  2. It would be really helpful to be able to add yes / no, to do / complete or custom field options to tasks rather than time. Not all tasks get billed for the time spent, but all tasks have to be completed. Being able to check them off would be great. IF you can then have Job / Project templates even better, as a project can be created with these already on there

  3. If in a 'normal' pay run an employee takes Annual Leave then Leave loading is shown as a separate line item - clear to the payroll person and the employee. However in a Final Pay run it does not show. Being consolidated with the leave sum is not obvious. Please keep to the 'normal' format, then it's clear to everyone

  4. To create a credit note from an invoice without applying it to the invoice.
Currently the only option is ‘create and apply credit’.
We refund first then generate the credit note. So we need to allocate the invoice to the customer receipt, then allocate the repayment to the credit note.

Generally this is a time saving mechanism, not having to then apply the credit to the invoice. Appreciate the detail of your workflow Susan, as definitely makes sense in what you're trying to do here.

We'll start to get a feel for the interest around this here, and in the meantime - Not sure if it still suits your flow however if viewing invoices from the Awaiting Payments list, if you don't need to open the invoice, you could use the 'New Credit Note' option from here.

  5. Need to be able to accumulate annual leave and sick leave when an employee has to rates of pay for example: working in two departments - one pay 24.50hr and the other department pays $24.17hr, currently Xero does not accumulate pay on multiple ordinary hours pay rates, one has to be and overtime rate using multiple of hours how can you do this for a rate with a difference of 33c. I also have the same issue with an employee who works week days at one rate, saturdays at another rate and sundays at a third rate. - I have…

  6. Scenario - Multiple projects open. If materials are purchased at eg a builders merchants for mutliple projects on one invoice/receipt, it's not possible to allocate the spend to individual projects which is madness. It seems that the total invoice/receipt must be assigned to ONE particular project. When materials are bought, it's often far cheaper to buy them in bulk, hence buying for more than one project at the same time. It should be possible to therefore assign individual lines on the invoice to a particular project (a bit like tracking).

Hi Clare, if you're adding an expense from within a project, it's expected that the expense you're creating is related to the Project you're in. You could create a Bill within the Bills to pay area where you can assign individual lines of your bill to different Projects.

  7. Ability to create recurring credit notes for both suppliers and costumers.

please includes history notes on time entries - or capture in the advanced activity section, history and notes, information on when time entries are entered &/or changed.
    Thanks

  9. Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring. We need a manual override where we can switch on the unfiled amounts, so that…

  11. Can we have complete name of Chart of Account in Xero Expense. For eg, from screeenshot attached, we have x3 different Meal Chart of Account but as i can't see the complete name of the chart of account i have to go to different screen to find the right code.

If we can see/have complete name of the chart of the account when submitting/editing Credit Card receipt that will be super helpful

  12. Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.

  14. In Xero Projects --> Time it will show "Deadline 31 May 2024 80 days to go"

Instead could it show "56 days elapsed and 80 days to go", or a percentage of the days elapsed to give it a scale the same way the invoiced and timesheeted hours headings do.

You could treat the first day as the first time entry on the project, so no need to add a field to manually set the project start date.

  15. Ability to see Header rows and side columns on all screens when scrolling

As per Microsoft Office where the top and side ribbons remains static.
e.g. When you're in the Dashboard and scroll down it would be good if the top ribbon is static. It makes it easier to select another item (business; accounting; contact etc) without having to scroll up.

The same with Bill Payments; Invoicing; reports etc where the top ribbon and column headers - see attached - would remain static as you scroll down the list.

The same as when you might have a lot of columns…

  16. Integrate Xero Payroll with NHS Pension Scheme.

It will be really helpful if you have integration with NHS Pension Scheme. This may also help many GP Practices and NHS organisation use the software for both Accounting and Payroll

  17. This is basic, if you want people to move to XERO make it easy to import data from existing systems. I have a huge amount of expenses to get into XERO and you can't use Bills because that is limited to 5 Bills per month!

I pay for expenses so if the work around is use Bills import then remove the 5 Bill/m limit.

  18. Audit trail of logins to Xero - there seems to be a series of different visual aids and short screen reports showing when a user last logged in, however from an audit perspective, it would be ideal to have a report that can be run for set periods showing when users have logged in. The information to run this type of report is there from the History and Notes report and the Assurance Dashboard. However a report that shows a time/date stamp would be ideal as evidence in cases of fraud/performance management

  19. The new balance sheet report has introduced a column between every month which contains a flag if there is an item impacted by FX. This now means that when exporting into excel the report now has 24 columns as opposed to 12 previously and the months are not sequential. I like many others use the balance sheet in other tailored reporting and financial models so am now having to delete the blank columns in order for the report to fit into my reporting templates. Why is it necessary to flag on every month that there is a FX implication? An…

  20. The latest glitch is that while using the edit function, something triggers the new invoicing to think that an amount has been added to a quantity or price box in one of the lines, presumably one that is being used as just a text line, and there is no way of knowing which box has been triggered so that you might know what you need to clear as nothing is flagged by the software. This also highlights that you don't have a cancel button making it harder to discard all those edits you have wasted entering making it harder to…

Hi Paul, appreciate your feedback on the new invoicing experience. We're continuing to develop this for all customers so your inputs are valuable.

With your first point around the description only line - my recent update on the related idea here may explain the behaviour you're noticing. If you're selecting a saved item to enter description only lines there is a change to how this works between the old and new version and it's not possible to use items as description only atm. We're monitoring this so please do add your vote to the idea there is you feel this applies to your situation.

It's best for us to keep one idea per thread so I'll adjust the title of your post here to match your second point on the colouring of the menu button and we can get a gauge of the interest around this too.
