  1. Could we include a notification when a staff member has a birthday? This has multiple benefits including allowing us to check if their award salary or benefits need to change and also be able to congratulate them on their birthday. Surely it wouldn't be a huge change to make but would be a unique and helpful change for many SME as I currently need to create a new Google calendar for staff birthdays, creating additional work especially when we have 50+ staff and low retention in hospitality. Thank you.

    Appreciate the interest through the idea, but want to be open that we don't have any development planned for adding reminders or notification of an employees birth date atm. 

    I see there are some supporters from NZ and UK in the idea here and wanted to point you across to these specific ideas for each region that I'd encourage adding your support for - Each version of Xero Payroll has been developed specifically for the that regions tax and reporting obligations and this would need to be developed for each version separately. Thanks

  2. Requested that Xero pull the project names to put on invoices. The information is already entered, would be a big time saver to auto-populated to project name on an invoice rather than manually typing it in

    It would be great if you could replace the underscores with spaces when downloading PDF reports from Xero - currently we have to tidy this up before sending reports to clients which takes unnecessary time.

  5. It would be a huge benefit to be able to recall an email (with invoice attached) sent in error to the wrong client.

    An invoice has now gone to the wrong client and my manager will now have to have an embarrassing conversation with the competitor, due to my mistake.

  6. Allow Xero users permission to authorise employee timesheets. At the moment only the payroll administrator or specific employee has the ability to do this. Payroll permissions under settings/users should be expanded to be more granular, with an option to allow users permission to authorise timesheets. Alternatively, under the employee details in Payroll, an option to select authorised Xero users whom may sign off timesheets for that user.

  7. Ability to have more flexible permission in Xero Payroll, especially for read only Payroll reports and to give other users permission to approve/decline leave requests.

    Hi community, we understand user roles and the permissions a user has across an organisation is important to many businesses. Right now, as some may have seen across other ideas I've updated - we have some research underway to help us better understand where and how we might best tackle the most predominant needs in roles.

  8. Location and time tracking, as it stands you can only enter start and finish time. Be good to have a login and logout to track worked hours in real time not just estimating. Location tracking through the timesheet would also help with when switching jobs.

  9. We need to be able to create a report that lists inventory item sales and includes the customer name AND other customer contact information such as email address or phone number.

    There have been occasions where I've needed to contact a large group of customers that have purchased a product from me due to a misprint in a book or an update to a title. At present, the only way I can do this is to export my inventory report and add the contacts manually. Xero Support Specialist - Daniel has confirmed this.

  10. Multiple sections in a single quote with their own separate totals.

    Purpose: when quoting on similar products with different pricing to present to a client, with their own separate totals. Currently, we have to send a separate quote to the same client which means they're receiving multiple emails from us.

  11. A number of my client are service businesses and as such all of the payroll costs should be posted either to a Cost of Sale account for Operational staff or Overhead for support staff. I can achieve this for all costs except for Employer NIC cost, which has to be manually moved. It would be beneficial if the NIC could go to an NIC GL dependent upon the type of basic pay chosen.

  12. VAT reporting in the EU includes ICP reporting for sales to other EU countries (aka pre-Brexit EC Sales reporting). Part of the reporting requirement is to supply the customers VAT number on the ICP return. The customers VAT number is supplied at the time of invoicing and is included on the invoice and in the customer contact details so is an existing field in Xero.   16. Suggestion: enable the 'Columns' feature that is available in the customer activity list to more parts of Xero. I would like to be able to hide the 'Cost Price' column from Products & Services on the front-of-house system so it's not visible to customers when we are doing a price check.

  18. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.

  19. The current version of Shopify Integration App, does not support bringing across the Shopify Order ID, this means the only method you have to check the system is to match the date and the amount.

    You can imagine if you get 3 orders in 1 day that are the same amount its impossible to match them correctly.

    Can we make the system use the Shopify Order ID as the Invoice number?
    To prevent duplication previous apps i have used in xero have applied a prefix to the invoice id, for example NWB- so it would look like this NWB-4615

  20. Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.
