all transactions" link from a specific product/service should display the Inventory items details report just for that specific product/service. Currently it shows all products and just for the current month. So really isn't doing what is implied in the link.

    Thanks for the feedback, Steve I've passed along your compliments to our support team too.

    Out of interest is there anything in particular you'd like to be able to download your support conversations for? e.g would you be wanting to share these somewhere else or file them somewhere to have on hand? This'd be great to share back with our team.

    For the time being, as you might've found (though a little manual) - you can copy & paste the detail of a support case internal an external document such as Google Docs or MS Word.

  3. We are forwarding inbound invoice emails to the Xero processing address, but, many suppliers send multiple copies (up to 5 or 6) saying "Invoice", "Invoice due in x -7 days", "Invoice due today", "Invoice paid", each with the invoice.

    Going through the duplicates screen is time consuming.

    Please make this easier for bulk actions:

    1) a keep this and delete others (in a group)
    2) a delete all (in a group) - sometimes we get statements or similar sent and right now we can delete the duplicates but have to go back to the invoice list to delete the original.

  4. OLD vs NEW XERO INVOICING

    Customer Name search - this is when adding customer name on customer/contact field when creating a new invoice

    In the old version, the dropdown displays the full hospital name along with the contact email address. However, the new version only shows a truncated name (around 26-30 characters) without the email address. It would be better to retain the old version feature for this especially when there are multiple contacts but different departments, as it was easier to find out whether correct department was chosen and not to make additional right click just to be sure…

  5. In the same way that there are tick boxes for "Exempt from PAYG withholding", "Exempt from SGC" & "Reportable as W1" on Pay Items, can we have a check box for Subject to or Exempt from PTX & Workers Compensation so that a report can be generated for Payroll Tax & Workers Compensation calculations.

It would be great if Xero Me would automatically blank out the approved leave, and public holiday hours, within an employee's timesheet (manually overwritable of course) so that they cannot (or are warned not to) double up their hours. e.g. they have annual leave approved, to have a Friday off, but they can also enter paid hours on their timesheet for that same Friday, thus enabling double pay for that day.

  7. Could we please add the 'Due Date' option to the Aged Receivables Summary Report. I love the simplicity of this report versus the Detailed report but unlike the detailed report, there is no option to add the due date.

    Thanks for the feedback, Jodi. When you say you'd like to add the Due date I'm guessing this would be as a column to the report? One thing that would make this tricky is where you have multiple due dates for a customer with multiple invoices in the period the reports being run - what date would you expect to show here?

  8. Just brought on a new client on Xero that runs large number of projects. At the moment, Xero does not provide a facility whereby we can bring forward opening blalances for ongoing projects.

  9. Report to see when a customer account was opened/set up. When conducting customer credit account reviews it would be handy if there was a report to see what date a customer account was set up. So you are only reviews accounts that have been opened for a year. At the moment the only way to see when an account was set up is to look at the notes/history on each individual account.

    Hi Eilish, is there are particular way your staff are recording how they bill customers through your Xero organisation atm? - e.g are you using Projects, or Tracking?

    As you noted there maybe a report that we an suggest that'll fully serve your needs in this here.

  11. The new Grow subscription only allowing for one employee is really tough for accountants operating in the micro-business space, as many of the small businesses that I have been working to get onto Xero are either married couples or two business partners who need exactly two payroll employees, with no intention to grow beyond that number.

    Having to jump from Grow to Comprehensive just to add a payroll user is prohibitive for a lot of my clients, and knowing that this is the case is stopping me from recommending Xero as a product where it would have been a no-brainer…

  13. Is there a way to edit the email template when invoicing to add a standard email address in the BCC field? by doing this Trustpilot gets the email details to send out reviews?? i cant find an option for this feature

    Hi Andrew, there's no way to set a default BCC email when sending from Xero atm. It may be something we look at in the future. For now, we'll begin to get a sense of the interest for this here. Thanks

  14. Add YTD figures for (recurring) reimbursements on an employee"s Payslip, such as non-reportable travel allowances (paid as reimbursements).

    I followed a Xero direction to process non-reportable travel allowances as reimbursements, as it ws creating discrepancies in our BAS (even though include in W1 was not checked).

    For an employee not to be able to see their total YTD renumeration on their payslip, including these reimbursements, is disappointing (particularly as it won't show on their EOFY payment summary).

  15. Limited Projects Users should be able to print a timesheet. Those who are subcontractors require their own records, and this saves duplication. Clients often require timesheets to be signed, and the person who entered the time is usually the best person to arrange this, however they cannot do so unless they can print their own timesheet.

  16. Please make the “Save Button” omnipresent, so it hovers/tracks the page and wherever the user is working, while building Quotes & Invoices...

    I keep having to scroll up to the very top of the page, in order to hit “Save” - and found when moving too fast, i can accidentally skip back, losing changes, and then having to start again.

  18. The current bill import functionality relies primarily on contact names for matching, which creates two significant problems:

    1. Unreliable Contact Matching

    • Contact names can change over time
    • Even minor differences (single character) result in creating new duplicate contacts
    • No fallback to more reliable identifiers

    2. Character Encoding Problems

    • Special characters (e.g., apostrophes in names like "O'Connor") cause import failures
    • This particularly affects common surnames and business names

    Proposed Solution

    Implement a hierarchical matching system for contacts during bill imports:

    1. First attempt: Match by account code
    2. Second attempt: Match by database ID
    3. Final fallback: Match by contact name

  19. I would like the option to remove the 'set up online payments' box whenever I create a new invoice. For companies like ours who are never going to use this function, it's irrelevant and takes up unnecessary space (we use invoice finance and our clients don't pay us directly). Could there be a toggle button in the settings to be able to switch this off?

  20. IDEA - CIS suffered report to calculate the CIS suffered correctly.

    ISSUE - If you apply a credit note to an invoice that has both CIS labour and CIS materials, Xero does not calculate the CIS suffered correctly. Even though the credit note is coded to the correct nominal code, Xero doesn't recognise this. This causes the CIS suffered report to reduce the deduction amount which is incorrect. This means the figure you submit to HMRC is lower than it should be. Meaning less of a refund of CIS suffered than it actually should be.
