  2. Using notifications are a great way to communicate on a job and keeping the history of the same. One frustration I have is when a new note is created I get a notification to tell me a new note has been added but I do not know what the subject of the new notification is from my on screen notification. This can be a problem as some notifications take only a few moments of my time whilst others require me to set aside a substantial amount of time, but I cant tell which it is from the on screen notification.…

  3. Xero Sign Address book or similar

    Would be great if Xero sign had some form of memory or address book for people who had previously signed, rather than having to input the details each time.

    Whether is was linked to practice manager or just within Xero sign, it would save time having to look up client email addresses, and possible typos in names/emails!

  4. Dear Support, it would be very handy to have a report so that we can ascertain the status of a clients AS. I know that there is the visual on the status bar. But if you do not have the AS an automated process, for workflow purposes, it would be good to know that is a client is scheduled to has an AS completed, that in fact, this has been completed in the workflow.   5. We, as a tax agent, would find it extremely useful if we could set a default payment letter template for each client - maybe have a selection option on the client page. Then when we send out bulk payment letters we know they are going to receive the correct details each time.

    Hi everyone, as Charlotte has mentioned below, this is not a feature we are currently planning to introduce due to other commitments. However, we will continue to monitor this ticket.

    In the meantime, as a workaround, the adjustment can be manually entered in both the self employment and partnership schedule.

  8. In personal tax there appears to be no provision to enter capital allowance for self employment in the form of a schedule which personal tax can keep year to year. This would help when writing down existing assets as well as adding and claiming for new assets differentiating the assets between main pool/special rate pool and assets with a personal use element to enter the percentage to apply.

    Hi everyone, Xero is committed to supporting the tracking of capital allowances claimed on capital expenditure. We understand how this will save with partners and remove manual tracking of written down allowances. At the moment we don't have confirmed date when this will be picked up, but as soon as we do we will let you know here.

  9. It would be great if the equity workpaper allowed for current year P&L reserve. This allows you to double check once the dividends are posted that the Equity section is not negative.

  11. Multi select or more filter options when processing superannuation payments. This would expediate processing super payments for large employers. For example, you should be able to filter the super payment to show only last month super and select all and submit for payment. At the moment, if we want to process the previous month's super, we have to manually unselect each employee super that relates to the next month or quarter that we aren't required to pay yet.

  14. In XPM at the moment a Client is either "Active" or "Archived". The relationships function could be extremely powerful if we have the ability to add a "non client" in order to use them to define a relationship. For example, at the moment we can only add directors to a company where the directors are also clients. For us it means that our relationships are on average only 50% complete as on average only 50% of the related parties are also clients with us.

  15. Regarding the newly added "Other Name" for individuals and sole traders the following:
    Please add this field as a column on the screen that lists all the clients.
    The reason why we are urgently asking for this is that we only use Initials + Last Names in the display name (as this works better on reports and invoices) and we have multiple individuals with the same last name (even with the same initials). If the "other name" is shown on this screen, it would make it so much easier to select the correct client to work with.

  16. In XWP when a task is archived you cannot click on the documentation tab on the task/GL level. You can only find documentation via the section at the bottom of the pack.

    I think you should be able to click on the documentation on the task/GL level even when achieved so you know what documentation relates to each task/GL account without having to figure it out by looking at the documentation names (ex: if you have 5 pieces of documentation relating to 5 different GL accounts, you see them all grouped at the bottom of the pack and you don't…

  17. When using Xero tax for sole trader self assessments, and importing the Xero sole trader accounts, it would be so useful to generate reports that don't include the balance sheet, i.e. it would be better if one could edit the reports according to an individual requirements/reporting needs.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in this idea. Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.

    Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders.   19. Ability to have separate and unlinked depreciation schedules available in Xero Tax a still print a depreciation report would be very useful. At times there is no requirement to link a depreciation schedule to a particular area with the tax return (it may not be relevant for the current year however is required in future years) or the schedules relates to two areas within the tax return. I have circumstances where rental assets has differing ownership percentages which causes a nightmare using the current depreciation processes.
