  2. I am trying to archive legacy quotes - I have followed your instructions but when I highlight the selected quotes, there is no option button for archive?

    We want our quotes section to a more true reflection of the current business activity but at the same time do not want to have to delete legacy quotes. There is a need to archive similar to Inventory feature.

  3. I would love to see an integration with Zendesk to track time spent on tickets to be invoiced in Xero. I know this can by done with WorkflowMax but I don't want yet another app to deal with, it would be great to have this directly in Xero.

    Thanks to everyone that contributed and gave feedback to the teams survey that was shared in my last update.

    There was a lot of valuable insights that the team are able to take from this as they continue to plan whats next in invoicing.

    We understand and appreciate there are different flows for how our customers invoicing, and the timing of adding files can be dependent on these flows also.

    Our team are currently reviewing and exploring solutions to enable attachment of files to an invoice prior to the Contact. As soon as I have more news around this I'll be sure to share with you all through the idea here.

  5. Currently when you are viewing the GST Audit Report , you can select an item to view in more detail. When you back arrow to return to the GST Audit Report, Xero takes you back to the first item on page 1, not at the position where you left the Audit Report . It would be beneficial to the user, and would save a lot of time scrolling, if Xero returned the user to the position where they left the report.

  6. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

  7. Live timesheet entries will be awesome, instead of having to wait a whole fortnight to check entries from Xero Me(only when submitted), we can check them daily or on a regular basis.

  8. I recently commented about the new invoicing not showing credit notes available, what I didn't realise that this was only for Repeating Invoices, not standard generated invoices which do infact show the credit available.

    Some of our regular clients like to prepay so there are often credits to use. Upon approving a repeating invoice, the classic used to say there was a credit available on that contact, click here to use it. There is no such feature on the new repeating invoicing to indicate there is a credit available you have to go and manually check. As well as not…

    Hi Claire, I've tried replicating your scenario here using both a newly created and an existing repeating template. 

    In both cases when I open an invoice that has been generated from the template and credit is available I can see an option on the invoice to Apply credit (as shown in my image) 

    Could you please raise a case on this with our Xero support team on Xero Central. They have tools to be able to look into this deeper and confirm what's going on and why credit is not appearing for application in your invoices.

  10. I migrated from QB Desktop to Xero last year, and whilst Xero produces the accounts etc perfectly well I find processing book-keeping data takes me around 20% longer than it used to. Here are a few ideas which would speed this up:
    1. Have a button to scroll to next or last invoice, bill, journal etc rather than having to look at a transaction, then go back to the list to see the next transaction.
    2. Allow a default bank account to be set up for e.g. payments, receipts etc
    3. Able to use + - buttons to increase /…

  11. When generating quotes or invoices in foreign currencies, the amount should get automatically converted based on the current conversion rate. At the moment this needs to be done manually as the system just changes the currency without actually converting the value. This can be quite tedious if there are a large number of items or prices in an invoice.

    Hi everyone, thank you to everyone that participated in our teams survey from my last update. We appreciate your insights and these continue to help inform our teams of where they can best focus their efforts, as they continue to develop invoicing.

    We don't have any plans at this stage to increase the Description field character limit from 4,000, however we're interested to continue tracking the interest in community and understand what the optimal amount of characters would be for our customers.

  13. Sales question:
    we want to buy xero. We only do 100 transactions per year, but we have one month which has more than 20 invoices and 5 bills, (an event we organise). does the basic subscription do monthly transaction counts only or can it do an annual transaction count.

    Please can we have the ability to change the settings on suppliers bills due date to move than 31 days of the following month. We have several suppliers where we do not need to pay until 60 days after the end of the month in which the bill is issued.

    Thanks for sharing here, Karen. To just get a better understanding would this be when creating a new bill, or perhaps a repeating bill? It'll be handy when sharing back with the team. 

    You could set up defaults in your Contacts to auto enter the due date for example as 60 days after the end of the invoice month, or similarly with a repeating bill you could set this up in the template. 

  16. When transferring money between bank accounts in Xero - it would be good to restrict the user to only making the transfer if there is actually a matching transaction in the other account. As it is currently, the user can make the transfer and then it sits in the unreconciled payments or receipts for a bookkeeper to tidy up later on.

  18. We need a way to flag a transaction, either a sales, bill or account transaction that can then be pulled into a report for review before finalising BAS's etc.

    Whether that be a spend money that you are awaiting a Tax Invoice for, a bill that is in dispute, or a sales that need follow up.

    Could it be in the Bank Reconciliation menu where you can then pull the "discuss" notes into a report and the query notes could be there?

  19. Workers Comp pay item leave accrual idea.

    There is an option to "Accrue Leave for this Earnings Rate" when setting up the WC pay item.

    What would be good is the option to accrue for AL or PL separately as this alters according to state law eg in WA, AL is accrued but not PL on WC payments.

  20. Business dropdown menu

    1. ‘Bills to pay’ link goes to ‘Purchases overview > All’, showing all Paid and Unpaid.
      This should go to Purchases overview > Awaiting payment’? The way it is now doesn’t seem logical, when we’ve clearly selected ‘Bills to pay’ not ‘Purchases overview’ or ‘See all’

    Hi Larina, we appreciate our customers have different preferences for the bills page they would like to default to and this option is available within the 3 dot menu on the Bills page.

    From here you'll be able to set the Awaiting Payment screen as the default.

    It's not possible to do this for the Invoices screen atm so I've slightly changed the title of your idea here to reflect that specifically. We'll continue to track the interest here and let you know if there's any progress.
