AU Payroll | Xero Me - Timesheets default start and finish times
Ability for the employee in Xero Me. to be able to create a timesheet template so that they don't have to complete the start, finish and break times for every day every pay period.
Hi community 🙋
Thanks for starting this idea! Did you see last week that our Product Team released an update that helps speed things up on Xero Me Mobile? They’ve enabled the ability to copy previous time entries in start-end timesheets on a per day basis. To do this, enter your time entries as usual for the first day in your timesheet, and then select the “copy from [date]” option when adding a new time entry for a consecutive day.
The team are interested in further exploring improvements in this area, but at this stage there are no firm plans to progress this idea. They’ve got their eyes on the ground though - closely monitoring your ideas, votes and comments.

Our staff all work the same hours on weekdays and occasionally do overtime. Be great if I could set them all up with a 'default timesheet' or there was 'timesheet template' and they just add their overtime rather than having to enter all their time worked from scratch every week.
Also a reminder on Wednesday arvo and again Thursday moring to submit their timesheet would be gold and save me chasing them all up individually so I can do a payrun. -

It would be useful if Xero Me used the "hours" that are entered on the employee record in the Pay Template section for its default working hours. Currently Xero Me defaults to 8 hrs per day (40 hr week) when most places are working 7 hrs 36 mins per day (38 hr week).

Timesheet templates for Start and finish times
Templates should be able to be created by the Payroll Admin for start and finish times setting
These templates should be able to be chosen by Employees using desktop and Xero Me App.
Employees should be able to amend these in the App or desktop -

I wonder how many payroll ideas I need to support before Xero realise that their offering is inferior to all other providers.

We have several team members working part time doing set hours but differing between days of the week. At present they have to submit a leave request for EACH day, and these each have to be approved. If they are going several days leave this can lead to many, many leave applications, and approvals.
In addition it is easy to overlook this and then someone has to go back and amend.
They get confused/distracted by the apps inconsistency. A couple of examples: 1/ if you choose more than one day it does not show hours at all,
2/ "select approver" step does not have a DONE. You have to work out that it is in the three dots, and then you forget that if you don't take leave for a while.
Thanks for listening to the needs of users. When is the app likely to be reviewed? ie scheduled in your works program -

Please add ability for employees to enter hours where penalty rates apply, such as "Saturday Admin" rather than ordinary hours. I can add this to their timesheet, but the employee is unable to and is dependant upon me noticing it is a Saturday.
