Reinstate NZ Annual Report template avaiability to non-partner users
Reinstate access to NZ Annual Report template for non-partner small business users. The NZ Annual Report template has been available to non-partner users for at least the last six years but has now been removed from the reporting templates available to non-partner users. For small businesses that prepare their own accounts the Annual Report template was very useful and time saving. Making it unavailable only has the effect of making us spend a heap of time re-building it outside of Xero or forcing us to waste money paying an accountant to do something Xero has previously enabled…
3 votesAppreciate the use you found in the older Annual report pack, Antony. We want to be upfront that we don't have any plans in the near term for developing this same pack in the newer reports. However, right now you'll find you can use the Management report pack, where you'll be able to add reports as you need into this, alternatively you could create your own report pack from scratch(this is available from the Search in the reports centre).
Understand not everyone feels the need to have an advisor but for others coming across that would like a bit more help with this sort of reports preparation you can find an advisor through the Xero advisor directory.

AU Payroll - Auto amend ABA date for back dated payroll
auto amend the ABA date to the current date for back dated payrolls
6 votesHi community, appreciate your sharing in community here. Atm if you're wanting to change the payment date for an unscheduled pay run, you can edit the payment date while the pay run is in draft status. We don't have any plans for automating this.

UK Payroll - Hide deep archived employees from Auto Enrolment Summary Report
The ability to export the auto enrolment pension report and also to "hide" deep archived employees. I check this report mid month and send a list to HR as a sanity check for those employees not yet enrolled/non eligible but now have to scroll through "all" employees past and present to get the current information. Not very user friendly. Even an export option with some way of then filtering whether the employee is current would be useful.

UK Payroll - Report that displays time off balance at a given date
Time Off
1. As a senior manager I want to export a report, in one operation, a table of employee name and hours left to book, I need this to chase employees who are not taking leave and know the financial risk we are carrying in the business from untaken leave e.g.Employee name | Hours not yet booked | Hours booked but not taken yet
Fred 80 16
Joe 16 8
and so on.....- Any chance we could have a quick panel of employee unapproved leave requests so I can quick go through this in the morning…

NZ Payroll - Allow timesheet approval for employees with authority
For employees who use Xero My Payroll, if you are a Payroll Admin user, you can grant employees authority to approve leave. The option for Timesheet approval should also be there, it is available in other countries but not NZ.

AU Payroll - Allow HECS / HELP tax deductions for Labour Hires
Prior to the upgrade, if you were a labour hire firm and had contractors who were not a company but used their TFN, you could select the box to allow additional tax deductions for HELP / HECS debts. With the new Phase 2 STP, Xero have confirmed that if you have labour hire using TFN's and they have a hecs debt you cannot check the box and will need to manually calculate the hecs amount to deduct each payrun. This means that every payrun, for every hecs debt you will need to manually add an amount working through…

AU Payroll - Show leave balance on payslip without accruals
Australian Payroll - sick leave on payslip - want to show balance without accrual in the payrun, and to be able to do this after employment has commenced. Currently this is only possible if you allocate the full balance to employee's at the start of the employment. Historically this has not been done and it needs to be changed to avoid staff confusion and having to reset the leave each payrun.
3 votesHi team, being open we don't have any plans around this atm. Currently to do this you would set the leave type calculation to 'No calculation required'. This will allow you to set the balance and have any accrual column showing.

AU Payroll - Option to split base rate and casual loading items
Please give us the option to split the base rate and casual loading items WHILE working with a timesheet. At the moment this has be manually done in every pay run if we want to show the loading separately.

AU Payroll - Resubmit bounced automatic superannuation payments
Currently, when super payments bounce, Xero sends us an email letting us know that a payment to a particular super fund from a particular payment batch has failed. Once we've identified whose it was, and got the updated details, we then have to contact Xero to get a re-processing authorised.
All of this takes time, during which the Directors of my clients may become liable for late super payments. I'd like a button to click to speed up at least the contacting Xero for re-processing bit - preferably as part of the process identify the…

Global Payroll - Dedicated Xero Payroll product for Canada
Payroll options for Canada :)
21 votesHi team, thanks for sharing your interest in a payroll product for Canada. We don't have any plans in the near term for developing specific payroll products for other regions, and I will move this idea to Not planned.
If you've been using our Global Pay Run product you may have recently received communication of changes we're making that we believe will help you manage your payroll more effectively.
- From 23 July 2025 Global Pay Run will become read-only. You'll still be able to see all your past payroll information, however you will not be able to process any new pay runs after this date.
- Global Pay run will be retired after April 2026, at which point you'll no longer be able to access pay run.
If you need to process payroll there are app partners available through our Xero app store, we encourage you to review their…

UK Payroll - Extend SSP without reverting pay runs
SSP EXTENSION; There needs to be a way of extending SSP
Most people who are off sick are not aware of when they will return, it is often necessary to be able to extend SSP. It is not acceptable to have a process that requires reverting payroll. I am still trying to get almost £5000 back from HMRC because Xero reported the variance in April as an additional payroll & the YTD figures have not corrected the issue. Reverting payroll should be the very last resort & not used for something as standard as stat sick…2 votes -
AU Payroll - Copying previous wages across to current week shortcut
It would be great if there was an option (tick the box) to copy last week's wages for the current week for payroll. I have casual staff who sometimes have the same hours as the previous week's so not having to replicate this would be great and the quickest way would be to have a tick the box which can copy it across to the current payroll

AU Payroll - Change default sort order of leave requests
It would be great if all the Completed leave was in order with the most recent at the top instead of having to change the order every time I need to see the most recent or scroll all the way to the bottom. I love how the rejected leave requests are now all at the bottom of the Leave list on the employee record but I'm not sure what the "Employee Surname (A-Z)" sort option is for when I'm in just one employee

UK Payroll - Seperate PAYE within Payroll to support Tronc
In UK hospitality, Tronc (tips) systems require a different PAYE to your normal payroll. It would be very useful if Xero could accommodate more than one Payroll, including PAYE reference and employees could have a job with each.
A pay run should be able to be created with each PAYE separately, and each would have its own coding to the balance sheet. e.g. Net Wages, and Net Wages Tronc are different numbers in COA.
As things stand I've had to create a second company, paying for a payroll which does not integrate into…

AU Payroll - Fixed amount leave requests for employs on an accrued leave balance
Currently, for monthly employees, Xero does not take into consideration the fact that they have been set up to be paid the same amount each month, therefore the days in the month are meaningless from a pay perspective. Unfortunately, this means that the basis leave accrues on to work out how many hours a public holiday/personal/annual leave day should be when leave is entered is also meaningless. Instead of defaulting to 7.6 (or 8) hours/day leave taken, it does a calculation based on the number of working days in a month. So if someone is being paid…

NZ Payroll - History and notes in Payroll to show changes made
There should be an audit trail in Payroll detailing when changes to an Employee record is made (for example: date an address was updated for an employee and what it was until that date, likewise for other details such as email address, bank account number, tax code etc). As an Employer we should be able to rely on the digitised Payroll system we are using to determine when changes to an Employee's record has been made. In terms of creating an audit trail, this doesn't necessarily only apply to Payroll only and should ideally be something that…
