Custom payroll reports
It would be good if payroll reports could be customised, i.e. after making a change to an existing report, such as Gross To Net report, the new template could be saved as a Custom Report.
At the moment, it isn't possible to save the updated format, so I have to make the same changes to the standard report every month.

It would make things much easier each month to split our PAYE payments between departments and bank accounts.

As reporting Wages for QLEAVE especially in the Community Services industry this is A Critically required report that I can show as a summary of employees and what their Gross Wages is summarised by for all employees, not having to do it ONE BY ONE.

I would also like to be able to save a custom report rather than changing it every week

Why oh why can't Xero have the functionality to create custom reports? Even basic reports require downloading to Excel and data manipulation. For example - Payroll Tax. To create a report to allow calculation of payroll tax is an exercise in frustration with Xero. Other packages allow you to create the report once and then save it as a custom report.
Just another field where Xero has really dropped the ball. -

A custom deductions report using the pay history report would be ideal for weekly reporting for withheld staff deductions as there is no reducing balance option for deductions.

Will Payrun Summary report help? It gives the summary info without details.

It would be useful to be able to print a gross to net payroll summary before posting the payroll.
We prepare payroll for clients and they don't really like to detailed report as it is long-winded, but like to see a summary of each employee's gross to net pay to check before confirming that they are happy for us to post the pay run. -

Hear! hear! It adds time and frustration to have to customise the Gross to Net every time.
