  1. When uploading a set of annual accounts to Xero Sign, the only option available is to add a signature field.

    For company and trust annual accounts, we typically also include a minute and sometimes other resolutions (created from a Xero report pack). It would be great to able to insert a date field in the minute, like you can with other e-signing platforms.

    The current workaround is to use another e-signing service to send the annual accounts, and use Xero Sign for the tax returns - which adds confusion for our clients and we're often having to chase them up…

  2. When using Xero Workpapers, it imports the figures across from the Xero client file without decimals. Therefore, when I'm comparing these figures in Workpapers to client reports and bank statements these are often slightly out.

    Can you please update Workpapers so that there is an option to show decimal places?

  3. It would be good to be able to completely delete bank statement lines, so that they are no longer visible as deleted transactions, where, for example they have been imported into the wrong bank account, or client account.

  4. we can now do a prefilling of a return very easily, however, we still need to go into the ATO website to download the full prefilling report (approximate 2 -3 minutes) to find any ATO warnings such a Crypto currency transactions or Capital Gain Disposals for shares....or even worse the client has a warning about excessive prior year deductions claimed. If this was to come across when Xero did the download ATO prefilling and come up on the Xero warning when you validate the returns ...this would save time and potential missing of these warnings

  6. Is there an easy way to create/run reports tailored specifically for charities or is it just me that I am finding it difficult to find ? I've got the charity set up as a non-for-profit organisation which doesn't seem to make much difference at all.
    It's disappointed to see Xero doesn't have any reports templates for charities.
    Executive report cannot be overtype as needed - It's not possible to change "Profit (Loss)" line within profitability to Surplus/Deficit.

    Regarding Current Year Earnings, it isn't currently possible to rename this to current year funds, or to code manual journals from this to…

  7. I would like to request that a report be designed where you can determine which purchase orders contain the "quantity on order" on a specific code. At the moment the only report you can pull is one where it shows which bills and invoices contain that code.

    We work with thousands of products, and we need to find a way to determine which purchase orders have certain codes. There should be an option to pull a report based on the item code, showing what is on order (including the PO number) as well as the bills and invoices.

  8. Automation of Approval for STP filing.
    The ATO requires approval from the client for every STP filing. I would like to see in the Xero/Payroll/Pay Employees/Payrun/Pay Run Options/ drop down menu (where the current options of Download ABA, Email Payslips, and Revert to Draft to also include an option to send approval request to xx@***.com for approval to lodge STP F. It would be good for a copy of the Payroll Activity Details be sent to the client, with the request for approval.

  10. No option to select 'File MTD VAT Return' in bulk for clients when setting up a new staff member in Xero HQ. After assigning the clients in bulk for a new staff member you have to then go into each client individually to give this permission.

  11. Add restriction on changing bank account details for client (in XPM and tax return).
    Given Optus and related fraud - > not all staff should have the ability to update bank account details on a client.
    There should be the ability to restrict this so procedures - eg phone calls to verify etc - can be put in place.

  12. In "Tax" tab, at the moment if youlook up a return in "draft" then go back you are automatically taken back to "All Returns" - if you were able to stay in the same heading that would save time rather having All Returns as default

    Currently, in XPM it's only possible to customise a cover page of a tax return. However, it's not possible to customise the actual return including the last page.
    We'd like to be able to customise the last page to enable an anchor phrase to be entered to assist preparing templates for DocuSign automated signing platform.

    Thanks for the detail in your response, Stacey and I'd highly recommend sharing the link to the idea here with others in your business that'd find this useful to help us get a better sense of the overall interest. 

    Being open while appreciate the ease this would create for individual users, building customisation at this level would be quite complex. Not something we have plans for at present but we'll get a sense of the interest here. 🙂

  16. Time Sheet Calendar.
    One of the best features of APS is the ability to enter time in a calendar view. You can specify the time units ie 6min, 10 min etc and it presents a week on view for you to add time aka MS Outlook Calendar.

  17. Fixed Assets - Asset Serial Numbers Printing on Depr Schedule
    It would be helpful to have as a print option for the Depreciation Schedule the ability to print asset serial numbers. This is one of the few fields not current able to be selected.

    Application is transport Companies and Engineering Companies which have a high reliance on serial number identification.

  18. It would be really useful if in Xero Central you could create a record of achievement which shows any Xero training which has been completed along with the date it was completed. I know you can see the modules that have been done, but it doesnt give the date and it doesnt display in a way that is easy to export to show others for CPD purposes.

  19. We are starting to utilise the Xero email function to push PDF attachments through to files, to then either raise a bill or spend money.

    For ease could it be possible to show the number of documents that need attention ie. Files (8) when we drop down on the client name?

  20. Can we have the ability to search for a transaction , by amount , payee or description across all bank accounts. Rather than having to go into each bank account and sort dates etc and than search. Having the option to choose all bank accounts, rather than an individual bank account would be awesome.
