  3. I have a growing body of CIS subcontractors who would like to use products and services to save time when raising sales invoices to regular construction customers. Unfortunately, you cannot select CIS labour income when setting up a product and service. If you could it would automate so much of their sales invoices.

  4. Good day, we would appreciate it if you can add a feature in the search criteria to allow you to search in any field.

    The purpose would be if you searched for an amount or description it would pick that up irrespective of how a transaction was processed. This will make find and recode or fixing incorrect items on the Account transactions easier.

    Hi Gerrit, just to check it sounds like you're referring specifically to the search in Find and recode - would this be correct? Or would you like to search by any field in the top navigation search?

  5. Would like to see Current Account codes rollover each year to an Opening Current Account Balance (same with GST codes, Tax codes, HP's, Bank loans) - like P&L items do to Retained Earnings code. And show the Opening Balance on the Trial Balance.
    Currently Xero Trial Balance shows Current Account codes (& all of the above codes) with accumulated Opening Balance & current year movement.
    However the report formatting in the advisor standard reports appears to be driven off movements in the current year (so we can't journal the closing balances from last year to an opening balance code -…

  7. General Ledger export from Xero file. Currently when you export the general ledger transactions from Xero and import into MYOB (which we use MYOB AO for our year end Financials) the transactions are the full audit history of the Xero transactions not just what shows in a general ledger report. If transactions have been edited in any way this creates multiple additional entries and reversals to sift through in MYOB. It would be great to have the option to exclude the audit history transactions and just have what shows in the general ledger report.

  8. When converting a Purchase Order to a bill it would be great if there was a way of transferring any PDFs attached to the PO to the Bill. At the moment you need to remember to do this manually.

  9. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to update multiple notes at once. For example, if I have a list of 300 invoices and a statement has been sent, I want to see that note on each invoice, so that anyone going into that account can see the last action. So for example, I want to add the note 'Statement sent today requesting payment by 19th April' to all 300 invoices, but I want to be able to select them all and add that note once, not 300 separate times.

  10. Change Expense Claimant in Expense Claims.
    I have a delegate who adds most all of my expenses using XeroMe.

    They are not an employee rather a bookeeper at the accountant. At present using XeroMe all expeneses are created in their name and in Xero, it states them as an Employee and after saving or submitting you cannot change whom it is for.

    In Xero on a laptop, you can change who a claim is for, why is this greyed out in XeroMe?
    It should be the same.

  11. The report should be able to generate Employee Name (First & Last in separate columns), DOB, TFN, Bank Details provided, Super Funds & Address.

  12. Hi there, it would be great if we were able to edit the due dates of invoices that were created in a now locked period, our business (and I'm sure many others) have invoices with due dates that often change.

    We do not need to change anything other than the invoice due dates so if this could be added even as an optional feature for a locked period that would be very useful.

  13. Draft sales invoice. I would be helpful that when entering a sales invoice for a customer if Xero could advise/warn you that there is already a "Draft" invoice in the system.
    I add to draft invoices each week, and sometimes a draft that is already in existence gets missed.

  14. Fixed asset schedules are pretty standard and the information we need to include is pretty standard.

    The current functionality in Xero does not allow columns to be group together so we get a fixed asset schedule report with a lot of columns that is quite wide and squished up.

    This idea is to add functionality to allow columns to be added together i.e. additions and disposals, depreciation rate and method, to condense the report and allow a more polished version to be created for included within annual financial statements.

  16. When bulk importing invoices, I want everything to have the same item code and description.

    BUT when they import, the item description does not pull through.

    And the item code needs reclicking to make it pull through.

    Therefore, you have to go into every invoice individually.

    It should be updated so that when you import invoices, everything pulls through correctly.

  17. We recently converted from Quickbooks Desktop and are trying to reproduce a "Sales by Customer" Report that sorts descending by gross invoice amount but groups the contacts within the contact group together. In Xero, I cannot figure out a way to accomplish this.

  18. We recently converted from Quickbooks Desktop and are trying to reproduce a "Sales by Customer" Report that is sorted by gross invoice amount. In Xero, I can click on the column header to accomplish this, but when I save the draft report or export to PDF, the sort order is not maintained. I would like the ability to change the report format to maintain the sort order after saving.

    Thanks for confirming, Paul and apologies it's taken a little time to round back to your message. We have another idea that you may like to join for filtering the report by contact group.

    With the request around bad debts - is there a particular way you are handling these in Xero atm?

    Potentially adding Payments/Credits column to the report will help with this? This way when you run the report you could then re-order by the Payments/Credits column to view those that have paid the most > least.

This is very similar to https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/46454503-reporting-ability-to-save-to-same-draft-file, except that we need this same functionality for reports that have been saved as custom reports. I'm tired of having new copies made of an income statement whenever I add an account and need to change where it is grouped. This should be a simple edit & save. While Save As is needed, it should not be the default and only option.

  20. I would like to be able to see Check numbers in the list of invoices owed. that way when I view a client and their activity ... the invoice shows paid ... I would be able to see the check number they paid with. The reason is sometimes a client sends a check and does not indicate what invoice to apply it to. I normally apply it to the oldest invoice or the month they sent the payment. When they say I paid Feb with chk number 1234, I can look and see what invoice I applied it too and…
