Budget Variance Report - Remove arrows
It would be nice to have the ability to add/remove the arrows from Variance Reports. Some clients don't like them and only want to see the dollar value.

Bank Account | Always have "Find Bank" feature when adding bank feed
If I already have a bank feed setup for an account and then go to add another bank feed, the system skips the screen where I choose the bank. I have bank accounts at more than one bank and unless I disconnect every feed I have setup, Xero skips the bank choice screen and ASSUMES it's at the bank I already have a feed for.
2 votesHi Thomas, sorry we've not responded here sooner - Are you still experiencing this when adding a new bank account? If so, I'd recommend raising a case with our specialists at Xero Support to confirm why you're not receiving this option when adding a bank account in Xero, as this does sound like out of normal behaviour.

Invoice and Bills - Include mandatory Reference Number Field
Currently you can add a bill / invoice without adding a invoice number or just typing a word or anything - example our debtors lady invoiced (Receivable invoice) a client and overwrited the invoice number (reference) to "Diesel R/Bay" so the invoice had no invoice number

Invoices - Add Pay Now option to Invoice screen
Customers receive an email with "Pay Now" option to pay online with Stripe.
Customers will, instead of clicking Pay Now, just call up with CC and ask to pay invoice.
Having the Pay Now button in the invoice screen would make this so much easier to process.Just let me pay an invoice using credit card from within the invoice screen

Xero UI - Unify date selectors
At a quick count there at least three different date selectors used in Xero. This makes it clunky for users and some date selectors are functionally outdated. Examples, the date selector used in Invoices (best) vs the one used in Reports (worst) vs the one used in Leave.
Use the same date selector(s) across the entire product. One that allows for:
- Keyboard entry of date(s), multiple formats eg 23/08/23 as well as 23 Aug 2023 (Invoices does this)
- Shortcuts like 'This financial year' etc - where applicable
- Quick year jumps (unlike the date selector in Reports - nobody likes pressing the back button 84 times to go back 7 years)
- Entry of start and end dates in the same window - where applicableAt a quick count there at least three different date selectors used in Xero. Inventory - History and Notes to show the PO's that make up the Quantity on order
When you look at an inventory item, it shows that you have that item on order, but it doesn't show you in the history and notes, what PO that the item is ordered on. All it shows in the history is the Bill's and the invoices.
IT needs to show in the history the PO that the goods on order are ordered on.

Cash Coding - Auto suggestion or bank rules for cash coding
Suggest Bank rules. When Xero suggests a Contact & Account during the reconciliation we should also have an option to make that a rule so they can use it in cash coding as well. If that is not possible then have the suggested transactions auto fil on cash coding or have a check box like in the reconcile screen to show suggestions

Bills - Move the New Bill button to the top left, to match the Invoices screen
On the Bills page, the New Bill button has been moved top right. More distance to travel = more time wasted. Need to look harder to find it too because it isn't where it was and the New invoice button still is. No - the new colour doesn't help that much as I am colour blind. Could you please move the New bill button back to top left of the screen like the New invoice button ?
When I enter a bill where there is an outstanding credit, I go and Allocate credit. Great but after doing that the screen returns to the Bill - but there is no Add another bill link so I have to come out to the Bills page and go back in. Could you please put an Add another bill button in the left of the header as there is if I had just come to this screen from the Approve button when there is no outstanding credit ?
When I edit a bill I finish by clicking Save. As in the paragraph above after doing that the screen returns to the Bill - but there is no Add another bill link so I have to come out to the Bills page and go back in. Could you please put an Add another bill button in the left of the header as there is if I had just come to this screen from the Approve button on a new bill ?
Many thanks, Mike.

Sales Invoice - Bulk Approve and Email
Please add the ability to bulk approve and email invoices simultaneously.
8 votesHi Brett, separate actions in them self but it is possible to Approve multiple invoices at once from the Draft tab. When actioned you'll see a message from which you can 'View invoices' and multi select to Email.
Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now - Is there a common scenario, or specific reason you'd like these actions as one? It'd be good detail to share back with the team.

Xero Me app: Allow allowances to be entered on timesheet
Xero Me app no longer allows entry of allowances. Previously employees have had ability to enter their hours and any allowances attached on their templates but apparently since the change to STP2 they have stopped this ability which is crazy. Seems to be no point in using Xerome.
Seeing we have just spent hours ensuring our clients have mapped the allowances correctly to STP2 categories not sure why this has been removed. Pls vote to have returned.10 votes -
Short Term Cash Flow - Filters
Being able to filter on the Short-Term Cash flow would be very helpful. For example, if I create an invoice but haven't sent it yet, it's included in the projected income, but if I can tell the report to only show invoices that have been "Sent" it would only include invoices that have actually been sent to the client.

Include dates on cheques under date to comply with CPA requirements.
Xero needs to include the field indicators on their printed cheques like all the other Canadian compliant software companies.
Right now Xero directs Canadians to have their printer include the field indicators on the preprinted stock, but this makes alignment very difficult and most printers won’t. Even the companies that they suggest to provide the stock do not include it.

Hubdoc - share and upload documents from device drives
Why can't you open a document , press share and the doucment filed into Hubdoc in the same way you can with Xero Files where want to push into Hubdoc initially?
Also you can seem to add PDF file types (that are not photos taken previously and stored in your phone gallery) with or without downloading the PDF document onto your device first - why is that?
Is Hubdoc a proper document storage facility?

Receivable Invoice Summary - Date range 'Any' option
Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.
This seems to be no longer available in the new "Receivable Invoice Report" and any invoices created outside of your selected date range (but paid within that date range) won't show up on the report.
You can expand your date range but this has potential to re-list paid invoices from previous reports.
Can "ANY' be added as an option to Dates as it was in previous version?Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.

Invoices: Customise items in 'Due date' dropdown list
Currently, when creating an invoice, the payment terms dropdown gives you the following options:
- Today
- 7 days
- 14 days
- EOM +1
- EOM +20
- end of next month
I would like to customise this list; the Australian government has recently brought in payment standards of 5 days if sent by e-invoice and 20 days if not, for all invoices sent to all non-corporate Commonwealth entities (including Defence) and neither of those are amongst the standard options. This means that I have to manually change the due date based on the contract for every invoice sent, since different contracts for the same government department can be required to be sent by e-invoice or not, based on whether they existed prior to the current policy or not https://www.finance.gov.au/publications/resource-management-guides/supplier-pay-time-or-pay-interest-policy-rmg-417I'd really like to adjust the dropdown to remove the options I never ever use and include the ones I use frequently.
