  1. Sometimes the order of transactions is different in Uncoded Statement Lines Report to the transactions you are coding in Cash Coding. This means you cannot quickly enter codes from the Lines Report but have to carefully check line by line that it's the same transaction. This is extremely annoying, time consuming and occasionally results in incorrectly coded transaction lines. This has been a problem for years! It's terrible.

  2. A number of overseas entities, may be registered to charge GST to AU customers, particularly if they are selling digital services into AU. Many of these entities are registered with an ARN (ATO Reference Number), rather than an ABN.

    If registered with an ARN, they can charge GST, however the recipient of the service cannot claim the GST credits.

    For Xero users, it would be great to be able to include the ARN as part of the contact record - ideally in the ABN field, and potentially with a checkbox to indicate that this is an ARN instead of an…

  3. With the new pricing tiers coming in September 2024, Projects is only included in the most expensive tier. I currently pay for it as an add-on on a per user basis. With just two of us, this is cost effective. From September, if I want Projects I will have to pay for the top tier, a 30% increase to retain the features I use! Please make Projects available in lower pricing tiers.

  4. We chose xero because it was competitively priced and had all the features that we required as a small business. We trade in EUR and GBP so have to take the professional product. 2 years ago it cost us 39.60 GBP per month. In September it will cost us 43% and include a range of swanky features we have no intention of using. How about including in your product range the 'xero 22' - a stable product that worked great for so many people. The alternative is an unrecognisable product with equally mystifying price tag.

  5. It would be great to have the ability to edit Headings in Business Snapshot in Analytics-Plus as I work for a charity and having commercial terms (such as profit and loss) are not really helpful in a Charity setting.

    Hi all, just updating the status of this idea to Gaining Support here, to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.

    For the time being, you can keep your accounts up to date in Xero by manually importing statements from Anext Bank. As per our last update below, we'd also recommend sharing this link with your bank to let them know you'd like to see them connect with Xero, and they can fill in the form if they're interested in Partnering with us.

    While we don't have any direct plans for this atm, we'll share if any are made with you here.

  8. I am trying to archive legacy quotes - I have followed your instructions but when I highlight the selected quotes, there is no option button for archive?

    We want our quotes section to a more true reflection of the current business activity but at the same time do not want to have to delete legacy quotes. There is a need to archive similar to Inventory feature.

  9. I would love to see an integration with Zendesk to track time spent on tickets to be invoiced in Xero. I know this can by done with WorkflowMax but I don't want yet another app to deal with, it would be great to have this directly in Xero.

    Thanks to everyone that contributed and gave feedback to the teams survey that was shared in my last update.

    There was a lot of valuable insights that the team are able to take from this as they continue to plan whats next in invoicing.

    We understand and appreciate there are different flows for how our customers invoicing, and the timing of adding files can be dependent on these flows also.

    Our team are currently reviewing and exploring solutions to enable attachment of files to an invoice prior to the Contact. As soon as I have more news around this I'll be sure to share with you all through the idea here.

  11. Currently when you are viewing the GST Audit Report , you can select an item to view in more detail. When you back arrow to return to the GST Audit Report, Xero takes you back to the first item on page 1, not at the position where you left the Audit Report . It would be beneficial to the user, and would save a lot of time scrolling, if Xero returned the user to the position where they left the report.

  12. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

  13. Live timesheet entries will be awesome, instead of having to wait a whole fortnight to check entries from Xero Me(only when submitted), we can check them daily or on a regular basis.

  14. I recently commented about the new invoicing not showing credit notes available, what I didn't realise that this was only for Repeating Invoices, not standard generated invoices which do infact show the credit available.

    Some of our regular clients like to prepay so there are often credits to use. Upon approving a repeating invoice, the classic used to say there was a credit available on that contact, click here to use it. There is no such feature on the new repeating invoicing to indicate there is a credit available you have to go and manually check. As well as not…

    Hi Claire, I've tried replicating your scenario here using both a newly created and an existing repeating template. 

    In both cases when I open an invoice that has been generated from the template and credit is available I can see an option on the invoice to Apply credit (as shown in my image) 

    Could you please raise a case on this with our Xero support team on Xero Central. They have tools to be able to look into this deeper and confirm what's going on and why credit is not appearing for application in your invoices.

  16. I migrated from QB Desktop to Xero last year, and whilst Xero produces the accounts etc perfectly well I find processing book-keeping data takes me around 20% longer than it used to. Here are a few ideas which would speed this up:
    1. Have a button to scroll to next or last invoice, bill, journal etc rather than having to look at a transaction, then go back to the list to see the next transaction.
    2. Allow a default bank account to be set up for e.g. payments, receipts etc

  17. When generating quotes or invoices in foreign currencies, the amount should get automatically converted based on the current conversion rate. At the moment this needs to be done manually as the system just changes the currency without actually converting the value. This can be quite tedious if there are a large number of items or prices in an invoice.

    Hi everyone, thank you to everyone that participated in our teams survey from my last update. We appreciate your insights and these continue to help inform our teams of where they can best focus their efforts, as they continue to develop invoicing.

    We don't have any plans at this stage to increase the Description field character limit from 4,000, however we're interested to continue tracking the interest in community and understand what the optimal amount of characters would be for our customers.

  19. Sales question:
    we want to buy xero. We only do 100 transactions per year, but we have one month which has more than 20 invoices and 5 bills, (an event we organise). does the basic subscription do monthly transaction counts only or can it do an annual transaction count.
