    Hi everyone, there's been some changes to how bank feeds work in the EU. Under the new standards, each UK bank is required to develop a gateway or API for third parties to connect to in order to access bank account information.

    We're pleased to let you know that as a result, we now have a feed available for both Bank of Scotland, and Halifax accounts - you can check exactly which accounts are supported here.

    If a specific account type isn’t showing in the list above, or when you try connect your feed, it's because the account type isn’t available from your bank yet. This differs between banks and account types. We recommend speaking with your bank for more info on what account types are supported by them.

  2. Our club wishes to purchase Xero but Xero have no system in order to accept subscription payments from clubs who have dual signatories on their bank accounts. They only offer direct debit with one bank signatory or debit/credit cards. Neither of which work when you are a club/charity who must have financial accountability to their members/community. I have suggested an automatic payment and supplying them with a direct debit form with both signatories but they have declined both. I find this incredible. Surely there is a solution here? We can't be the only club/charity that has this situation. Are we?

  3. The new cash summary report is not as user friendly as the old version.
    The most common cash summary format used is a full year or YTD monthly report. In the old version it had the months listed so easy to go back to the end of month of last years financial year whereas now all the current options only refer to the last month or are a full year. When comparing with periods 11 months was the most common option used as wanted to compare a full year but now this has to be entered manually. If you want…

    Appreciate the new version of report may take a few steps to set up and it can take some getting used to the changes from old to new, Alicia. Being open we don't plan to complete copy the older version. 

    Having a bit of a test, if you regularly compare the past 11 months you can set this in the Compare with  period = 11 and Months. Once run you can then use the Layout editor to move the columns oldest to newest. 

    If you then Save as custom you'll find that you can jump back into this formatting any time and update the Date range of the report which will hold the Compare with settings you've set up in the report. 

  4. Like Sage I would like every item to have the VAT return Date and month it was recorded on attached to it and if/when it was adjusted which return the adjustment was submitted on as well.

  6. Bill pdf – to have a print function to print a Payment Voucher for Bill created via a template which user can customize and must contain bank payment details
    of supplier which is input in the Notes under supplier contact (see 1a above). This is to allow us to send the payment voucher manually to boss for boss to do the manual payment to supplier.
    Boss needs the supplier invoice details and the supplier bank payment details in supplier masters (see 1a) as well as a footer of Prepared by; Approved by and Acknowledge receipt on the

  7. Would be great to get the Payment Summary Details report to include a filter for Superannuation
    There doesn't seem to be a report that easily shows all payroll information by Employee Group.

  10. I have an employee with two bank accounts - Bank Account 2 currently has a dollar amount going to it, and Primary Bank Account has the balance. The employee would like to swap which one is getting the dollar amount and which the balance. I'd like to do this with a button.

    Instead I have to do it manually, copying and pasting field by field.

  11. In the Inventory Item Summary report I can customise the report by adding a filter & then searching for a stock item eg a spigot - but there are 100 different types of spigots, & each of them need to be selected individually!!! can we please have a "select all" button???

  14. Xero should auto import all the transactions from the bank feeds even if it appears to be double entries of the same transaction. For example Toll fees with the same amount on the same day are only imported once into xero although all the transactions are on the bank's online profile.

  15. The new Payroll Activity and Summary Report is not as user friendly as the old one. It was much easier to read and find your employee name and net amount due on the older version. I also don't like how half an employees details can be on one page and the rest on the next page. I would like to revert to the old style, if possible?

  17. It would be useful to be able to filter the account transactions page between reconciled and unreconciled transactions, as well add a date range. I have to do lots of manual reconciliations so being able to filter the transactions that actually need reconciling is quite important

    If you click Search from the Account transactions tab of a bank account, you'll see an option to enter a date range and select Status 'Unreconciled'

  18. export graph of bank account - the image of a decreasing bank balance in the form of a graph over a period of up to 6 months is very telling, please could the image already available be accessible as a download so this can be shared with business owners

  19. If I need to make changes to the invoice settings from within the invoice page, there's no way to access the settings. In fact, it was pretty hard to find the invoice settings at all! Please put a direct link from the Invoice summary page to the Invoice Settings. (I agree with another suggestion that access to Invoice Settings should be controlled by role type).

    Good to hear you've an existing idea you'd like to support too around access to settings, Natalie. Currently only the Standard or Advisor roles will have access to Invoice Settings - more on this here

    When it comes to accessing Invoice Settings from sales, while it's not available from the list view of invoices, you'll find if you have the right role you can jump across from an individual invoice by clicking the 3 dots in the top right of the page - see my pic below.

  20. Bulk update Bank Statement text in Payslips
    Or we can set up Statement text as fixed for every employee rather than the default "WAGES" statement text in Xero
