  2. Looking at the new interface at https://www.xero-reimagined-nav-hp.com/ the widgets fly in from the side, and the charts all animate from zero to their full value. I have an accessibility requirement to have reduced motion, and have selected this option on my computer which the new Xero website is ignoring. Websites can use this selection as shown in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@media/prefers-reduced-motion and https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG22/Techniques/css/C39. Can you please implement the best practice for accessibility, and ensure all users can comfortably use your updated website by removing unnecessary animation when requested with the reduce motion option?   3. Currently this only shows over a 12 month period when in all cases I'd like to see how well each customer or supplier has performed against the same month last year.

    At worst could this not simply be a 15 month graph (as if it were 13 then the previous month/previous year would drop of when everything was in by the beginning of the following month?

    • at best could you select filters to compare even the past 3 years by month etc...

    We appreciate the feedback on having more controls over the period of the cash in and out widget.

    With the rollout of the new Homepage underway our product teams have a close ear to the ground of feedback and I'll be sure to update if there is any changes planned for the periods of this widget here.

  4. Hi, on the new dashboard, I don't get or can't see an option for staff leave/holiday requests. It doesn't come up on the task lists either. I feel this might be an oversight, but this could easily be missed.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the suggestion—it’s clear that having a Leave Requests widget on the dashboard would make it much easier to see upcoming time off at a glance. We can see how this quick visibility would help managers plan staffing and stay on top of pay runs without extra navigation.

    I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much value a dedicated homepage summary would bring to managers and business owners.

    Appreciate your feedback here Mary. While we don't have immediate plans around changing of the fonts, we'll gauge a sense of this from others in the community here. We will monitor this space for any updates!

  6. Order of Bank Accounts used to be based on the way they were organized from the Bank Accounts page, and then each user could rearrange their Homepage widgets. Now this sorting doesn't seem to impact the way the Homepage is sorted.

    AND, if new accounts are added, not only does the old Bank Accounts page order have anything to do with the new Homepage, but new accounts are not automatically added to the dashboard. You have to:
    1) Edit Homepage
    2) Add Widget
    3) Toggle the New Bank Accounts on to Show on the Homepage
    4) Save
    5) Scroll down…

    Thanks for the feedback here team, understand how reflecting the order of the bank accounts from the bank accounts page would be useful for some users.

    We'll continue to track interest in this here and let you know if there are any updates to the behaviour of ordering planned, however it's not in the pipeline at present.

    In terms of showing new bank accounts - the first bank account you add is shown by default. As you add new bank accounts there is a banner that'll show to let you know new accounts are available and you can use the Edit homepage option to choose which widgets you'd like to have shown on your homepage.

  7. I would rather have a list of outstanding invoices (names and amounts) on the dashboard instead of a graph with the totals owed. (same layout as the recently paid invoices list which i have removed completely as its not necessary)

Atm we don't have any plans for surfacing your outstanding invoices as a list within the widget, however we appreciate feedback we've received around the graph and our team are working on some sizing updates that would enable you to remove the graph on both the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets. You can stay updated on this work through the idea here.

  8. Today I learned with shock that the new dashboard only supports 50 bank accounts for display. Unfortunately, we have more accounts which on the new dashboard layout will not be shown. That is not good for our organisation. The workaround via the "list of accounts" is cumbersome and definitely not an improvement.

    If more than 50 bank accounts cannot be displayed on the dashboard or "Home" page, would it be possible to have FOLDERS on the dashboard like folders on a PC desktop or on a smartphone? Then I could allocate around 10 bank accounts into one folder according to…

  9. The new layout is harder to follow multiple bank accounts and its says "reconciled" when you still have items to reconcile which is confusing. You need to look for the green reconcile button and ignore the word reconciled.

  10. Create a "low bandwidth" version this is now so much slower than the old page on slow internet connections 271 resource requests is just stupid for a home page and 1=nearly 50mb of resources? not everyone has fiber to the building and a 250mb/s connection.

    Hi Geoffery, thanks for sharing this! We can see how a smoother experience on slower connections would make working in Xero more seamless, especially when you’re remote or have limited internet.

    Right now, using the Xero mobile app for lighter tasks or clearing your browser cache can help speed things up, but we know a dedicated low-bandwidth mode would make day-to-day work even easier.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much of a difference this would make.

  11. Like others, I think the options listed for profit and loss on the hompage are too restrictive. The app has better options. I want to know where I stand financially including upcoming payments (to distribute profits) so I tend to use the "Finincial year" P&L rather than "year to date". The app has this but the homepage doesn't.

    Thanks for your feedback! It makes complete sense that you’d want the same visibility on your desktop as you have on your mobile app, especially when you're trying to track your financial position for the full year.


    I’ve classified this as Gaining Support. While you can see this data by clicking through to your full Profit and Loss report, I agree that having a "Financial Year" toggle directly on the Dashboard widget would be a great efficiency win.


    I've updated the title of your idea to "Dashboard - Add 'Financial Year' option to the Profit and Loss widget" to help other users find and vote for it.

I wanted to share some thoughts on the latest Xero homepage redesign after seeing a comment that really resonated with me about how much space the widgets are now taking up and how much more cluttered it is now. From a web design point of view, it’s just not intuitive, it’s cluttered and feels way too full, especially compared to the previous version where the widgets sat nicely in the centre and only took up maybe 50% of the page.

    I genuinely believe the homepage experience could be dramatically improved with just a few changes:

    We’ve moved this idea to Gaining support. This means it’s not currently scheduled on our roadmap, but we agree it could improve key banking workflows, so we’re now watching community votes and comments to help us prioritise it alongside other homepage and bank feeds work.


    Please keep adding any extra details about your workflow (for example, how often you’re refreshing and how many bank accounts you manage) and encourage others who’d benefit to add their vote — that will help us understand the impact when we’re reviewing future changes to the homepage bank accounts widget.

  14. Task List - Add "Refresh/Renew Bank Feed" warnings to the task list (limited to banks shown on the dashboard to prevent unnecessary warnings on old accounts). The task list is incredibly useful and for my own Homepage, I have moved the bank accounts to below the rest of the tables to try to maximise the usefulness of the homepage. This makes the warnings less visible.

    Understand how having notifications for bank feed refreshes added to the Task list could be helpful, and great to hear you find this widget useful. 🙂

  15. The Cash In & Cash Out tab could benefit from the ability to determine if the cash in OR cash out is from P&L items or Balance Sheet Items.

    For instance if a large cash injection occurred from the director you'd have a large cash in, which wouldnt match the profit. In contrast, a payment of liabilities for tax/gst may impact cash flow and skew the results for cash out.

    The suggestion would be for a stacked/filtered view on the IN and the OUT bars, to either display the stacked cash in (on top of each other), for P&L and…

    We don't have any plans of this nature just atm, but will be keeping a close eye on the appetite of this here and I'll share if there are any updates.

  16. Allow duplicate widget tiles

    For instance, allowing us to have a tile for 'Net profit and loss - year to date' AND a tile for 'Net profit and loss - last quarter' etc. without having to switch the one 'Net profit and loss' from year to date to last quarter.

    Also being able to specify a 'tracking category' for any given tile would allow us to separate PnL at a glance without having to go through the reporting to do so.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea. Being able to have multiple versions of a widget would make it much easier to compare different data points at a glance—like this month’s sales versus the same period last year—without constantly adjusting filters or date ranges.

Allow 2 categories of Cash Out since i am a sole trader and my drawings are included in cash out so the widget is useless if i cant either exclude drawings or split cash out between Busienss Cash Out and Owner Drawings Cash out. Just keep the Cash out bar but split into two colours so that you can see Cash out Business and Cash out Drawings.

  18. I love that there is an easy to see red link to overdue invoices on the homepage, but could this also be added to the Invoices page? I keep going through extra clicks because I click into my overdue invoices to deal with them, select an invoice, and then have the 'back to invoices' link but if I click this there is then no option to select only overdue invoices to view. Also it would be great when viewing all invoices to have some easy way (maybe an '!' symbol or similar so it's colour-blind friendly) to identify which ones…

    Hi Laura, thanks for putting this forward.

    Having a quicker way to access overdue invoices would certainly make daily credit control more efficient and help you stay on top of cash flow.

    In the meantime, you can select the “Overdue” section within the Invoices owed to you widget on the dashboard to jump straight to those invoices. If you open an invoice from that list, using your browser’s back arrow will return you to the same overdue view. Another option is to open invoices in a new tab so the overdue list remains open in the original tab.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can capture interest and share with the product team how useful a dedicated shortcut would be.

  19. The only option is for the Homepage - but my suggestion is for the whole system.

    Having negative values in brackets and coloured RED - easier to see at a glance. To me that should be a basic feature. Extending that to reports also so there is less filtering etc.
