Contacts - Allow multiple addresses for a single contact record
Ability to create and save multiple addresses for a single contact record
Purpose: Allow customers to map customer & supplier details against a single contact record
1,304 votesThanks for your continued engagement and valuable feedback on this long-standing idea, everyone. We've been carefully reviewing your comments and want to acknowledge the clear sentiment of frustration regarding the current limitations around managing multiple addresses for contacts, particularly for invoicing and delivery purposes, and that this is a critical feature to many of you.
We want to share an update on our progress here - We're pleased to confirm that the foundational work for handling multiple addresses has been completed within the Contacts area of Xero. This was a crucial first step. Building on this, now that all customers are on the new invoicing experience our product team has moved into the discovery phase for adding multiple addresses directly within invoicing. This means they are actively exploring the best way to implement this functionality to meet your needs effectively.
We appreciate your patience as we work through the complexities…

Invoicing - Make the History & Notes the same as in Classic Invoicing
Please leave the history of an invoice EXACTLY as it was in the classic invoicing.
The new invoicing doesn't show the invoice that it was copied from or copied to and this is very important as a trail.
I really don't understand why so many important features from the classic invoicing has been omitted.
OR
let your customers continue using the classic invoicing as they like
771 votesHi everyone, as another step toward improving history of new invoicing you'll find you'll now see an entry when an invoice is sent, and the email address it has been sent to.
We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing.
We still have more enhancements on the way for history and I'll be back again when more updates land.

Reconciliation - Allow credit notes to show and be selected on the find & match screen
Ability to show and can select credit notes on the find & match screen.
Purpose: To save time rather than having to go in and allocate the credit note against an invoice then going back to the bank reconciliation screen.
760 votesHi community, first off thank you for the continued interest and feedback surrounding this idea. We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.
We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

AU Payroll - Historical Payslip Report (bulk download)
Create a report to show all payslips for an employee for a given time period. Currently these have to be downloaded one by one.
575 votesHey everyone 👋thanks so much for your ongoing feedback and commitment to supporting this idea.
We understand the need for a straightforward process to download all payslips at once, particularly for WorkCover claims or employee requests where multiple payslips are required. We’re excited to let you know that our product team is now actively working on a solution to allow bulk downloading of payslips.
In the meantime, you can use the Payroll Activity Details report to get a detailed breakdown of each payslip. It's also worth noting that employees can access and download their own payslips directly through the Xero Me portal.
We'll keep you updated on our progress right here. 🙂

Login - Enable Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign On
Ability to use Azure Active Directory for MFA.
Purpose: It makes Microsoft users easily log into Xero.
568 votesHi everyone, we appreciate all the feedback and votes on this idea. We know using Microsoft Entra ID SSO is now common practice for some businesses and being able to access Xero via a native integration with Entra ID would streamline how your teams log in and get set up in Xero, as well as help in managing access for larger teams and keeping things secure.
Our product team have been working with a small limited group of Partners to develop SSO capabilities. Though we can't give any definite timelines yet, we’ll keep this thread updated with news. Thanks

Multicurrency- Batch payments of Foreign Currency Bills.
Batch payments of Foreign Currency Bills.
Dear Xero,
Please consider the feature of being able to batch up foreign currency Bills. We often pay multiple invoices in one go, having to reconcile and mark as paid 10 invoices is extremely time consuming.506 votesHi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.
Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.
We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

414 votesHi everyone! It's been great to see the appetite from many of our community here, eager to get your hands on Pay now for statements. 😊
We wanted to pop back in to confirm that this form is now closed. If you were eligible for the early release, you'll be notified in Xero from 19 August when roll out commences.

Invoicing - Customers to pay deposits on invoices
To have the ability for customers to pay deposit through invoices
Purposes: Business can just send one invoice to customer/client, so they don’t have to send multiple invoices when it comes to part payment.
409 votesHey community, we want to acknowledge all the feedback you’ve provided on this idea. We know from your comments here and through other channels that taking deposits or partial payments on invoices is a crucial part of the workflow for many businesses, whether it's to cover initial costs or to confirm a new project.
In terms of current options, within Xero there is the ability to create prepayments. Alternatively there are some third-party apps that serve these needs, too.
However, we do want to share that our product team is actively working on a solution that'll allow you to request and accept deposit payments.
While we can't give specifics on a timeline as yet, please know that this is a priority for us. We're grateful for the detailed feedback you've provided so far, which has been invaluable in getting us to this point.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated…

New Invoicing - History to include if invoice is resent
When an amendment is made and the invoice resent it needs to record who it has been sent to
372 votesHi everyone, we want to share that we've released a change to history for each time an invoice is sent.
Invoice history will now show the primary recipient email whenever an invoice is sent. This includes the initial and any subsequent send of an invoice.
We appreciate this has been a pain point for everyone that's joined in the idea here and hope this visibility improves your experience in invoicing.
We'd like to confirm how this works;
- This record is only applicable from here on in, there are no updates to any historical entries for sending.
- History will show the email of the initial recipient entered in the 'To' field any emails that you include as a CC or BCC option will not be shown.
We do want to highlight, that while the email will be recorded in majority of cases, there are a few scenarios our team have picked…

Invoicing - Add Payment details on invoice screen
When using the new style of invoicing, it is no longer possible to enter a customer payment which having to click on the receive payment option. Using classic invoicing, the fields to enter the payment are present on the invoice screen. The classic invoicing method is much more efficient when entering a large number of customer invoices, so it would be great if these fields could be added to the invoice screen on the new style.
352 votesHey everyone👋 Thanks so much for sharing all your feedback and keeping the conversation going here. We've been following along and considering changes around the process for adding payments in new invoicing.
As we mentioned in our last update, while we won’t be bringing classic invoicing back, we're taking a close look at what made it work so well for you. The ability to quickly enter payment information without leaving the invoice is a key part of that.
To address this, our product team is now working to reintroduce this functionality to the invoice page.
We can’t share a timeline just yet, but we want you to know that your comments have been a vital part of this process. We’ll be sure to post an update here as soon as we have more to share.🙂

New Invoicing - Move Save button to bottom of invoice like classic
Please move the SAVE for the New invoicing to the bottom as per old invoicing. When you have an invoice with 30-50 items and then have to scroll back up to save it adds to the pressure of getting things done.
Or Better still
Leave the old there until you've got it together and your Paid subscribers are happy.
We are seriously looking at moving away from XERO due to all the changes you impose on us without proper UAT. More often than not it creates more work for us and causes more stress we just dont need in an…234 votesHi team, I know it's been some time since we last updated this idea. Please know we have close eyes on this feature and this is a change our product team are currently working on.
While we can't give a definite timeframe work is progressing well and we'll keep you updated of when this is available, here. Thanks for your engagement with us through product ideas.

Sales Invoices - Issue progress payments on invoices for project/instalment
Ability to issue progress payments on quotes /invoices to percentage claim certain items or expenses.
Purpose: Users can see the progress of the payments from their customer just from one invoice instead of sending separate invoices.
213 votesThanks for all your feedback around being able to issue progress payments on sales invoices.
Right now as noted by others in the idea, one option for processing progress payments in Xero could be to use a draft invoice to keep track of the total amount, and using Copy to create new invoices for each progress payment, linking them back to the original project or quote in the description. It’s not a perfect solution, but may help manage the process.
We've been listening to your feedback and know there are multiple ways businesses operate - and we're exploring solutions for these workflows such as progress payments, and additionally, the ability to accept a deposit from a single invoice.
While we're unable to provide timeframes around this just yet, please know that this is a priority to us and we'll keep you updated on the progress through this idea.

AU Payroll - Superannuation end of quarter reminder
Would be great if Xero could trigger an automated (email and/or text) reminder to the superannuation payment approver 10, 5 and one days out from the superannuation due date each quarter.
A similar reminder feature already exists in XPM for Activity Statement Lodgements - reminders can be turned on.
Xero also has the ability to automate reminders to Customers around bill payment.
Xero has the email and SMS of the superannaution approver already on file.
Advantage of these reminders:
Super gets paid on time - we're all human and life can take over and sometimes things get missed - a…
174 votesHey everyone! Thanks so much for your feedback and for sharing your thoughts on this. It’s clear from the support this idea has gained that automated reminders for superannuation payments could be a huge help for many of you. We hear you and can see how this could make managing your obligations smoother.
Our product team has taken a look at this and we’re exploring how we can build it in to help you stay on top of the proposed PayDay Super changes. It’s on our roadmap, and we’ll keep you posted as things move forward. 🙂

Xero checks employees age against pay rate and that of the National Minumum Wage so it does not get missed. It's doesn't have to change it, just highlight thsat the employee's rate needs to ber changed
123 votesHi everyone, as part of the work we're doing here, we're looking to engage some small businesses as well as accountants and bookkeepers who use our Payroll functionality to try out our new prototypes and give us feedback.
We'd look to set up a video call over the next 3 weeks which'll take about 60 minutes. If you'd be interested in taking part, please apply by using this form. 😊 Thanks

Contacts - Add IBAN in account number and Swift in Routing number
There is an issue with the new contact edit settings, we cannot add IBAN in account number and swift in routing numberFinancial details. Since we have vendors globally, not everyone have US routing and acct number only. This needs to be fixed since we are relying on the bank details updated in contact
117 votesHi everyone, thanks for your on-going involvement in the idea here.
We understand many of our customers are trading internationally. While we haven't been able to deliver a solution as yet, this is still high on our radar.
Right now, depending on the country selected when setting up organisations will have different field options - Sort code in UK, BSB code in AU and Routing number in US. This explains the differences some in the conversation have mentioned. I appreciate it's not a solution but for the time being any extra detail (IBAN or any other banking detail) for the contact could be added as a note to the contacts record that can be looked up before making payments.
For our UK customers that have set up international bill payments - Though not direct from Contacts you can edit and save international payment details for a supplier through the flow…

Contacts: SMS reminders for invoices
I can see multiple suggestions and several thread over a number of years regarding the need for an SMS feature for both customer communication and invoicing. When are you going to add this? The tech is readily available to you. Many other platforms offer this now. Please prioritize this enhancement! Thanks.
67 votesHi team, we've now extended sending invoices via SMS to customers in the US. This is a free feature for all paid plans in AU and US, and can be used in addition to, or as an alternative to sending an invoice via email.
See detail on how sending invoices via SMS works on Xero Central.
Again, at this time there is no way to automate SMS messaging via Invoice reminders. We'll update you if there is any word of this here.

Xero Login - Enable Passkeys as a replacement to passwords
Passkeys (https://fidoalliance.org/passkeys/) are rapidly taking over passwords and are infinitely more secure than passwords.
Intuit are already using Passkeys (https://fidoalliance.org/case-study-intuits-roi-from-passwordless-customer-authentication/)
55 votesHi team, we've just launched passkeys to our first group of users. From this week, Xero Me app users who haven't set up MFA yet will be able to use passkeys to log into Xero. Next, we'll be progressively rolling this out to more users over the coming months. We look forward to and welcome your feedback here. As we have more news on the rollout I'll share with you on this idea.

Invoicing - Sending Invoices by SMS
ADD SMS OPTION TO SEND INVOICE VIA SMS. LOT OF PEOPLE SEND VIA IPHONE OR IPAD ECT
51 votesHi all, we wanted to share an update for our US customers that sending invoices via SMS is now available! We have just released this functionality and you can use the same Xero Central article as shared in the last update to understand the in's & out's of how this works. After this release we will be working on delivering this to the UK and NZ markets. As mentioned initially this is limited to the Stripe payment service but we will also be expanding this other payment services down the line.
