  1. In the activity tab in contacts, it'd be great to be able to have a "files" column just like in the bills section, so that we can preview the invoices to the side rather than having to click into the bill to see the invoice.

  2. I'd like the ability to remove the "Forwarded Bill" note from the Reference field on the Bills tabs.

    Purpose: to make the data on these tabs easier to view. All of our bills are input via the Email Bill to Xero functionality - this note therefore appears on every single bill and is not only redundant but makes the actual references / invoice numbers harder to read.

  3. We have to regularly edit invoices from specifics suppliers to correct pennies in the VAT boxes to ensure these match. Using up valuable and unnecessary time.

    We use another software with another company that gets this spot on every time, but considering we pay for Xero we felt it would be helpful to get the VAT extraction down to 100% accuracy.

  4. Our company has locations in in London, France, Germany, and the US and has a Xero entity set up for each.

    I onboarded all employees to Xero Expenses 2 months ago and staff are happy with the mechanics of the process.

    The challenge I have is the approval hierarchy. All expense approvals sit with me. This needs to change as each line manager/ department/ team head should be responsible for approving their teams’ expenses.

    We have a tracking option for “Department” which can be used to pool employees in their respective teams.

    HI team, appreciate not directly within the Customer statement at present and being open we don't have immediate change planned for adding this to the customer statement. However, for the time being you could look to run the Customer Invoice Activity report which has a few more options for the columns and detail shown. 

    Once you've set up as you like you could save as Custom to make this readily available in your org and export to share externally with a customer/client. 

  8. When I create a sales credit note for an invoice, there is no option to send it to the client at the same time as approving it. Also, Xero sends me back to the original invoice when I approve the credit note, so in order to send a copy to the client, I have to:
    - create the credit note
    - open the credit note
    - send the credit note

  10. Bank Rules for Split allocations and less steps to overpayments.
    We have a subscription business and invoice annually, I go into each customer, search, then split, add the payment amount, then click ok, then click reconcile. (sometimes I have to unclick the invoice it tried to match ; adding another step)
    I would prefer a bank rule to search first on the customer and not the amount, improved AI. Then match the payment to the sales invoice as a split more quickly, rather than a 3 step process, to automatically make the overpayment the amount paid.

  11. Just showing 2 decimals on payslips for hours worked and hourly rate for example, seems like a overkill to have 41.50000 hours and generally has way too many 0's on it all over the place.
    Plus more ability to change / edit the payslip layout.

  12. Bank statement search needs to allow the user to filter the search by spent or received as the amounts elements apply to both spent and received.

    Also - please fix the bug with status being ignored by the search.

  13. We are in the building industry and receive building contracts with an income schedule. It would be good if Xero had the ability for us to email a payment schedule into Xero, similar to how you can email a bill into Xero, and Xero could automatically create draft invoices in accordance with the schedule. The user can then review the draft invoices and approve them as the stages are completed.

  14. A separate section within Xero that allows you to handle and process client money. This does not appear in the main balance sheet but operates independently. Client money is linked to the contacts but is kept separate from the business accounting. Cashbook operates in the a similar way with a bank link, but the client balance shows as a separate box. Allow payment of invoices from the client account to cover invoices. This would help small legal firms and other businesses that handle client money.

  17. Within Xero Projects, we would like the functionality to be able to amend the project setting so that we can set the default to non-chargeable for bills and expenses rather then the current automatic % markup.

    The current approach means that the project reporting shows bills outstanding when they aren't particularly relevant when you have contractors delivering the work for an agreed price. at the moment we have to go into each category and amend each line item

  18. My clients access most of their viewing data on the app but cannot see the monthly reports that I publish without logging into the website. Can these published reports be viewed on the app? Can they receive a notification when new reports are published?

  19. can the payroll fields be smart fields similar to invoices which allow simple numerical computations. Most invoice fields allow you to add simple calculations into the fields for dates and amounts. This functionality is not available in payroll fields

  20. We run a music festival of 10 concerts. Each concert is set up as a tracking category. It would be great to spread the direct and admin costs across evenly acoss all 10 concerts in a way that doesn't involve entering each invoice across 10 lines.
