  2. Send purchase order from mobile app
    Frustrated as the platform needs tons of updates it’s terrible

  3. I have worked with an accounting system that allows many rows e.g. description, Qty, Price, Account and Tax rate to be copied from Excel (at a go) and pasted to create an invoice, Journal etc. This saves a lot of time.

  4. Previously when making a payment once you added the payment it took you back to the awaiting payment screen (where it showed the name just paid and give you the option to send a receipt) now it takes you to the paid screen. This is a real pain when you are doing eft receipts for multiple clients.

    Hi everyone, completely understand the logic and why you'd want to be returned to this screen once applying a payment. Our team have released an update so you'll now find you're taken to the Awaiting Payments list once a payment is applied to an invoice in new invoicing. Thanks for all sharing with us, here.

    Hi all, appreciate the interest and rationale in wanting to be able to see under each history which invoice template was used to send the invoice.

    We are working on improving new invoicing history that'll eventually include when branding of an invoice has changed.

    However, we want to be upfront that recording the name of the branding template the invoice has been changed From and To is not something we'll be developing in the near term.

  6. I run a braille transcription business and must submit braille files along with invoice. I would like to send all from once source, Xero, rather than in a separate email. Attach .cdr (CorelDraw) and .B2K (Braille2000) files (other file types, too).

  7. A option to have a price list added to a specific customer so that the pricing for that specific customer is automatically added when invoicing. I have been through the app store and cannot find an app that offers this feature and integrates with Xero. It is silly that all other accounting software offer this option yet Xero has no interest in adding it to their system

  9. I have noticed that when you are preparing to send an invoice via email in Xero that you can now add new addresses in the TO, CC and BCC lines. This is great.

    However, I have noticed that ALL contacts are available to add here. It would be safer to only allow the contact email addresses associated with the contact name on the invoice. It is too easy to add the wrong address and potentially send invoice information to the wrong client.

    If other people needed to do this, perhaps a tick box could be applied to allow ALL CONTACTS…

  10. The old version we used to be able to hit the Enter button whilst we are keying in the number keys to the right of our keyboard. In the new version we have come to realise that the Enter Button makes the decimal points pop up... instead of just being able to put in 50 for fifty dollars. I have been using the Enter key over near those numbers on the right since xero began and I am really hoping this is fixed ASAP if that is ok please

    Thanks for raising this with us in product ideas, Leanne. Appreciate it's been a few months since you first started this, however just coming back across and testing with the current experience it appears this is now working as you'd like to see here - When entering data in fields of a row in the invoice, if you press enter you'll move across to the next field. Also within an amount field like Qty or Price when you type in a figure and press enter this will move fields and round the amount to the nearest whole number, unless you have inserted a decimal point.

  11. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

    Hi team, sorry we have not engaged with this idea before now. I'm pleased to confirm that this idea is already a feature within Xero.

    If a user is in an eInovicing region(AU, NZ or UK) and has registered to receive eInvoices, once you add them as the Contact to your invoice the option to 'Send as an eInvoice' will appear.

    For non-eInvoicing regions the option to send via the Xero network is available and your customer will be able to share their Xero network key with you to send with this option - This option is currently available from the Awaiting Payments list screen, however we're currently developing the ability to send with the Xero Network from within an invoice and you can stay updated on this delivery here.

  12. Xero made a lot of noise about how good the 'new invoicing' feature would be. Users gave plenty of feedback early on when new invoicing was optional, both in comments and by not switching over to new invoicing. Xero proceeded with the change seemingly unaware of the negative mood amongst users to the new invoicing feature.

    Appreciate your feedback, Martin. I can assure you throughout the build of new invoicing we have engaged and tested out features with many different users. To keep customers informed throughout we have shared blog posts and regularly update our Xero Central page with what's been delivered and what's to come.

    Being such a widely used feature, we have focused on features that suit majority of our customers needs. We appreciate some customers still want to see more development and we are continuing to enhance this new invoicing experience.

  14. Invoice in Projects - ability to combine time entries of employees to show total hours per employee

    At the moment when you create an invoice in Projects, all the individual time entries are shown which can be 2-3 pages long. It would be great to have an option to combine all time entries per employee over a selected period so that the invoice doesn't have to be 2-3 pages long showing time entries done by each employee when all we need is one line item per each employee.

    Does this need to be on an employee basis, Jay? 

    At present, you can either create an invoice based on the Task or based on Time entries. 

    To confirm at present you can summarise the time entries by selecting to invoice as a Task - but appreciate this doesn't allow the individual lines for a employee breakdown 

  15. Populate Contact Purchase Defaults when Bills arrive as e-invoice or from 3rd party app.

    As a bookkeeper I was so looking forward to promoting and using e-invoicing, but unfortunately it's not going to work for me (and many of my clients). This is because we often have invoices with A LOT of line items which are brought into Xero just as a total with one line only.     Thanks for your support here, everyone. Appreciate there is some interest in this from people emailing bills to their organisation, or importing via a 3rd party application. 

    We wanted to share a recent change we've made for those using eInvoicing - invoices received via Xero's eInvoicing will apply Contact defaults (such as a set default 'Purchase account) when creating the invoice in Xero. 😁

  16. When creating an invoice from a project-keep items in the same order as they appear in the project. It is very confusing when all the items are in different places than they were in the project and I have to reorder everything.

  17. We have had a number of issues relating to modified invoices / documents within Xero. It would be great if there is a way we can setup alerts or email notifications each time certain documents are modified such as invoices or figures on forms etc. This would allow our Financial Controller to oversee all changes made on a global level.

  18. Projects & new invoicing features needs to allow the task account code, tax code & cost center to populate automatically like it was before.
    This now means that we have to manually input these items whereas they were there before prepopulated when you created the draft invoice from the projects tasks & expenses. Hours more time is going to be spent doing these invoices now & increases the human error factor when this is all supposed to be making things more automated & streamlined. If something was working before & does not now, to get an answer from Xero support…

Invoicing - increase the number of invoices that can be sent on the Ignite Plan or have another plan between the ignite and grow plans that allows more invoices to be sent and bills to be entered without the current extras in the grow plan. The jump up in cost between these plans is too much.
