  2. My Bank rules were deleted by someone. Xero doesn't have a restore function or the ability to see who deleted these.
    We need this for compliance purposes and the safety of our data purposes.

  3. It would be a really useful to be able to attach files to a bank account within Xero, much as you can to a contact or transaction.

    The use cases for this could be:
    When a disorganised client send bank statements in as attachments for irregular payments it would be very handy to be able to store those attached to the account in Xero; as close to where I would want to use them as possible.

  4. Ability for Xero to treat an overpayment with VAT on - I don't want to use a secondary debtors control account.

    We have a client on the VAT cash accounting scheme and we have a number of overpayments which need to hit the debtors control account. When I run the VAT return, these amounts are not being captured for VAT purposes since there is no option to select a tax rate when using the overpayments option.

  6. Enable Xero to remember the zoom and window size when viewing a document attached to an invoice, bill, purchase order etc.

    I always find it annoying that the default size for viewing an attachment is too small and I need to increase the zoom and window size every time.

  7. Our contact cards are set up automatically through an API directly from our billing systems (we have multiple systems that are all coded differently). Fields like currency and branding are not updated with this link; therefore, the fields default to our Xero account settings. We want to export the contact card list with these fields to identify the clients with information that needs updating, to then fix and import in one step instead of updating each card.

  8. Every month I publish, export and share reports with certain individuals. I would like to do this within Xero. I set up users who can have "View published reports" access. When I publish a report I can then select that report and choose which of these users I wish to share it with. The user is notified, can login to Xero and is then presented with a list of published reports that have been shared with them. It keeps all the functionality native to Xero.

  10. It's unfathomable to me that it is not possible to do something as simple as output sales by state or by province or by country or by city. These are discreet fields in Xero and we ought to be able to filter a sales or P&L report to just include sales for some regions or to summarize by state or country. Right now all I can do is export all transactions and run everything through excel, which is not the way this should work. Thanks.

    Hi team, while not a fully fledged report you may find Smart Lists within a contact useful at present. 

    From Contacts you can set up and get a list of customers that meet certain rules that you've set up - such as 'Location' is and setting this to one or more locations your customers are based. 

  11. Not a major one but I feel the whole online site needs a facelift.
    Information is not given in an easy to process way and this can make navigating the program more complicated than it seems to be.

    I recently transferred over from MYOB and where I feel the general program of Xero is better for ease of reconciling etc. some tasks can feel super overcomplicated and difficult to carry out due to poor layout and outdated visuals. With the currect feature History and note report we are able to see which invoice for example has been edited - change name of invoice - reconciled etc. However we would like to have a more detailed view, for example if an invoice is booked in USD and someone will change the currency in EUR we are not able to see this change , we can see only that the invoice is edited by X person but we are not able to see the change. How can we have this feature?

    Hi everyone, while we still have more changes planned in this space I wanted to fill you in on the more recent changes in this space.

    We have now added the ability to view the email an invoice was sent to in history, as well as adding timestamps for more insight into when an event was made.

  15. It would be good for the lower scroll bar to display when a screen is minimised (in contacts). Currently, if you minimise the screen (as I do when I am comparing entries in another external on-line tab, for example, with my HMRC account, or my on-line bank account) you can only see the left of the minimised screen.   17. Even though the above feature in XERO has great potential for add on value services to clients, example, 90 days cash flow projections, I am very surprised that no one asked, why cant we produce a report in PDF or Excel??? Isn't this an essential part of a report?

  18. I think it would be a good idea to facilitate the location of payroll reports. Please could you create a link to payroll journals within the payroll "journal reports".
    Secondly, it would very useful to be able to amend a payroll journal report, if needed.

  19. We would like to suggest an enhancement to the Xero payroll software that could significantly improve its functionality for our company.

    Currently, Xero offers download options for various pension providers, but we've noticed that True Potential is not among them.

    We propose the addition of a CSV download option specifically for the True Potential pension provider.

    Given that Xero already possesses the necessary data, incorporating this feature would eliminate the need for manual data entry and formatting, reducing the risk of errors and saving valuable time.
