  1. Bulk archive option for any contact either supplier and customer with no activity after 2 years or at least being able to run a report for the same inactivity (Smart list does not offer the options needed)

  2. The email template has changed which accompanies the invoice to the customer. We have a legal name plus a trading as name which people know us by. Currently the legal name is showing up boldly at the top of the email which it didn't before. We would like the trading name to be in this place so as not to cause confusion to our customers, or have the ability to remove it entirely as it has the logo there displaying the correct name.

    Hi community, we really appreciate your feedback on this and hearing why you'd like to be able to change the organisation's name that's shown when sending invoices from Xero.

    This is on our teams radar, and is something they may look into longer term however we want to be open that it's not in the current roadmap.

    We'll continue to track and keep across the interest from our community, and if there's any news to share we'll update you on this, here.

  3. Could we add a feature to enable us to email out service and inspection reminders up to 28 days before it is due.
    This could be done by date only.
    It would save us having to add another app and potentially another running system to get this feature.

  4. It would be great to look down the list of files in the Xero Files inbox and see a thumbnail image of what the PDF is, so that non-relevant ones or replicas can be deleted in bulk.

    When files are forwarded, often the attachment is loaded to the inbox along with multiple other files which turn out to be logos from the email signature, and it is time-consuming to have to open every file to find out whether it is relevant or not, and delete individually.

  5. Under all the new rules and regulations set down by the Tax Practitioners Board, it is a requirement to keep a backup copy of the data file. We do not want to start a new Xero file from a backup - that is not logical. We need the ability to click on a button and run a backup to comply with the new rules. Using another app is also not a solution. It must be built in the the Xero program that we can use as bookkeepers. This is an essential feature if we are to comply and do regular…

  6. Invoice reminders are currently "all or nothing". I dont want to chase my good clients with automated messages from Xero becuse it upsets them but I do want some of my clients to have auto reminders about invoices about to become due and invoices overdue, those who generally are bad payers. In the same way we have email and invoice templates can we have invoice reminder templates and when we raise an invoice be prompted to apply a reminder template (or not).   7. This seems like an absolute no-brainer.

    When looking for an invoice or payment, I often copy the amount from a remittance or similar, and it is a frustrating waste of time to have to manually remove the comma.

    This should be easy to implement, and would make the user experience smoother seamlessly.

  8. Please move the SAVE for the New invoicing to the bottom as per old invoicing. When you have an invoice with 30-50 items and then have to scroll back up to save it adds to the pressure of getting things done.

    Leave the old there until you've got it together and your Paid subscribers are happy.

    Hi everyone, just a quick update to let you know that we are aware of this request, and we get that having a direct bank feed for Chase Bank UK would streamline your workflow and make reconciling much easier.

    Currently, the best way to get your transactions into Xero is by manually importing your bank statements.

    For now, we’ll keep an eye on the engagement and support for this bank feed here, and let you know when we have any updates on this. 

  10. There are often periodic top up payments for accounts (e.g. Tolls) and a periodic statement provided after the fact.

    It would be useful to be able to set up a bank rule to apply these and reconcile the prepayments as the statements come in.

  11. The functionality to be able to raise and approve a Purchase Order which, at the point of approval, would create a double entry in the general ledger. Specifically:

    • Debit a Work in Progress (WIP) expenses account (to reflect anticipated expenditure),

    • Credit a creditors account (to reflect the anticipated liability).

    This would allow the PO to reflect a commitment in the accounts, enabling better management of Work In Progress and projected costs before the supplier invoice arrives.

    In an ideal world, to be able to allocate the PO to a Xero Project, so that WIP and anticipated costs appear…

    We understand why this idea is quickly gaining traction. Being able to start typing in the search bar as soon as the contacts page loads would be a small but meaningful improvement.

    Right now, the cursor doesn’t land in the search bar by default, so it’s an extra click each time.

    This idea's now in the Gaining Support stage. If it’s something that would make a difference to your workflow, adding your vote or comment helps us understand the wider demand—and gives our product team more to work with when prioritising updates.

    We’ll post here with any changes or progress.

  13. ISO 8601, the international standard for date and time formatting (adopted in the UK), defines Monday as the first day of the week. In invoicing Sunday seems to have been adopted recently and I can see from another thread this was deliberate, but this is NOT UK standard and our calendars adopt a Monday start so will confuse all UK users. Maybe adopt a setting where the user can define the setting instead of trying to suit the whole world...

    You're right this was a brief change that was made in invoicing however in consistency with how calendars appear in other areas of Xero this has been changed back and we also received feedback for calendars to run Sunday - Saturday.

    While we will track the interest from others in this here we want to be upfront that we don't have any further plans for changing start dates of this calendar.

  15. New invoicing...Very slow page load speeds to both open/create a new invoice on the new invoicing platform...and also to add a payment.

    Current wait time is 15-20 seconds per page load.

    Ive cleared cache and cookies to no avail

    Appreciate the short videos and can see what you're saying, Chris - Have you raised a case with our Xero Support team about the slowness in loading?

    Actual slowness in the page loading are issues that we'd like to dig into deeper as they aren't occurring for all users so it'd be good to be able to investigate one on one with our Xero Support team who can escalate if needed. Thanks

  16. Repeating Invoices - Ability to bulk update repeating invoices.

    We provide a subscription service which some of the 470+ customers have been using for years.

    At times we make changes to T&Cs, the wording, rates, payment services etc. and it would be extremely times shaving if we could do bulk changes i.e. change the Item, Due Date, Reference, Payment Services etc, without having to go into each repeating invoice individually.

  17. Currently, employees cannot add allowances to their timesheet if they are setup as fixed amounts (i.e - nightshift allowance where an employee works at night)

    An employee should have the capability of adding the allowances they are entitled to where appropriate. The approver would then review before approving.

    Thanks for raising your feedback with us here. It's really good to understand what's important to help our customers working in Xero.

    If possible it'd be great to get more detail as to why you're often needing to access the Tracking Settings? In many places you'll find that you can add new tracking options for a category while on the go and entering transactions in your org, so would appreciate deeper understandings of your business flows here.

  19. At the moment, when we email a statement from Xero, the customer only receives a static snapshot plus invoice links that reflect the balance at that point in time. If a payment or new invoice is issued after we send it, we must send another statement manually for them to see the updated balance.

    It would be extremely helpful if Xero offered a secure link or customer-facing portal where each customer could view a live statement of their account at any time — showing all outstanding, overdue, and paid invoices in real time — without us needing to resend updated…

  20. As an accountant I prefer the Reporting and Accounting tabs together, under one tab as it has always been. It would slow me down, if I had to search for accounting tools/reports under different tabs.
