68 votesHi everyone, a few different asks within the idea here and I'd like to confirm what is currently possible to help clarify.
We have recently released a new send modal with new invoicing - with this update you now have the ability to cc and Bcc emails when sending individual invoices from Xero with new invoicing.
While it's not possible to set default cc and Bcc email at the email template level at present this may be something we look into further down the line and we will keep you updated of any planned improvements through this idea.
For the time being, if there are other people for a contact that you'd like to ensure also receive emails you can add them as additional people to the Contact record and select to 'Include this person in emails sent to this contact'
On the other hand, if you'd like to ensure you receive a copy of the email being sent make sure the 'Send myself a copy' option is checked beneath the email on the right of the send modal - This is a browser setting triggered by your last selection. So, should remain checked for the next invoice you send.
When you send emails from your Xero organisation, these are are sent from our email message service. If your customer replies using ‘Reply to’ from the email they’ve received, their reply will go to the ‘reply-to’ email address that has been set up in your email settings - There's been more discussion of this across in this idea.
Thought we appreciate this doesn't fully resolve the idea here, I hope my explanation above helps understanding and provides options for some of you here. We'll share if there are any further changes surrounding this, here.

Purpose: Validity when being queried by customers about a transaction, verifying payments and collecting debtor payments. Proof of interaction.
404 votesHey community, we get the vying interest in this and how having a copy of the invoice sent within Xero would help when following up with debtors, or in disputes.
As many of you have pointed out, the best option that exists within Xero for now is to use the 'send me a copy' checkbox. This gives you a solid record in your own email inbox to fall back on. While it takes a little setting up you could create a filter in your email inbox to route these to a specific folder for reference.
Another smart tip as shared here could be setting up a dedicated email address to file these automatically, and keep things organised.
Though not a solve for the body of the email that's being asked here, a change that we recently made for invoices is that all sent invoices will include the primary To: email address in History & Notes, including where an invoice is resent. Adding the ability to quickly confirm who an email was sent to.
We know a full log of the email body is the ultimate goal for many of you, however we want to be transparent that this is not something we have planned in the next 12 months, however we're watching this idea sharply and will share any new updates right here if anything changes.

4 votesWe appreciate the passion and feedback we've received from customers about the ability to import and export purchase orders.
We want to be open, that we do not have a direct plan to build export and import functionality in Purchase Order any time soon.

To give a clear message for anyone coming across the idea, we'll close this idea.

Purpose: Save time for users to get the correct figures rather than going through manual process.
265 votesHi community, we're thankful for all your support and letting us know the importance of this idea to you in appropriately recording Fixed Assets in Xero.
As many will have experienced we've launched a new version of Fixed Assets to most regions with just a portion of AU left to receive this new experience. There's been lots of work from the team to develop this version all built on updated technology that'll enable growth in this space, overtime.
Currently, though we've done some initial discovery of what'd be required to build the capability to proportion assets depreciation for business and private use in all regions, this hasn't been currently planned for the short term.
For the time being, we'd recommend posting manual journals to record the private use apportionment of a Fixed Assets depreciation.
If you're using Fixed Assets in NZ it's possible to set up an asset and apportion a % for private use. However, it's important to note that it's not possible to apportion the private use depreciation of an asset prior to using Xero. In this case when you sell the asset a manual journal may be needed to correctly state the private use.
We understand it's not the ideal position for many in the idea here and I want to assure you this is high on the teams radar and we'll be certain to let you know if any plans are made that could impact you in dealing with private use depreciation, here.

Organisation settings - Ability to wind back/restore to a previous date
Ability to restore Xero org to previous date.
Purpose: To make customers able to get the previous data from the previous date if they made mistakes in their Xero org.
72 votesHi everyone, thank you for your engagement here in product ideas. While we appreciate wanting a direct option to be able to restart or restore an organisation at a point in time this isn't something we have intentions of developing for in Xero atm.
Xero performs daily backups of customer data to protect against data corruption and hosting service failures. However, these backups are not available for users to restore their organisation to a previous state.
Many actions in Xero are reversible (for example Remove & Redo on bank transactions) we have a help article on Xero Central that may help for some of the scenario's you're after, you may find the History & Notes is useful in determining what actions have been recently made so you can 'undo' these.
For future cases, if you're looking to try out a feature and not sure how it will work the demo company is always a great option to trial and test Xero's features.
