    Hi team, we don't have any plans for developing the ability to bulk update the description of your repeating invoices right now.

    To help your work flow here, you could include placeholders so the description contains the current month. Dynamic date placeholders can be added to the Description and Reference fields of repeating invoices and bills. The placeholders will then insert the specified detail into the invoices and bills when they are created.

  2. The functionality in Xero that shows a file has been deleted in the History and Notes section of a transaction.

    Currently if a file is added to a transaction and then deleted, under the history and notes section it still shows there was file uploaded, but doesn't have an audit trail that it was subsequently deleted.
    is this something that can be added as part of the history and notes to be more accurate

    Ability to confirm to a customer that their quote has been accepted & processed as an order. It is either in the process of being made, or waiting in a queue of work to be done.

    As the business manager I can look at my order book on a daily basis to see which orders are outstanding and in what priority they should be completed.

  5. Label printing. It would be so much easier if having entered the name and address on an invoice we could then print the name and address directly onto a label writer (something easily done using Sage software). We are a publisher, selling books via a website to people who usually only ever make one purchase, so we don't want to create an unnecessarily massive contact list.   6. Currently, the number of files that can be uploaded is limited to 50. It would be useful to be able to upload more than 50 files. For example, to a loan account we might need to attach the original loan documents, associated invoices, monthly statements and letters relating to interest rate increases. For a 5 year loan, more than 50 documents would be required for monthly statements alone.

  7. I would like to be able to send statements using different email templates depending on how old the debts are. Smart lists seem to have the functionality to filter what I want but no option to send statements based on those lists.

    Hey community, thanks for sharing this idea.

    For those who aren't aware, within the Email Settings it is possible to create a number of different templates to reflect the wording you'd like to use, depending on the age of the debt. The Add email templates support article has detailed steps on how to do this 😊

    As mentioned, Smart Lists are a great way to filter your customers and can be used as a tool to identify the customers who should receive their statement with each template.

    However as you have found, it is currently not possible to send statements directly to the customers from the Smart List. We understand this is the main ask of this idea, so we'll continue to monitor the suggestion to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed.

  9. Can you make the "Paid From" and "Reference" fields wider in the Make a Payment section of the bills and invoices? I like detail in my Reference field and there are only 14 characters that you can see and in the Paid From field, you can't see both the account number and the text.

  10. When trying to match multiple bills to pay against Supplier statements, Xero scatters the bills randomly by reference and not in date order. There also needs to be an extra box on entering bills form, so there can be a supplier invoice no. separated from reference no.

  11. For my clients that I have on Xero, I would like to use the Xero Network Key send through my invoices as Spend Money transactions instead of Bills.

    Similarly, I would like to receive invoices from Xero through my Xero Network Key as a Spend Money instead of a bill that I import/approve.

  12. Almost every quote/invoice I make ends up having the last little bit of the quote/invoice on the second page, with a huge amount of wasted space on the first page, which looks unprofessional. Having the option within standard invoices to remove the spacing would be amazing. I know you can get around this by using the 'Advanced invoice' option, but that requires a lot more manual work, so it's inconvenient.

  13. Repeating Invoice: Sales Overview Screen - add a Last Updated Date to the Overview Screen

    Purpose: We use repeating invoices for the Auto Pay feature but most invoices need some form of adjustment before being sent each month. With a list of repeating invoices that goes on for pages it would be great to see the last date/time each invoice had been updated so that if you are interrupted during the monthly updating you can tell where you are up to when you come back to the Sales Overview screen, rather than needing to keep track of this somewhere else.

  15. At the moment the only option to allow us to offer Auto Pay via Stripe is to set recurring invoices to "approve for sending". Clients receive an email from Xero when their invoice is ready and an email with the payment confirmation linking to the paid invoice and their receipt. Clients on a subscription do not need to get the initial invoice and this confuses many of them. I would like the option to disable sending the invoice when Auto Pay is active, where the only email they receive is the payment confirmation.

  18. Invoice templates should not be in the "settings" but in the actual part where the invoices are, this is product development 101 stuff guys seriously...

    Adding/altering/deleting invoice templates should be accessible right from within the sales overview and invoice section. I shouldn't have to google for this stuff, it's really quite terrible.

    Hi team, just having a little play in Projects - while it won't work for Deposit or Project Amount creation, if you're creating an invoice from a Project for Tasks & Expenses you'll be able to hold down 'ctrl' while clicking on this option and should find this opens the Tasks and expenses screen in a separate browser tab. 

    Totally get this doesn't resolve the idea here, but wanted to share for those it helps 🙂
